An absolutely stunning build. I remember when i was a lad there used to be one hanging from the ceiling in the science museum in london. I was fascinated with it and the technology
Great build, Peter! Fantastic attn to detail, esp. the cockpit--truly appears as if you shrunk the real deal to 1/32! Regarding MK108 Minen shells (and the Komet had the HE loadout): projectile was painted gloss lemon yellow with rather large (~1") black "M" stenciled thereon, & aluminium (bare metal) tip (detonator). Shell casing was--at least in the example in my possession (1944)--gloss dark brownish-green (?greenish-brown) lacquered steel.
Excellent build, it is my first look at the cockpit interior of this little beast. They were really not very complex aircraft for such advanced technology. Your work on the seat-belts was magnificent, just like the Eroica from Beethoven.
Eroica? NO! NO! NO! The finest piece of music ever written, it was his ninth symphony, the Choral! After hearing the first couple of seconds I would have watched the whole thing even if it was just watching paint dry! Beautiful model by the way!
Fantastic detail, its been a long time since I have been in modeling, now retired I am anxious to get back into building again. I have a lot of catching up to do because kits and accessories and paints, Glue have all changed. Your skills are certainly driving me forward. 1/32 is a scale new to me. For this kit its almost life size :-) As I have referenced before your cockpits are incredible . Are kit makers putting the Swastika decals in now? Fortunately I have several kits saved back to practice on . I have purchased the Eduards Camel limited edition. Very detailed for 1/48 scale, interesting kit which I am saving once I feel up to speed.. I am slowly working my way through your videos as tutorials.
That's very kind of you! ☺️ I must admit I get cross with manufacturers NOT including swastikas in some form that the modeller can replicate. Airfix and Revell are especially guilty! I bought some aftermarket decals in multiple scales to solve the problem. The 1/48 tamiya MeBf109 G-6 and P-47 Thunderbolt are fantastic kits if you are getting back to building, but try the Thunderbolt first to play yourself in. 🙂
Sadly not John, they sent me 7 (Yes, - SEVEN!) B sprues in succession, but each one had the same defect in varying degrees! Then they just started ignoring my emails. They were obsessed by the broken parts, instead of the warped parts which were more serious. Very poor customer service by them and makes me very reluctant to buy any more products from Meng.
@@Peter-Oxley-Modelling-Lab That's a real shame Peter especially when you consider what there now charging for kits! I bet you are tempted to use another word beginning with F to describe them!!

Lovely result, Peter. Inside and out!
Looks a fantastic kit. Far superior to the Hasegawa kit. Lovely paint up Peter. Very nice.
Peter, what a great build. From the cockpit, to the rocket motor, to the beautiful camo scheme, this was a wonderful post. Keep up the fantastic work!
Thankyou Ralph! ☺️

A fabulous model and a great build. Did you manage to get Meng to rectify the wing of your Fokker?

@@johnf3885 Yes indeed John, and oddly, it does sound a lot like 'Fokker'! 😆
What music tracks did you use?
Beethovens 9th Symphony Finale. 👍🏻
