The Joe Rose Episodes are by far my favorite Locked On Dolphins Episodes that exist. Hands down, Joe brings out the best out of Kyle
Joe tells it like it is. Met him a few times and had a few beers back in the day. He loves the Dolphins and wants to see us win more than anyone. We have to win the division if we're going to be considered true contenders.

I am abit confused, especially when mentioning early in the segment needing another quality starter at safety and pass rushers. Along with mentioning the big hole at DT while already signing many DTs but not to the caliber of Christian Wilkins. Is that through the draft or FA? I totally agree that we don't know the readiness of Chubb and Phillips, and the need of a third safety. However, does that really constitute the need of spending another early round draft pick to fill those holes? Especially, since only the Dolphins know about the state of health of players and the reasoning why they signed all those extra DTs when they don't have the upside of CW. I remember Chris Grier last year saying that he doesn't have the same concern as us about the state of last year's O-Linemen. I can see Grier saying the same thing on the DTs this year.
Consider also with all the signings we got at other positions, whether we view them as sufficient or not, we only signed Jack Driscoll as Guard / Tackle to play as backup or start in a pinch, Chasen Hines as backup Guard, and Aaron Brewer starting as Center. We did sign Ingram (again) and Quinton Bell as (maybe) pass rushers. Wouldn't it more prudent to select an OT of the future to play as starting Guard, then move him over to starting LT when TA retires. Or select a Guard with position flexibility to play LT in a pinch. Then we can select another Guard to start at RG in the second round. This way we can actually upgrade our weakest position group that we had to scheme for in getting the ball out under 4 seconds and couldn't run the ball when we needed to. Not significantly upgrading O-Linemen would mean we haven't made improvements to the position group that held us back.
I believe whoever we select in the first round would be a tremendous upgrade than what we have on the roster other than pass rushers since we already spent a first round pick in previous years to trade for. DT would be awesome but Grier already signed all those players that we hopefully have the sum of the many outweighing the sum of the few. I don't know what Grier has plans for doing that.
If we traded out of first round, we wouldn't get an impact player that may be our future star or fundamental building block for the future like a Christian Wilkins or Jaylen Waddle. At most, we would only get another Cam Smith with question marks.

McDaniel said the same thing about Boyer. Mcdaniel believes the def. Coordinator is the head coach of the defense. He doesn't get involved with the defense. That's the true problem with Mcdaniel as a head coach and game manager. He's an offensive coordinator, working as a head coach. I hope it changes, but we will see this year.
No longer has a big head. He is, without a doubt, Mr. Dolphin!
Miami's pass block win rate was 31st. we couldn't convert on 3rd and short. even IF we find a stud guard in the draft, that only gets our line to where we were last year. as it currently stands our offensive line is NOT as good as last year. how can the offensive line NOT be the biggest need both for a starter and backup. improving the defensive line or a 3rd good safety is NOT gonna improve the offense but improving the offensive line WILL improve the defense just by keeping able to control the clock. our defense was definitely banged up and didn't perform well in the playoff loss to KC but at the same time, we couldn't move the ball and score so even had our defense played lights out, we still would have lost seeing as we just couldn't move the ball. the offensive line is the most important part of the team and we are trying to win with a bottom 5 O-line
Miami was 12th in the NFL in 3rd down conversion rates last year. They signed Brewer and Driscoll, and hopefully, Wynn comes back healthy.
How much do a team have to pay a drafted player,is it a fixed price.
