As a Giants fan, this loss still hurts.
Jets here had nothing to play for but pride & Giants had a playoff spot but Jets showed some guts (a rarity) & put together a great game winning drive, great fade pattern O'Brien to Toon.
next to the playoff loss to the rams in jan 1990 this is the worst loss of the parcells era

If the Giants won, who would they have faced in the playoffs?
They would have had played the Vikings most likely. The Eagles would have played Vikings on the road in the Wild Card round and if the Eagles beat the Vikings then the Giants would have played the 49ers. If the Vikings beat the Eagles, which in real life they beat the Saints, the Giants would have played the Vikings.
@@ilikesports, i was thinking about this and i think if the Giants had won, the 49ers would have not rolled over for the Rams that night. If the 49ers win, then the Eagles play at the Vikings as the wild card matchup. I think the Vikings win, and then they go to San Fran and the Giants go to Chicago. I think both home teams win, and history remains unchanged.
