ABOUT LIMA, PERU:
Lima (/ˈliːmə/, Spanish pronunciation: [ˈlima]; Quechua: Limaq) is the capital and the largest city of Peru. It is located in the valleys of the Chillón, Rímac and Lurín rivers, in the central coastal part of the country, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Together with the seaport of Callao, it forms a contiguous urban area known as the Lima Metropolitan Area. With a population of more than 9 million, Lima is the most populous metropolitan area of Peru and the third-largest city in the Americas (as defined by "city proper"), behind São Paulo and Mexico City.

▶︎ We Spent A Night In Peru, And It Was Absolutely Incredible 🇵🇪(EPIC Peruvian Street Food) : bit.ly/2Uni8WG
Its one of yhe last places Corona has not visited yet. God please protect the third world countries.
Seems that Peru is closing its borders due to the C-word. Stay safe!
“Agua y manzana” that’s the name of the drink. It literally means, “Water and Apple” as in, their version of apple juice I think 😅
It got shutdown and lot of robbery...
@@warlockhaseo3642 No hobbos living in the streets like LA.
The ceviche in Lima. Miraflores specifically is next level OMG!!
It really is :)
San isidro is another level!
Miraflires and S Isidro are for the rich. Its not authentic!
@@spanishmasterpieces5203 Miraflores is mostly middle class. The only "rich" part would be the one facing the coast.
I love Miraflores. Hands down my most favorite destination to date.
Its one of ours as well!
I'm glad you like my city ❤
once the pandemic is over my friend rents a place right by the faro in that area in miraflores
Watch out for the delinquents who come to Miraflores from all parts of Lima to con and rob the tourists. And the prostitutes are all over the place.
@@57rrg funny how I stayed in Miraflores and didn’t notice a single prostitute or scammer.
Lima, Peru is rich in culture. We tried Peruvian food and it was really delicious.
It really is amazing!
It's quite better than cuban food and now mexican food. Peruvian if I can get it is some of the best food around the world I'd say with India, Jamaica, and Hawaii. I also think Peru chinese food is real good. The spare ribs don't have an overkill amount of that red glaze. I like it just not in overdrive.
The sunset in Miraflores is the best !!!
It was incredible!
¡Muy lindo Perú! Thanks for showing us your first impressions of our brothers down in Peru. Greetings from Mexico City.
Thank you so much!
Perú es genial!! Perú is awesome,
Wow the building are awesome love the cool architecture never seen anything like that before. The coastline there is awesome nice scenery. The food looks amazing too. Some of that artwork is awesome
It really is! We loved it!
Thank you for beautiful video of Lima. I feel like I'm there.
So happy to hear that! Thats what we were going for!
I think the cliffs of Miraflores are stunning and this place of Lima is far better than Santa Monica, CA
Lime looks historical and culturally strong.
It really is!
Of course we are but that's just part of it.
Is Lima not lime there is not English pronunciation for Lima the Capitals of Peru 🇵🇪just FYI
Outside of Miraflores and San Isidro it is trashy and very poor. I know I live here.
@@57rrg Barranco, Jesus Maria, La Molina, Surco, Magdalena del Mar, La Punta,
just now I dream of peru without knowing what its like in peru so I search how to live in peru until I ended up here it's beautiful!!! i love this vlog

Wonderful video! Our whole family sits down to enjoy your content. thank you!
Thats amazing! We are so happy hearing that!
I love the way that you show my city
Lima looks promising, guys. I swear i'm gonna follow your footsteps. I already traveled to Mexico after watching your videos and now this... Go further south please :) It's far from the Philippines so it'll be expensive but it's doable i guess. Looking forward for more of Peru vlogs.
You should! We cant wait to hear what you think!

I only have friends that go there for mission trips. This is a side I have never seen and it is a beautiful place. Thank you for sharing.
Its a really beautiful place! We enjoyed this city a lot :)
Wow you´re right Tah, we peruvians look so much like people from southeast asia, like Thailand or the Philippines. That´s something I never noticed before xD. I think the reason for that is because peruvians have a big percentage of amerindian ancestry. Even the average peruvian mestizo (mixed race between spanish and native) has at least 65% percent od indigenous dna. As far as I know, the ancestors of modern natives americans came from asia, so maybe that´s why both groups look so much alike.
Great video by the way. I'll try watch all your videos about Peru from now on. See you later xD.
not true at all..natives american dont look like asian south or east asian..is a false myth
i.imgur.com/Ke6hTsk.jpg
i.imgur.com/XjFUMMu.jpg
check does pics
and peruvian dont look like southasian ....peru is a multiculture country..and you will find many race mix..even afroblacks it depends in what area state
i will say this tho..that only eskimal indians from alaska may look oriental.beacuase of how close east asia and alaka is.
not amerindians from mexico to peru they are different
peru did however had japonese and chinese migration in the past..for work labor on the farms and haciendas in the begin of 1900s
Ahh yea thats what we thought :) Thank you so much for watching!
In addition to what Yuraq said, there is also a large Japanese population in Peru. Peru established relations with Japan around the 1900s and a lot of immigrants went there for various reasons. Mostly farmers looking for land. Eventually, business people followed. Even Peru had a controversial Japanese-Peruvian president (Fujimori). Other Japanese went to Brazil too. So you have a mix of indigenous Indians and immigrant Asians looking for opportunities.
@@xtremegold2950 I´m not so sure of that. You´re right about that we are a multicultural country, but that doesn´t mean that the genetic composition is equal for each group in Peru. According to many genetic studies, specifically one made by national geographic, the average inhabitants of Lima have 68% indigenous blood, however there are many other genetics studies done in Peru where the native componenet is as high as 80%. We have to take into consideration that Lima is the peruvian city which has received the most of the migrations waves from Europe during the times of the colony and the first decades of our republican history. This would imply that the indigenous indians are the group that has contributed the most to the peruvian genetic pool. So yeah, you´re right, culturally we have a lot influence from different parts of the world like Africa, Europe and East Asia, we have adopted many customs, but genetically the majority of us are still predominantly indigenous. Of course, "majority" doesn´t mean "everyone", not at all. I myself have seen many afroperuvians when I traveled to the distric of El Carmen (in Chincha, Ica) and many white people wherever I go in Miraflores district (in Lima). There´s even a little town in the jungled called Pozuso (in oxapampa, Cerro de Pasco), created by german inmigrants in 1859. Of course, as you mentioned before, we also received many waves of asian inmegrants, mainly chineses and japaneses, but the fact remains the same, we are mostly indigenous. Speaking of indigenous people, it seems like you think that every native group in the americas share the same physical characteristics among them, which is far from the truth, specially taking into consideration that many of these people lived in very different geographic conditions, developing different features to adapt to the environment. After all, is different living in the andes that living in the amazon rainforest or the desertic coastline. Taking this in consideration, it´s not strange that some native groups look more similar to their asian ancestors than others. After all, even Tah, a thai girl, recognized that *A LOT OF* peruvians (not *ALL* ) look like thai people, so there must be some truth on it. I do not intend to hurt any group or imply that one group is superior to other with this message, I just try to give more information about the complex situation of the genetics of peruvians, as well as the roots of our culture. We wouldn´t be peruvians without the great contribution of spanish conquistadors, italian inmigrants, african slaves and chinese workers to our gastronomy, religious practices, dances, customs or instruments.....We´re a mix of different races and we have to feel proud of it. *SOURCES* (some of them are in english and others in spanish): diariocorreo.pe/peru/limenos-son-68-indigenas-segun-national-geographic-744147/?ref=dcr / peru21.pe/lima/limenos-son-68-indigenas-revela-national-geographic-73148-noticia/?ref=p21r / www.sciencemag.org/news/2018/05/study-short-peruvians-reveals-new-gene-major-impact-height / www.nature.com/articles/jhg201373.pdf?origin=ppub / ruclips.net/video/Bt1ygYfUpQ0/видео.html / ruclips.net/video/dpE7-sQos9M/видео.html / ruclips.net/video/s4GfOtXjC-o/видео.html / ruclips.net/video/xZLmlLGUmec/видео.html /

Peruvian Food is so delicious 🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪

Te vas a morir si sigues comiendo comida peruana tradicional
also the reason you probably had people saying that you would get confused for a peruvian (you do look peruvian by the way, if i saw you on the street here i would assume you were peruvian maybe from the rainforest/jungle region of the country) is because of the high indigenous admixture in many peruvians and obviously the indigenous peoples thousands of years ago came from asia, so its common to see asian features as well as the immigration we had from china and japan in the 1800-1900's which contributed greatly to that. so basically a lot of peruvians have semi asian features from the indigenous and also more recent asian admixture but are on the darker/tanner skinned side due to geographic location obviously, thus many peruvians looking quite thai.

🌟The historic district is a hotbed of amazing stone building architecture that is like no other. I feel it would be a wonderful experience to visit. It would be nice to venture out of the tourist area and see the real lifestyle and meet some great people and get a home cooked meal. I thought it was cute when Tah had the sunbeam flower in her hair🏵. Well Jim you both have a great time. I will back track and catch up on what I missed in your videos. How does South America compare to SE Asia so far? I'm thinking of getting an elite visa and just moving to Thailand, but I've yet to see the Americas so I don't want to feel like there are better environments elsewhere.
Ahh you have to see them all before you choose to move:) They are different in but beautiful!
I think its the same amount of poverty but much more dangerous. In se asia you can be in whatever neighborhood and be chill, but in south america not

FUN FACT: The "weird" pine tree you saw, I think is a Norfolk Pine (originally from Norfolk Island between New Zealand and Australia). These are quite common as ornamentals but they have very similar ancient ancestors that were the dominant trees in the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods (150-65 million years ago). Think dinosaur food. :D
