"Working" my way through your videos from the start...learning lots! Today it was "Trig Point" and googling what they are! Great run by you two...and a great cause!!
Thank you ☺️ Oh my goodness it's incredibly beautiful! There's an awesome approx 5 mile loop walk that takes in Janet's Foss (waterfall) Goredale Scar (epic waterfall) and Malham Cove. Lots of people think it's the best walk in Yorkshire so definitely one to add to the list if you're ever in the area 😍 the race route took in a little of that walk and Malham Cove is incredible however you look at it! 😃
Thanks Nicky. Honestly ultras are brilliant! So friendly and they're definitely easier than a road marathon in so many ways. Trail running is the future! Xx
Great video, thanks for sharing. Just discovered punk panther this morning and never run an ultra yet. Really inspiring watching this. I may just be tempted to give an ultra a go next year 😁
Hi Nigel, pleased you enjoyed the video. Punk Panther events are amazing! Definitely give one a go, they're a great day out and ultras are so friendly and such an achievement 🥰 #doit 😉
Just catching up on all your old videos! This was great as you ran passed my village (Carleton-in-Craven) and I walk a lot in the fields around Cononley and along the canal at Skipton and, now I've started running, I also run along the towpath - I'm not up to a marathon or ultra marathon just yet though!
Yay thank you! Eleanor was so worried, I wasn't tracking mileage so would have just kept running but she was convinced we'd missed it! And then a few others were too! Eek! All's well that ends well though Xx
Well Done Njc Njc & Eleanor. Really enjoyed watching this, Great Video, we ran my First ultra on Sunday, only 50km. I had decided I am not going to run another and then I watched your video. Dammit. I am now looking for another run. Well done again, you smashed it!
Lol, sorry not sorry! 😜 Pleased you enjoyed the video. I'm searching for my next ultra too. Let me know what you go for! I'm looking at A Bridge Too Far or the Pennine Barrier 🤔
Thanks 🥰 Oh no, it's rubbish tripping isn't it 😩 Yes luckily the weather was perfect... Imagine us tripping over in the rain! Things could always be worse 🤷🏻♀️
Well done you two, great scenery, great effort and just great vibes- it is almost enough to make we want to do one. almost but not quite. great vid though x
Thank you! Yes the scenery was just stunning 😍 Anyone running marathons should try a trail ultra... They're actually easier than a road marathon because they're broken up by checkpoints and gates etc and it's way more fun 😊
Just so lovely to watch. Massive feminine claps 👏 to you both!! Sterling effort and fantastic commentary #itisreallyhot 😂😂 Love you Nic and well done to Eleanor 😘😘
Thank you! They really are great races. If you're in this area of the country (or prepared to travel to see such gorgeous landscapes!) then I'd highly recommend them 😃
@@AimeeandApollo Thanks 😃 Ooh that's not too far away at all! Get one entered for the future... They do the Nidderdale Way and that whole area is incredibly stunning! 😍
Doing a catch-up of your previous vlogs Nicola. I've watched many vlogs of runners doing ultras and never fancied doing any of them but this one I would deffo do. Goes on my "to do list". Looks really lovely 🤩🤩
Oh yay! That's awesome!!! It's a great ultra, flat (ish) and you run away from the city out into the countryside and out further to one of the most spectacular places there is! I'm pleased it appeals to you, my job here is done because it was ACE! 😃
This run reminds me of the Beachy Head marathon which I have run twice before and running again in October. I can recommend it to you Nicola, it's not easy but views are a-ma-zing. Totally worth the climbs. They have an ultra also this year for the first time.
@@Tonyr2 ooh that sounds ace! My running goals are up in the air a bit as I fancy trying a hundred miler at some point. I've 2 potential races in April and October but I need to see how things go before then as I've just entered 5 marathons in 5 days and that's in about 4 weeks! 🤦♀️😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱🤣
5 in 5 days!!! Chuffin' hell 🤪🤪🤪. Good luck with those marathons, look forward to your vlogs from those runs. They should be very interesting. Oh looked up the River Aire ultra for this year and it clashes with a motorcycle ride-out to Leicestershire I am organising. (Easter Saturday) ah well 2023 possibly if our planned trip to Phaphos for the marathon in March 2023 doesn't pan out.
You were both amazing, you are the most welcoming runners ever! Thanks for sharing, except for the fall, it was fantastic to watch. The views towards the finish were fantastic. Well done. By the way, did you say if it was hot... ? 😀 ha ha!
Yeah I maybe forgot to mention but it was a pretty hot day... ha ha! Thanks for the lovely comment. The views were definitely worth running the miles for! Xx
Do it, do it, do it! You won't regret it, it's beautiful and just keeps getting more and more beautiful until the end! Totally worth running 48 miles for Xx
🤣🤣🤣 no I definitely have previous. Still... Once you know that you can run a marathon with a ruined knee then that gives you confidence to go forward with in future challenges 😃
Oh no, I meant to mention the weather because it was honestly just a really hot day... lol! And it was 48.5 miles!!! I might go back just to put the 0.5 in but then it makes me feel bad for not rounding up to 50... ha ha. Thanks Penny Xx
That was amazing, well done to you both on completing this - and your friend ran Endure24 solo? I did it this year as part of a team fo 4, and I thought that was mental enough haha
Thanks! Yup we both went on to do more crazy runs! This was the beginning of the end 😂 She did so well at E24 running 90 miles! 💪👏👏👏 Now I think we're both addicted to ultras 🤷🏻♀️😂 Well done on E24 as a team... Pairs or solo next year?! 🤔😜
@@NicolaRuns 90 miles? she smashed it! I'd be tempted to try in a pair, not sure about solo yet haha. I'm signed up for an ultra before then though, so I'll see if I love running that distance, or if I hate it haha
Eleanor and I did pairs a few years ago. We absolutely loved it and our record still stands several years on so we're more than a bit pleased about that! 😁 Pairs and solo are both fun! Good luck in the ultra 💪
Excellent running from both of you and 2 great videos

Well done, your smiles are what it’s all about. 😊
Thanks. If I'm out on an adventure then I'm smiling! Need to plan the next one now! Xx
Finally got to watch the two parts. What a great run from you both and such a great video record you have made of it.
Thank you ❤️ When we're super old and can no longer run it'll be a great adventure to look back on that's for sure 🏃♀️🏃♀️
Wow that's amazing - well done! Was so beautiful there, makes me want to run one - knackered just watching though!!

Love your video. I tripped on a root around mile 22 and was it was raining in my heart for the rest of the race 😓 Glorious day though!
