- After finishing GTA SA, I decided to revisit GTA 3 as well, then I thought why not make a video out of it?
also I'm sure it goes without saying but this "guide" is a shitpost and is not meant to be taken seriously, but do what you want, I can't stop you

*Fun fact #1:*
The NPC that drove into the water at 1:11 did die. However, cars in this game actually drive themselves and aren't driven by the NPC inside them. The trigger for them to stop driving is the NPC exiting the car. In this case, since the NPC died inside the car and never exited, the car continues trying to drive itself.
If you were to find a way to get that car back out of the water, you'd see that there's no one inside (NPCs that die in cars in GTA 3 are immediately deleted) and it's driving on its own. This is most interesting to do with police cars, because they will chase you, but when you stop, they will just stop next to you and do nothing (because there's no cop inside to get out and try to arrest you).
I believe this works in 3, VC, LCS, and VCS. I don't think this is possible in SA since NPCs immediately exit a car when it hits the water (plus SA actually keeps corpses in cars instead of deleting them, so there may also be a trigger for the car not to drive anymore when there's a corpse in the driver's seat).
*Fun fact #2:*
In most (if not all) versions of GTA 3, you can prevent NPCs from pulling you out of your car by simply looking left or right. For some reason, NPCs can't open your doors when you are doing this. Might be related to the drive-by animation associate with looking left and right? Can't quite remember since it's been so long. I just remember it being a great way to stop yourself from getting busted while driving.

Another idea is to take a speed car when there is a thief who wants to rob you, when he opens the door, start a little and when he gets in, go fast.They can do whatever they want, throw it in the car in the river or scare it away.
Playing GTA 3 on my old laptop with mods to leave it well tuned (without bugs, errors, etc.) was the best decision I made because I was able to enjoy GTA 3 for the first time in my life, in its full splendor. Gta 3 deserves more attention after its younger brothers will take all the attention

Finally, a GTA video recommendation that's original & fun to watch. None of this scraping the bottom of the barrel crap most GTA RUclipsrs do just so they have an excuse to make money from RUclips. "Can I complete GTA 3 whilst blindfolded & only allowed to drive taxis whilst all pedestrians try to kill me? Fun, right? I'm running out of ideas..."

It's explained in GTA LCS guide about the water is polluted with oil which is why no one can't swim.
On another note, I always thought it was weird you can't lock your doors and put your seatbelt on in grand theft auto games to this day.

In all my years of playing gta 3 i had it happen to me a few times, it was funny at first but then while i was doing a mission for ray the guy somehow flipped my infernus 😂

Before I watched the full video I Saw the title for it earlier today and wondered why anyone would make a tutorial video on how to prevent car thiefs from stealing your car when it so rarely happens and is so easily avoidable in an old game like GTA 3 but the more I watched I then realized that the video was just a joke 🤣 I don't know how you managed to make a video about a 23 year old game with VERY limited content funny but you did somehow😂

There’s one more way if you don’t want them to still your car in gta 3 if they enter on the passenger side as they get in take off and when they “stolen the car” they have to stop and let you out once you get out the of car the car thief and car will remain stopped
You can also block the driver side door by parking next to a wall.
Carjacker will get in from passenger side, then get out again because you can't get out!
He will then run away.
