It's truly amazing that Rockstar made a Wild West online setting . . . But you can't rob trains and banks in the iconic Wild West fashion. Took them ages to connect the dots and make Heist missions for GTA online. But they looked at RDR2 and said "classic Wild West bank heists as a staple in primary online missions, or even walk into the bank in free roam? Nah..." 🤨
love your videos my friend, I have been an avid gamer since 1980, Im 62 now and retired and I play RDR online almost daily for the last year and a half. Im level 130 and have just about finished all the roles. I do like the Evans repeater though against NPCs, I carry it with the Lancaster together and quick swap between them when clearing out large groups of enimes, this way you never have to reload and I carry 2 sawed off shotguns just for giggles. Its so sad that R* just let the greatest game ever made just die, its all I want to play. I have 7 playthroughs on story mode also. I learn a lot from your videos keep them coming 👍
I recently fully upgraded every ability card, it cost around $10k. The worst part was not losing the money, it was having to play for so many hours with trash ability cards while levelling them up. I'm still glad I did it though, I suppose there is a remote possibility that in the future some currently useless cards will become relevant, or their effects will be buffed. While doing it, it made me think that it's a shame no new ability cards were added since release. If you look at how much space there is for additional cards on the in-game list, it's clear that the original intention was that more (probably a LOT more) were planned to be added to the game.
Im almost there lol i hav only 2 purple and one green card left i am completely understanding the playing so long with useless cards just to upgrade ive been thinking this exactly for awhile now😂
Lichfield: Yes, you need to land headshots with repeaters, however, thats difficult without paint it black. So if youre not running paint it black, Lichfield is pretty nice.
I just got the PC version of Red Dead and it's been a LOT more relaxing as I'm not power-grinding to buy certain things. I only have the varmint rifle (which itself looks nice and can be useful against NPCs), a shotgun, and a rolling block rifle, and my sidearm consists of Lowry's navy Revolver and a sawed-off shotgun. I only have one horse, and I only buy whatever roles are on sale that month (I only have the naturalist role so I can hunt legendary animals and craft blending tonics). Aside from that, the only things I spend gold on are cosmetic changes to weapons and clothing to make them look more "realistic" to my character (darker and more worn metals for the guns, furs and rough leathers for clothing, etc). It's nice... Okay, I did buy the Litchfield and the elephant gun on sale because they look cool with hm character, but still!!!
That's honestly the best way to play, just don't even concern yourself with the premium stuff, or the grind or collecting all the things. I'm lvl 50 and still don't have a fishing rod cuz I'm waiting till I start focusing on trader role stuff which I just now got into. There's no finish line, best to just play at your own pace.
Refined binoculars are useful if you come across a legendary animal, and want to figure out what kind of animal it is from the distance, so you can then figure out if you need to skin it or sample it or what strategy to use.
I still use Collectors Maps. I use one or two every other day. Just to casually and passively collect without the hassle of loading up a website and setting markers. Every other day too, I sell excess items to Madam Nazar and buy replacement maps. I usually use the whichever map fits the daily role challenges. Maps are great if you hate collecting and want to pay as little attention as possible to it.
although I don't regret buying the horse lantern, I do regret buying it on a saddles I bought before purchasing the Nach saddle. If I had known you have to buy it for each saddle seperately, I would've waited until I bought the Nach at lvl 35

I always reload despite the game having that mechanic. It keeps it consistent across all games & has a level of immersion. And most of the time I only use one weapon at a time anyway to keep track of my weapon kill count easier.
The Elephant Rifle is fairly useful against revenue agents, and when dealing with enemies mounted on fast moving horses - especially when they are doubled up. I think the worst thing anyone can buy is the fire pit for the campsite with those benches. It takes up way too much space, is expensive, and just gets in the way. I bought it once and regretted it every single day. I really wish there was a way to get rid of it when you don’t want it anymore, but unfortunately, there isn’t. On my second account, I didn’t make the same mistake, and I’m so glad I don’t have it in my campsite now.
@@E3742O I don’t even like it, to be honest - those old benches and chairs don’t fit in with nature at all. If they were tree trunks on the ground for sitting, that’d be fine, it’d look nice, but the way it is now, not really. And whenever there were more of us, everyone kept tripping over it, and you couldn’t even walk through because it’s always right in the middle of the campsite where people need to pass.
Yeah all the extra things in the way is definitely not worth the faster cooking time, which is especially pointless when you already have everything possible cooked in your inventory throughout time & that most of the time the daily challenge that requires to cook/craft stuff is with the wilderness campfire instead. And also I like burning bodies & other stuff in campfires anyway & that useless rotisserie thing directly gets in the way.
Agreed, I also regret buying a dog, he constantly barks and just gets in the way. Also, i regret buying the fast travel at my camp, you can get the wilderness camp at level 5 on the naturalist role which has fast travel. You can walk right outside of your main camp and set up wilderness camp for fast travel, this makes fast travel at your main camp worthless.
@@partlycloudy9443 Yes. But the wilderness camp wasn't commonly available before; it's only been accessible to everyone recently. I don’t mind the dog, I don’t think it barks too much. What bothers me more is that there are so few dog breeds to choose from, and some that were temporary are probably gone forever-just like that beautiful Santa coat or the gothic theme for the Moonshine Shack, which I bought with my first account but now, with my second account, I’m still waiting in vain for the chance to get them again.
I bought a hard copy of RDR2 about a yr after it came out for the PS4. I played the entire storyline and was 95% close to total completion. I didn't like the gambling challenges at all. 😕 Traded the game in for other games and forgot about it until i finally got high-speed internet in my area. I downloaded the game again and reached level 102 in RD online. Then the 9th gen console fiasco happend. I abandoned consoles and my RDO character and upgraded to a gaming PC. That was already 3+yrs ago. I just downloaded the game again and am at lvl 30 right now. This will always remain one of the best video games ever created in my opinion.
After buying everything and having plenty of money left over, I bought most of the useless items. Also, in 2020 I bought gold bars to buy the moonshine role and in just one day I got the same amount just by playing
Only thing honor is good for in online is to get the high and low honor achievements...I use the Litchfield all the time and have no issues with making head shots or even getting kills with chest shots at closer ranges
Speaking of bugs, is anyone else running into a problem with hunting, where the animal carcass disappears from your horse or when you are picking it up? Also ran into a new bug today where I skinned an animal but I didn't get the skin and it still appeared on the animal. Tried to skin it again but the game wouldn't allow it.
Yes, twice here lately I killed a legendary boar and while carrying the pelt to my horse it just disappeared, the boar carcass was still there but the pelt just disappeared. very frustrating.
And just now encountered yet another bug. Tried to sell a legendary carcass to the butcher but it doesn't appear in regular inventory even though I'm standing in front of the butcher table with the thing slung over my shoulder. It does appear in my horse inventory, but it is grayed-out.
Cat, I've been watching you since I started playing RDO back in 2022. Maybe you should make videos on other games, too; RDO may not get monthly updates in the near future.
I have been playing RDO 2 for 4 years. I own two black Arabian horses. They are my absolute favorite horses. I don't use any other breed of horse and I'm absolutely satisfied with the handling. I would buy this breed again and again.
The double action revolver isn’t as bad as people make out. It’s certainly not the best revolver . However in very close distances, it’s pretty effective. People use it like how they would use other revolvers. it should actually be used more like a pistol. The only reason why it’s the worst is because it acts like a pistol but it’s only got 6 shots(12 duel wield) . The other pistols have a higher magazine capacity so they’re infinitely better I still use it occasionally in PVE because i think it looks cool. However in PVP I always use the Schofield
I'm not even into red dead enough anymore to watch the whole video but the black Arabian horse is #1. It costs so much gold, so many hours of farming, it is not worth it. I like the outlaw vibe it brings, but man I spent so much time to get that horse.
Lichfield is indeed one of the worst guns in the game. However I do recommed upgrading it and getting a scope, because it can be very useful in featured/hardcore series. For some reason, Lichfield is the only repeater that has this small advantage.
RDO has been done such an injustice of negligence by Rockstar. SO much potential just forgotten because it's the adopted child and Rockstar is obsessed with its favorite child that feeds them money; GTA Online.
When I first started RDO, I finished the story first and knew you could sell gold bars for $500, and I thought you could sell your gold bars for money and went to the fence, I thought gold was useless and just for selling😂
I agree with 19 items from this list. 1 that I would swap is Refined Binoculars - I used them a lot in missions and free roam, for useless, ugly, stupid, non immersive and expensive clothing that makes your character look like a Broadway play pimp 😂
I can't believe they're not putting more into this. GtA has so run its course. They need bare knuckle boxing. There's one brilliant idea. I,ve actually spent real money because it just seemed like no way I was getting anywhere. I don't regret it and I got my moonshine shack up high as. I regret everything you said especially the hunting wagon. I hope they listen to what's going on in the channels like yours and puts some work into it. I know the new GTA is going to be overall a letdown compared to 5 as it was a brilliant concept. Same as rdr2. I literally have all those cards😂😂😂, ohhhh if there's a hard way to do it I,m gonna find it. Well at least the snow is gone. Right after I just put together all my winter out fits. I just spent a whole bunch on gun skins because everything I buy turns out to be bollocks. Ohhhh. Another nice video mate.
I would say your wrong bout buying blending tonic pamphlet. You need to craft them for daily challenges and they are easy to craft . And it saves time meaning to don't have to worry bout going to Harriet and getting sprayed
on the maker of horses... if you thing your horse is the best, and you go on horse race, it doesnt matter, cuz there's a thing called Rubber Banding, where the 1st player is slower and the last player is faster to make the races " fair and balanced " Elephant Rifle is for legendary animals, it takes 5 shots to kill a boar and 3 shots to kill deer... not to mention you'll 1 shot any animal that isnt legendary Whoriet... i mean Harriet... Harriet.... only pamphlet usefull is the bendind tonic, cuz of daily challenges, and even still if you already have all roles you minght not need it
I have been watching you for a long time now and as long as I have seen your Calvary outfit I've wanted to make my own but I really wanna know what hat that is
This is one reason why I run around on my tovero MFT but only a tiny bit. Mostly, I love how it looks. Usually I run my black Turkomam or black chestnut TB.
Standalone was a bad idea for me. I ended up buying the "Ultimate Edition" on sale of course but still. Then to make matters worse, I started to get more interested in the whole story and was thinking of playing the RDR 1 but didn't really want to buy a PS3 game....well we know what happened and I picked up a nice gaming PC so I just bought it again with RDR1 and am enjoying the game on both lol. I am at the same point in the story but my online character is much more advanced on psn. One thing I noticed is on PC in online the animals sometime breath fire lol stupid hackers
10:30 Cat.. I completely disagree with you. these binoculars are very useful in the "Condor Egg" event. You can see the yellow flare from the other side of the map where eagle eye doesn't work. And it is helpful in searching for treasure chests.
The bandolier in story mode has use other than cosmetics and still I never use them purely due to cosmetics I think they look weird Maybe in a new Austin setting. But other than that I usually don’t wear them I think they look too bulky and what not.
PVP CAT I really enjoy your videos. I look forward to you posting them. Going on 2 yrs I have been jealous of your Washwood Fur Coat and a few other clothing items no longer available. I thought for sure after Novembers big update and limited stock/outlaw pass clothing rereleases we would start to receive more. I even thought maybe for Christmas Rockstar would bring it back. Nope, none such luck. I still have hope though. Thanks again for your content.
Hey Cat I can only trust you in this, I always keep my honor as low as possible because I heard that this way, you can skip the hunting resupply missions from Cripps, do you believe this is true?
Started playing this game like 2 months ago and i can just say wow i really think this is the best game ever no lies .... i was a huge COD gamer but now i barely play COD just bacause i found out this game existed, im 35 just started playing games back again 😅
Hold on, bravery is 100% a thing compare any norfolk roadster vs any breton in gunfights, animal attacks, pvp in every situation you WILL be bucked off if you dont use slow and steady BUT a breton will not buck immediately i sometimes use slow and steady with breton makes cougar/wolf attacks easier
I am sry, but double action with gunslingers turns the guns into snipers. I prefer them to pistols because of the western theme, i cant bring myself to use pistols. I play on mouse and keyboard and i can pixelsnipe with them across the map. The game is primarily pve so the dmg does not matter, if a player attacks i have sniper and shotgun on my back which will take care of them.
@PVPCat That's right, I get along well with the Lancaster and the Evans on the Xbox in the CTA. There are so many different weapons, everyone will find the right one😊

Agreed,
I also regret buying a dog, he constantly barks and just gets in the way.
Traded the game in for other games and forgot about it until i finally got high-speed internet in my area.
I’m a bit late but happy new year cat
Happy new year 🎉
Rare shotgun is good in pvp but I hate pvp
If you play long enough, there are no bad purchases.
Facts bro
Ok I bought some gold but in fairness it was to buy a bounty hunter license to make money
Refined binoculars are great for finding bounty targets in the crowd.
Only thing honor is good for in online is to get the high and low honor achievements...I use the Litchfield all the time and have no issues with making head shots or even getting kills with chest shots at closer ranges
Funny how you made this about 2-3 years after rockstar haven’t added anything new on Red dead online…
Yes,
twice here lately I killed a legendary boar and while carrying the pelt to my horse it just disappeared, the boar carcass was still there but the pelt just disappeared.
very frustrating.
Yes this has happened to me many times but I think only ever when playing in a solo lobby, idk if this has some effect.
And just now encountered yet another bug. Tried to sell a legendary carcass to the butcher but it doesn't appear in regular inventory even though I'm standing in front of the butcher table with the thing slung over my shoulder. It does appear in my horse inventory, but it is grayed-out.
Yeah, I just stopped wearing bandoliers. I stopped using off-hand holsters too. Coats look much cooler without it.
Cat, I've been watching you since I started playing RDO back in 2022. Maybe you should make videos on other games, too; RDO may not get monthly updates in the near future.
Yeah, it's possible
The Arabian horse looks so tiny, like a child's pony, compared to something like the Shire, it looks comical to me.
The other pistols have a higher magazine capacity so they’re infinitely better
I still use it occasionally in PVE because i think it looks cool. However in PVP I always use the Schofield
I'm not even into red dead enough anymore to watch the whole video but the black Arabian horse is #1. It costs so much gold, so many hours of farming, it is not worth it. I like the outlaw vibe it brings, but man I spent so much time to get that horse.
To be honest, I already knew all that. I use the Evans for a sake of ammo capacity. Don't use capitali at all,
Lichfield is indeed one of the worst guns in the game. However I do recommed upgrading it and getting a scope, because it can be very useful in featured/hardcore series. For some reason, Lichfield is the only repeater that has this small advantage.
I won't regret buying anything as I love this game so much and I know the content it will receive in the future will be slim to none.
RDO has been done such an injustice of negligence by Rockstar.
SO much potential just forgotten because it's the adopted child and Rockstar is obsessed with its favorite child that feeds them money;
GTA Online.
Great vid! Can you tell me where did you get the military looking outfit?
From Outlaw Pass 1
Completely true but I like to use the Evans some times in call to arms to challenge myself
The camp fire bit can cook meat faster and you can also cook 3x meat at once!👍🏼
No, to cook 3 at once players need to buy pamphlet at fence
Ha! I bought the Black Arabian when it was discounted to 25 gold bars, I also just like having all the Arabian horses so I had too lol
The only reason I use double action revolver is, because I like how it looks.
How is this list any different than 2020 or any year since? The game is dead. It hasn't changed...
It’s for the noobs who don’t see the previous vids every year that get re generated
When I first started RDO, I finished the story first and knew you could sell gold bars for $500, and I thought you could sell your gold bars for money and went to the fence, I thought gold was useless and just for selling😂
I love all the cosmetics ive spent my hard earned rdo cash on. I dont regret a single one
I agree with 19 items from this list. 1 that I would swap is Refined Binoculars - I used them a lot in missions and free roam, for useless, ugly, stupid, non immersive and expensive clothing that makes your character look like a Broadway play pimp 😂
Kot, how dare you do my Litchfield dirty like that lol. I have fun with it due to the sound of it.
Thanks for the video, Cat
Oh dear
We still need to have faith
Rockstar fail to see how good this game could be but all they care for is garb theft auto
I still have 75 - 100 Capitale in my post box because R* gave away so much from that when the update came out 😂
I would say your wrong bout buying blending tonic pamphlet. You need to craft them for daily challenges and they are easy to craft . And it saves time meaning to don't have to worry bout going to Harriet and getting sprayed
on the maker of horses... if you thing your horse is the best, and you go on horse race, it doesnt matter, cuz there's a thing called Rubber Banding, where the 1st player is slower and the last player is faster to make the races " fair and balanced "
Elephant Rifle is for legendary animals, it takes 5 shots to kill a boar and 3 shots to kill deer... not to mention you'll 1 shot any animal that isnt legendary
Whoriet... i mean Harriet... Harriet.... only pamphlet usefull is the bendind tonic, cuz of daily challenges, and even still if you already have all roles you minght not need it
0:09 what hat is that it looks so cool
It's from old Outlaw Pass
I have to disagree about the refined binoculars. I love to use them for hunting. Sure they slow me down but that’s kind of why I like them.
For collector's maps i dont agree because there is a daily challenge to open 3 collectors maps.
Yeah, most players use them for for that reason
2:08 bandoliers do increase the ammo capacity in offline
Yes, but not in online for some reason
@ the reason is obvious, it makes too much sense😂
I have been watching you for a long time now and as long as I have seen your Calvary outfit I've wanted to make my own but I really wanna know what hat that is
It's from Outlaw Pass 1
Oh ok thanks
I bought the Black Arabian purely as a show of wealth since I had enough for it
This is one reason why I run around on my tovero MFT but only a tiny bit. Mostly, I love how it looks. Usually I run my black Turkomam or black chestnut TB.
Only thing that ousses me off I tried buying 25 gold bars and it took my money and didn’t give it to me
Standalone was a bad idea for me.
Don't care what to buy, anyway in long perspective we not have much choice where to spend money. So just enjoy the game and buy everything you want...
Oh dear…..the barrel is indeed very empty
10:30 Cat.. I completely disagree with you. these binoculars are very useful in the "Condor Egg" event. You can see the yellow flare from the other side of the map where eagle eye doesn't work. And it is helpful in searching for treasure chests.
The proof is in my channel "condor egg #177 - roanoke ridge"
Hey pvp cat! do you think rockstar will possibly bring back the outlaw passes?
The senses and abilities are the worse part of the game.
I bought the horse lantern just because it looks cool. I play on a private server with my friends and little brother anyway.
5 types of players who use these ammo types when?
Cat still beating this dead horse in 25 it's just sad
The bandolier in story mode has use other than cosmetics and still I never use them purely due to cosmetics
I think they look weird
Maybe in a new Austin setting.
But other than that I usually don’t wear them I think they look too bulky and what not.
Evans repeater has 26 shots. Nuff said. It's not a waste of money by any means.
please make a pvp and settings guide for controller players 🙏
I just use the best horse in the game nag, and I'm lv 230. The worst thing I wasted money on was the elephant rifle 😂
I bought the Black Arabian just because I like the look of it, I own all the Arabian horses. 😊
the rare shotgun is a separate weapon beacause in story mod it's a separate weapon just like lorry's revolver in onlyne
Nope
@PVPCat oh dang, time to be a good citizen again
Hey where did u get the hat ur wearing on the thodoro bounty hunter outfit
How dare RUclips hide this for a minute 😡
Fr
Hey cat are u going live later today?
Yes
The pocketwatch nr 21 😊
5:08 is the mirror imagine of my oline character like the same fit and everything
Yeah so what else im going to spend all my money on? Its not like there is new content every week so i cant be selective with my purchases
I love the arabian horse! (the money one)
I love the Evans for CTA🙈
I used Evans on PC for CTA, but with controller 5 steps of lock-on range is a huge diff
@PVPCat That's right, I get along well with the Lancaster and the Evans on the Xbox in the CTA. There are so many different weapons, everyone will find the right one😊
