    Cosmoteer is a starship design, simulation, and battle game. Design a fleet of ships by laying out individual rooms and corridors, including cannons, lasers, shields, and thrusters. Battle other starships to earn bounties and use that money to expand your own ship. A dynamic crew and combat simulation makes every design decision important and interesting.
    ► Cosmoteer Gameplay Features
    Design the greatest starship ever made using an interface that is easy-to-learn yet incredibly flexible.
    Build your ship by placing individual modules onto a grid-weapons, shields, engines, reactors, crew's quarters, and more! Few restrictions and no pre-defined, creativity-limiting hull shapes mean you can create almost any ship you can imagine.
    The exterior of a ship is like an artist's canvas, but it requires no drawing ability to make your ship look great! Simply pick a color and texture to customize your ship's basic appearance, then optionally add decals such as shapes, symbols, and letters to give it extra visual flourish. Painting your ship is free and has no effect on gameplay.
    You are a bounty hunter, traveling from sector to sector, hunting down renegade enemies and destroying them.
    Earn money for every enemy vanquished. Use your income to repair and upgrade your own fleet, growing bigger and more powerful with every victory.
    Explore a galaxy in search of bigger and more powerful enemies. The galaxy will crumble before your almighty armada!
    Or play in a creative sandbox mode with unlimited credits if being a bounty hunter isn't your cup of Earl Grey-the only limit is your imagination! (And the power of your computer.)

    The best way I have seen mines use is in a ramming craft. From some testing about a month ago the actual mines bypass shield so if you can get them behind the shields before the explode they deal fantastic damage.

    I have really been enjoying your cosmoteer series! Not gonna lie, sometimes I scream a bit at your ship designs, but then I also remember that you're playing at grand admiral. Which is honestly a pain in the a**. I tried it and honestly did not enjoy it.. it feels unfair! I guess my tolerance for repairs after battle is lower than yours XD never can stand losing ships..
    Either way, reason I'm commenting here is props for using mines! I've been trying to find content about mines in cosmoteer for ages! Glad to see something original :D

    Always nice to see more vids!
    Unsolicited idea time: Slice the Besra in half vertically, make it as fast as possible. Your ships engage, the Besra zooms past and does a mine broadside moves out of combat range, rearms, turn and repeat :P All mine launchers just on the one side xD

    Mine layers, nice concept
    but when compared to the missiles,
    in need of a bit of balancing.

    You mine vessel should be fast. I want to suggest a single rail long enough to max range. The shape of you ship is almost perfect for that setup. Keeping it at a distance and keeping it under threat could persuade enemy vessel into pursuit. Then the mines come in.

    From what I can tell, mines seem to have one use and one use alone, PD Chaff. You launch launch them in waves in order to prevent point defense from shooting down your missiles and nukes. But that leads to the issue of, why are you getting within mine range when using missiles.

    Mines are great as an added distraction to draw fire mostly. I usually put 2 mine dispensers up top on a capital ship and they do well against the large packs of small ships. Occasionally, they do some great damage against large ships with wide openings, especially after an EMP hits and knocks out the shields. Otherwise very expensive to run. Their targeting range is very short, so it helps if you turn them on to fire continuously as you kite. Not going to work purely as a minelaying ship. Fireworks is pretty though.

      @@archimeleonlion2922 , they do? Guess I've never noticed that really. Definitely not with small shields. With large shields, it's possible, if the enemy ship is going really fast and it activates inside the shield. But at grand admiral, I'm not sure how underwhelming it would be even if it did happen. Even fires take a really long time to wreck enemy ships.
