We are blessed PTBs exist for shit like this won’t immediately come into the base game.
I wouldn’t count on it. The FTP+Buckle Up made it to live and stayed for like a year, and that shit was ridiculously broken
We are unfortunately not blessed with a dev team that always pays attention to PTB feedback.
DBD RUclipsrs do basic math challenge = impossible, this literally saves 4.5 seconds on a gen AT BEST. This is assuming the perk holder never goes out of chase, never gets hit and the survivors on gens are never interrupted for 90 SECONDS. If these requirements are all done you're losing this game as killer anyway. Why are we even talking about this when Corrective action and hyper focus can cause gens to be done in around 20 seconds?
Exactly what I thought lmao. It baffles me that someone chooses to complain about this and not HF + CA. Quick gambit is a cool alternative to Troubleshooter, knowing where not to take the killer on a chase, that's it, it's fine.
I think you're missing the point of the video it's not necessary how good the perk is it's the design and how it punishes low tier killers and rewards high tier killers or how it punishes chasing which is the fun part of the game or how the perk is just free value which just means it's poorly designed which is what the video was about and not about saying it's a broken perk that needs nerfs and just to add damn near every dbd cc to my knowledge has said there peice on corrective + hyperfocus so I dunno what you on about
@@mixedspark9829 I understand he is trying to make an argument that the perk is fundamentally not well designed and that is important to consider. Having perks like old dead hard and made for this was literally just survive but better the perk. However I really don't think that applies here. If there wasn't a cooldown I'd almost agree that it does almost fall into that area but the fact it has a cooldown of a whole minute means that it's not just a given. A minute cooldown is pretty severe, one sneaky killer gets a first hit on you in a 90 second chance this perk is only going to be active for a third of that. You not only need to be good at being chased, you also need to avoid being hit easily generally which goes beyond just normal gameplay. Also the argument of lower tier killers being punished is the small picture when you need to consider the bigger picture of what killers are weak and how can we change that? Finally while a lot of RUclipsrs have discussed corrective action before it's more that why even bother talking about something which shaves off 4.5 seconds off a gen when there is a combo that shaves off more than 60 seconds?
It's stacks with other genrush perks
This and the corrective action hiperfocus combo are so bad the gens are done in 30 seconds
To be honest the Hyperfocus and Corrective Action Combo is 100% not gonna be in live build. Behaviour has done multiple stupid decisions in their lifetime, but that shit is what everyone is talking about in the ptb. This will most definitely be adjusted. The combo feels like a bug anyway.
If it doesn't, then I will never gain my hopes up for Behaviour.
30 second on the high end but even faster usually. They have alwasys put dumb stuff in ptb:s its for testing purposes so i dont mind how dumb the game is in ptb. Im pretty sure unless they want to discontinue this game they wont roll most of these ideas for 8.3.0
Keep it in the game. Killers tunnel and camp without needing a perk to do it and survivors are cosmetics without perks.
@@princeeurope002keeping this in game would make it worse for the killers who don’t tunnel and camp, plus killers wouldn’t have to tunnel and camp if gens wouldn’t be done in 30 secs or less bffr.
@@princeeurope002 Are you fucking stupid or what?
if this comes into live, guess what's gonna happen
Even more killers are gonna have to tunnel and camp cuz it's the only way to win
I still can't believe survivors not wanting to play against a B-C tier killer got them hard nerfed. Like when I started playing about 3 months ago I thought pinhead was the most OP killer out there, I was like WTF are these chains! Then I learned that you needed to do the box and now he's one of the most enjoyable killers to go against. Yes Skull has so many status effects but they are temporary and not that bad to work around, she's still just an M1 killer! Like her hinder for an example, if you have windows and pallets near by you still get away. Stuck in clown's gas? Good luck lol If this is the case, let's quit the match on every killer that has range attacks, high mobility abilities such as a dash or teleports. Let's keep DC out of games until they nerf every killer and make them pure M1 so we can loop them all day. Man I can't stand anything anti loop cause if I can't loop them, it's not fun LOL
it's not that skull merchant is hard to play against she's just boring.
My brother in Christ, they just buffed a ton of killers and now just adjust Twins and Billy, they keep buffing killers and then watch whether they have to tune them down
Let's not forget that this buff is gonna force killers to run even more slowdown which is unhealthy as well... Seriously, gens need some serious changes. They either get done in 30 seconds or take forever.
Gens is fine,perks is not
It's 5%, that's 4-5 seconds on a gen assuming the chase lasts for the entire of the gen repair, and not being hit once. Perk is fine.
@@wolframiumlavasioth Weaker killers are gonna struggle. Combine this with other gen speed perks plus bad map RNG and it's even worse, no matter how bad or good you are in a chase.
@@spooky0_0. Do you know how to deal with it? Hit the survivor once. That's it. That's all it takes for the buff to go away. I'm sorry but you can have all the bad rng in the world and be playing as a weak killer, but if you fail to hit a survivor once in 90s, I'm sorry but you're just bad, and you will lose whether Gambit is at play or not.
@@wolframiumlavasioth That's not gonna solve anything. Unless you have mobility and a great anti-loop, this is a big screw-you to M1 killers. Also, this perk stacks with others like Prove Thyself or Deja Vu that other survivors might have. A killer without those elements can't pressure an entire team all at once. Your 'you're just bad' response clearly shows you don't understand the game. So don't complain if you will see Nurses and Blights all the time.
Idk I want to see this perk go live to see how "broken" it really is. 5%, even if all survs ingame get the buff, is not that big of a deal. Especially since chases don't go that long either way. And if they do, then that usually means that the killer is not good and in that case, do you really need the extra couple of seconds you gain from it? It then feels like a win more perk.
And it's not like it's guaranteed that all three survivors are doing generators when being chased. Sure that's the case most of the time in the early game, but most of the time the gameplay loop is that 1 survivor is hooked, 1 is rescuing, 1 is being chased, and 1 is doing a generator. So the 5% there is especially a small deal.
From a design standpoint, the "gambit" is that the perk can give you nearly to no value if you just get hit instantly at the beginning of a chase (i.e. stealth killers).
I feel like the 5% is not even the best part of the perk. I like the global aura reading of all survivors during the chase, so you know where to run off to. (Bond is probably better since it's constant aura reading, even if it's a limited range, but still.)
5% is such an insignificant buff, all the perk is, is a good alternative to Troubleshooter, to know where not to take the killer while being chased. It baffles me that someone chooses this perk to complain about, and not the Hyperfocus Corrective action combo (which is not even going to make it to live.)
Ah yes, I would be rich for every "broken" survivor perk, that would destroy the game and is ending up with 10% or less pickrate
5% is nothing all it does is give everyone else yellow bar to maybe encourage others because 'yellow bar good'
Does slapping on off the record work with this perk? 🤔
Probably
We are gonna live forever is a horrible counter to Twins now i don't want that goes live
This PTB is truly wild man, while I'm glad they are finally looking over more perks especially on the survivor side, most of the changes are nonsensical and the weird blanket nerfs to multiple killers who don't even crack top five with the exception of billy is highkey absurd. next ptb they're going to squash pinhead and plague next. plague a killer who's whole gameplay relies on her macro and micro managing every single little detail who can't just freely run survivors down. cause she isn't a slowdown, mobile or chase killer.
POV: I will now be perma-slugging, since i get 0 value from the hooks
To be fair, there is no way BHVR is letting the corrective action hyperfocus combo go to live servers. My suggestion is that gambit works only if the person repairing is also healthy (or only injured idk but one of the 2)
Quit the yapping. Killers are getting lots of aura reading buffs and no one bats an eye. Not to mention insane slow down builds and gamestyles that have no fun even as a killer.
Gambit just encourages people to stay away from doing gens or hiding and actually get a profit by learning how to properly loop
I understood they were pretty much going to toss this patch mostly into the shredder. They tried some ideas and at least they didnt drop this steaming pile of shit into the main game like a lot of other games would just do. If you think this perk was bad did you see the insane corrective action build? 2 Guys could do a gen in like 20seconds pretty reliably.
I love how they view these niche perks, if they aren’t meta let’s make them broken for 0 reason because we at Behaviour don’t play our own game.
Quick gambit is practically useless in live server. Glad they are making some healthy change to it!
Please bhvr listen to the community on this patch please please please for the love of everything killer friendly please listen
For quick Gambit
The perk was fine before as the condition was highlighted generators meaning that the 36 metres could be extended by open handed, trouble shooter and even blast mine.
It's bad by itself and okay with other perks.
Bold of you to assume my team are on gens while I’m in chase
guess ill just go back to nurse
Quick gambit wasn't mid before nobody even used it before the change that's how bad it was plus a 5% speed boost will save 4.5 seconds which isn't that much
when you're in a chase for more than 50 seconds, which is literally normal gameplay, i can estimate 3 gens will be done within 30 seconds TOPS
@@meme_lover.69you have to take into account 1 if team mates will even be doing gens in this time and 2 if 1 person is on a different gen most of the time people are doubled up or even tripled up on gens if you're letting 3 gens get done in 50 seconds alone then you're just a bad killer or the survivors brought stuff besides quick gambit to gen rush
@@dustamunka5550 i do wym, i have over 40 hours of playing as the hunter, and PEOPLE other than the chased is doing gens, EVERY time. This change will literally encourage slugging so badly, i started doing it myself and i get free wins doing so.
If you're the killer you can't see what survivors are doing I'm a survivor main and play killer less but still a good amount at the start of the game most of the time the other 3 survivors are on gens but after the first hook it's a gamble on wither or not everyone is being productive and like I said before 5% is not a lot
@@dustamunka5550 5% per person
The WGLF buff was uncessecary. I totally agree with that. However that buff is not gonna be a problem whatsoever. First of, while you now get the Endurance effect off without collecting any tokens, has a cooldown attached now to the perk. Meaning that you can't do "infinite" survivor heal ups, like it was with Soul Guard. You also lose Endurance when healing another survivor, so it wouldn't be possible either way. Just hit the survivor that healed the survivor back up. Like you did before the buff.
And the change to 150% healing speed just saves 2 seconds. It's not that big of a deal. And if some might get worried that the healing speed will make it, so that you can heal someone up faster than the killers' hit cooldown. Nope that's not possible. Well it technically is, but the setup is so convoluted and absurd that you will never ever encounter it in your games. And if you do, then you will most likely win the game because the survivors wasted too much time to set it up.
Someone did the calculations on reddit and you basically need: WGLF, Desperate Measures with 4 stacks, Botany Knowledge, We'll Make it WHILE being affected by Better Than New, Circle of Healing, Dying Light and Leader. Circle of Healing requires no Medkit, so one can't be used.
That's because stacking healing speed buffs is additive, not multiplicative.
But yes Zanzhin Tactics it way too overtuned and will hopefully get nerfed. Probably will.
5% is such a little buff that a single surv running a decent tool box does 2x this perks value
Then you have the toolbox, plus this perk, plus resilience, plus deja vu, on 3 survivors all at once and suddenly 3 gens are done in 20 seconds.
@@blueboy1958 yeah but this perk would be adding the least value no doubt sounds like a tool box issue not a perk issue
@@Shekled You'd also have to consider that quick gambit gives 5% to all survivors. So it'd be an overall 15% boost to total gen progression.
quick gambit, for when prove thyself is somehow too difficult for your team.
I think it would be balanced to just have it affect the closest gen or maybe have to be in chase for a certain amount of time also if someone can pull off a blood pact play with someone else then everyone could get 10% repair boost, AND both the survivors running have haste making it take even longer to hit either of them, and when one of them does get hit it still just drops the boost by 5%
BHVR will always help trash survivors mains
BHVR seriously dont know how to balance their game , they couldve atleast buff gen regression perks to compensate but they wont
To compensate? For what? For a 5% buff which saves 4.5s on a gen, assuming the survivor does not get hit once in 90s. I'm sorry to break this to you but, if you lose as a killer against a Quick gambit, you didn't lose because of a 5%, you lost because you're bad as killer and you would have lost no matter what
99.99999% of survivor's problems is skill issue, they even got trash killers nerfed cuz they suck so much.
The rest are actual problematic killers like Nurse.
maybe it is unhealthy but why you talk only about this when there are also not healthy perks changes on the killer side, but you probably play killer so crying only about survivor perks
"Theres no risk, just a murderer chasing you with a weapon that is bloodthirsty for ya"
That’s going to tunnel and camp you out of the match with 0 perks needed to do so
people dont even think this game as a horror game anymore, its just a chasing game.
and when you're punished for chasing what else can you do?
@@isntduality its part of the game
the perk sucks not even gonna watch the video 5% the whole time you repair is like 4.4 seconds bruh
15%, it's 5% per person...
2:18, yeah, about that, why survivors have info about killer perks(dissolution, hex perks, trail of torment leave a yellow gen, for example) but killer cant have that kinda info? Find your first chase and see a little red icon? you have a choice: take that chase or gtfo to other gens.
I love how every killer power and killer perk just give survivors a free way to disable it.
Singularity EMP deletes so much progress and just with one press of a button.
