I ll give you my opinion. Your sprites, music choice, animation and character design is top tier. You definitely must try the videogame thing. However, the lvl design was pretty terrible. Its an intro level, here the game should guide the player, this seemed more like a final level. Furthermore, there were almost no changes in the direction of the level or the terrain. What i mean is, you always walk left to right withouth going upwards nor downwards. Last thing i would change is the cliche story similar to mmz, and of course build up tension more slowly. Look, it would seem I'm just being a little negative or just a plain jerk but I'm telling tou this because i really see some talent there. With patience and cunningness you might create a great megaman fangame. I really hope this helps you .
It's okay if you enjoy challenges, for those kind of people the game should posses a hard mode or some kind of time trial, but as default it really ought to be playable to casuals and non hardcore players. Megaman however , even though we love him , has some extreme problems with level design and unfairness, especially during the x saga.
Honestly I think this works fine for an intro level. It's far more easier compared to the franchises intro levels I can tell you that much! Intro levels are meant to get you familiar with the mechanics in a 'safe' environment. Most of the enemies here are stationary, slow, have repetitive behavior, are usually deployed in small groups in one direction, and the terrain is somtimes dofferent in elevation to allow you to easily avoid projectiles, so the threat level is low enough to where you can comfortably play with the controls without being too worried about taking too many hits. The 'moving in one direction' layout is also forgivable sense this is simply an intro level. It doesn't need to be complex, just test the basic controls. Though I guess it could've used more variety, just to get the player to be more familiar with climbing and wall jumping (if that's going to be included). Future levels should however be less of just a straight path.

Megaman games are about finesse and skill.I don't think the games are to blame.Even then the only unfair games are X6,X8 to some extent ,Zero 1,Megaman 9 etc You can't be in earnest here.The X games give you heart tanks that increase your life bar 8 times ,2sub tanks,and the later x games give you two characters you can swap (x7,x8) You should try honing your reflexes and hand eye coordination before complaining. Start with the zero games .Those games assess you in every area from speed,enemies killed,items found ,lives lost.That will help you monitor your skill and evaluate yourself What's more once you master the zero games the X games will feel like child's play to you.But I admit that classic games are brutal and sometimes extraordinarily formidable Difficulty is one of the series staple and it's not going to go away.That's like giving contra lifebar, too many checkpoints something tha wouldn't befit a series which is renowned for its extreme challenge and brutal difficulty
The animation is so smooth and well drawn out. The sprites and effects are beautiful. So much love and care went into this. You can definitely bring Xover back on your own if you wanted to. Amazing job man I always love seeing the amazing stuff you come up with.

The slightly zoomed out view and new walk cycle animation really make a difference. If i showed a friend that boss fight they'd think it was a full length game made by an indie dev, really neat!
That was really well made. Made me fell like I was actually watching gameplay from an actual game. What really sold it for me is that this Rockman had gimmicks, but they were simple ones that didn't take away from the overall enjoyment of the game.
God I hope they do, cause this dude has so much potential just as much as I have, and we're just alike! We just love Mega man and we love creating new mega man ideas and creating Mega Man games! I think it's fair that he should be Capcoms ultimate assistant! I'm hoping to become one of the planners for Capcom along with concept artist! Us 2 guys would REALLY get the Mega Man series back up and running for sure!

So, the big thing I noticed that needs praise, is your sprite work on the miniboss and boss. At least, I assume its all sprite work. Yet, the miniboss and boss seem to be animated in a way that makes it look 3D despite not actually being so. And the degree of quality behind such an effect is.. insane. In a good sense. So, while it'd likely be a long road either way, whether you go fangame or original.. I do believe you could pull it off either way.
Looks better than an actual megaman game! Also thank you for using the MMX 4-6/MMZ art style because to be honest it’s the only one that I thought worked in a X game. (X1 is still my 4th favorite game)

Oi vey, Rockman X-Over. The game where everything about it was great except for, well, the actual game. I'm not gonna lie, you've got something tremendous here. If it were ever possible to put together a team, this would be a way worthier project than any of the "Mega Man: Subtitle" fan games going around out there. My only recommendation would be to keep with the original premise a bit more. Kalinka's great; no need to replace her for this "Circuit" OC as a navigator. Other than that, the time rift effect in particular is a seriously neat touch, especially the way you have it introduce the boss; definitely more dynamic than "this guy's just here now".
Good job. Circuit reminds me of Mega Mini, so nice to see a bit of a reference to Fully Charged. Maybe Fully Charged Megaman could be an additional character?

I'm very impressed by this art style, fluent physics, and serves as a suitable spinoff to Megaman. That ending boss ahh it's good. Hoping ultimatemaverick is one of lead developers/supporters of upcoming Rockman X Dive Mobile Game.
Looks great so far. I'm not sure if there's something you could improve on, but some of the dialogue could use a touch up. Like having Circuit say Over-1 was recently "repaired", and that the others were "destroyed". You know, more accurately describing robot characters.

I'm very impressed by this art style, fluent physics, and serves as a suitable spinoff to Megaman. That ending boss ahh it's good. Hoping ultimatemaverick is one of lead developers/supporters of upcoming Rockman X Dive Mobile Game.

Think of it, JKB is doing it for 10 years now. I'm at least 6 months into my project (sporadically but still).
Looks great so far. I'm not sure if there's something you could improve on, but some of the dialogue could use a touch up. Like having Circuit say Over-1 was recently "repaired", and that the others were "destroyed". You know, more accurately describing robot characters.
This is pretty good and play exactly how a good megaman game should. Definitely take a shot at development of your own game.
