Congratulations Mish! And thank you Dion and Don. I agree there isn't a more deserving detectorists. I'm excited to watch your future hunts with this machine. Your videos are always so classy and well crafted. They are real and exciting, well thought and informative. You have actually inspired me to film myself some because this is an awesome hobby that should be shared. So far only a couple clips on tiktok but hopefully some longer videos for the tube here soon. Thank you ❤ looking forward to your next adventure!

Cheers!!
Wading is so much fun. Years of it I've discovered so many neat things. Neat people as well. Haven't found a whole lot of coin though. Hopefully you find some glove $ soon. Thanks for the great vid Mish 🌜
A wading hunt will be the next video with this detector, it was a really productive one too. It's my favourite way to hunt. Oh my poor gloves... I've even had a 'coffee' donation to replace those so I should get onto it. 😂 They wear out really fast with rock detecting, as I need gloves that are thin enough to have decent tactile function when feeling for crevices in the sand. Cheers :)

I am most certain that it shall, there's another Excal video on the editing desk already. Very grateful to everyone that's helped me along the way. Cheers!!
If you think that was a coin day, wait until you see my second hunt with the Excal! 😉 It is a wonderful machine, especially in the water. Cheers Papole :)
Well done! A note on how the coils work, if you place a large metal object on a rock and then detect under the rock the machine will register the object above the coil as well as any underneath. Its an old prospectors trick to upset people working their leases illegally by hanging ring-pulls about a foot up in small bushes, when you detect under the bush you will get a great signal and start digging only to find nothing!
Yes in hindsight, placing the iron on top of the rock wasn't my brightest moment (lol) but I was aware of that fact, the pinpointer was far enough away to not pick it up. I often run a handful of sand or soil over the top of a coil if I'm unsure whether I'm holding a target. The prospectors trick about ring pulls, however... I hadn't heard of that one and that's just brilliant. Love it 😆 have a great weekend!
So cool Miss. love the detector. Too many knobs for this old coot. Lol fun dig. Oh, loved the ear plugs at the obstacle course. No coffee money today. Thanks for the adventure.

Sorry to hear you are moving the Sovereign on. What an amazing target on it's first hunt, I did very similar with the Equinox - around two weeks into owning it I pulled up a chunky 18k band. Cheers!!

The spill was not boring at all! I think most of us would be just wishing we'd found it! And I also "knew" it was going to be a 47 Florin :) Fabulous vid Mish :)
Good old 1947.... I thought it was my detector that was attracted to that specific year, but now that I've found it with two different models I'm suspecting it's just me. 😂 Thanks so much!
Your detector looks awesome , just goes to show there are some wonderful people still out there, I have some very good friends in America that have helped me with my silver coin collection and silver stacking. Internet friends are real ! 🤗
Hay Mish once you get used to the sounds of the Excalibur you will learn the sound of tin foil it’s a low grunting sound one word of caution ⚠️ diamond rings often make the same sound it’s really odd but true happy hunting I’m forward looking to seeing you using this great machine I was out almost every day when I first got mine 👍😊👍
Words of the wise! Thanks for that. I'll be digging most targets at the beach as always, but it's nice to know what to look and listen for. Cheers Mel :)
Thanks so much, Christmas came early for me for sure!! I'm so grateful to Don, Dion and all my viewers for their support, it has been an amazing journey so far. :)
Mish! I am so happy for you. The excal speaks a new language doesn't it... : ) You are going to enjoy it sooo much. I am truly tickled for you to have one now. It can see past iron trash, it tunes itself as you work the heavily mineralized salt beaches. I enjoy going back over areas that I have already detected on dry land with my Garrett AT Pro. I love my Garrett too, but the excal has found some really nice colonial flat buttons that my Garrett missed. ( missed because I may not have had it set the best way). You are going to enjoy it sooooo much. Cheers friend! Smiling, George.
Thanks George, I'm still stunned that it is now a reality! Having seen what it did with that 'honey hole' (seeing the coins past that big chunk of iron), I absolutely believe it'll be a game changer for where I live as there's lots of old iron around my beaches. I had a ripper hunt with it after this one and that'll be coming real soon. Cheers!!
@@DirtFishMish I think it is cool that your new joy is spread all the way to this cabin on a mountain in North Carolina, U.S.A. even before the sun came up. Great way to start my day. Only thing I can think of to share about the excal, remove the coil cover guard and wash the sand out. when it gets a load of sand in there, it will mess with the self tuning. Smiling, George.
Way to go Mish, congratulations on that silver and the new machine, looks like we are in for some great content in the future. What a honey hole on this hunt.
Thanks Steve, it's nice to have a mix of machines now, the Excal will be my 'water baby' and the nox will take care of the drier ground. It had a cracking wading hunt after this, stay tuned :)
I've had 4 Excals over the years, but since the Equinox they are retired. If I was diving it would be different. Your set up looks very good, but if you get a chance the headphones can be improved upon. Spend as much time as you can listening to the tones made by the targets you want to find. Developing your ear only comes with practice. Swing speed is more critical than with the 'nox as well.
Hi Tom, thanks for your wonderful comment. Re: swing speed, I typically swing a lot slower than most people I detect with so I think the Excal will be well suited to me. I'm not sure of anyone who does the headphone conversions in Australia (and to be honest, I wouldn't be confident doing it myself) but it is definitely something on my mind. I had a wading hunt with it since this video and pulled up more targets than I would've expected in the place I went to - a promising sign! Cheers. :)
Hi Mish :) that looks like a nice addition to the treasure locating equipment, I got excited for you when you uncovered that first florin then got other noises in the same area i thought it was all florins, it so could have been :D A great starter day with the new detector so fingers crossed that the florins flow plentiful in adventures ahead Mish :)
Thanks mate, I've been struggling to keep my mouth shut on this one! hehe. Flozzie will clean up nice but flippin' 1947 of all years 😂. more than half of all my flozzies are that year! Cheers.
ABSOLUTELY ENTRALLING!! BUT I LIKED YOUR FIRST DETECTOR MO' BETTAH LOL! YOU MUST HAVE SOME WEALTHY ADHERENTS! MINELABS ARE NOT CHEAP AND ARE THE CADILLACS OF DETECTORS..AND NOW, YOU OWN AT LEAST TWO. LOTSA BACKUP MACHINES!
The nox isn't going anywhere Woody, 'horses for courses' - it'll still be my machine of choice for land and most dry sand hunts. The Excal is too heavy to use above water for a long period of time. That's two noxes and an Excal in the detector rack now, lol! Cheers mate.
Congrats on your new machine. The people I know who use the Exec CaL II just love it. Great find on that old Florin and the little honey hole under the rock! ATB Rob FlThunder
That spill looked like fun and congrats on the Florin. You will do well in the water with that new machine of yours and the two guys that made it happen sound like top blokes 👍
Thanks mate, Don and Dion are wonderful and I'm so grateful for their assistance in my journey. Itching to get out into the water more often with this beastie. Cheers!
You almost found enough in that hole to buy a coffee! 😂 that new detector will go great with your diving adventures coming up. It’s cooling down here, so that means it will be warming up for you all. Take care my friend.
Hey bud! I came up a bit short on a coffee today, but as for the second hunt with the Excal, well... that was another story. 😉 I'm really excited to get out there more often with it, hopefully the stars align this week for a diving day. Cheers mate. :)
Thanks Gary, I've had a second hunt with it now and it was pulling up far more targets than I expected to find in a particular area. Now I can't wait to take it to the rest of my 'old grounds' and see what comes up. Cheers :)
Nice one Twinsy! That honey hole under the rock was a score! I'd be checking out similar rocks in the area. Was good to see someone experiencing the learning curv of the Excalibur. They would have to be the best under water detector on the market in my opinion. It will be great to see your journey along the path of learning it.
The area around it was clean, I think this one was skipped due to the iron signal. It’s a brilliant machine, much nicer to wield in the water than on land though (carbon shaft enroute 😉). Cheers mate.
Congrats on the new detector Mish 👍. I think you will be very pleased with that one, when you start diving for sure. Awesome finds in the Honey Hole 😂. Silver anyone 😂. Stay safe and GOD Bless
Thanks so much! A shame about the Nox - neither of ours have ever had the flooding issue, but given how often I take detectors into the water I really wanted to add one of these to the arsenal for extra security. Hope you have (had?) a fast warranty turnaround, ML have always been great with my gear. Cheers :)
@@DirtFishMish absolutely, Minelab was spot on with their warrantee work. Start to finish was under two weeks. We were very pleased with the process. Though it definitely makes me second guess taking it back in the water.
Thanks Corey, I'm so excited to have a dive-friendly full size detector now! Conditions are looking good for tomorrow where I am... cross your fingers for me. :)
@@DirtFishMish you will love it. As your diving experience grows you will start planning trips to go dive areas that people swim. Now you need to find a gold ring with it so it paid for its self.
Hi mish not sure how long you’ve had it but you’ll love it lol ,I got the AT max first then 6 months later excal max is ok for dry sand I eventually got settings to quiet it down in water ,but since I got excal all I use at the beach 👍
Thanks Vin, I've only had it for a week or so, had a couple hunts already with at least one more scheduled this week lol. Absolutely loving it so far, I guess I just need to add a gold detector in there somewhere to complete the set now. 😂 Cheers mate!
@@DirtFishMish takes a bit of time with tones hoping after lockdown can try my AT max on goldfields ,or I might be looking for another gold machine as well lol👍
How stellar was that for a first time out with the Excalibur! I’d be thrilled to find a “honey hole” like that! I did keep hoping that it was going to give you a piece of gold for your efforts. 😜👍🏻 Thank you again for another wonderful video! 🍻🍻😁😎
I would've been shocked if gold came out but I was quietly hoping the same 😂 My pleasure Dennis, I've got another Excal hunt filmed and I think it was even more fun than this one - catch you on the next one! :)
Ooh best of luck with the hunt mate. You won't miss a ring if you pass over it, the signals are lovely and clear. Hoping to take mine on a dive this week, even if it's just with the Nemo! 🤞
You said it might be boring for us if you stayed at the same dig site for too long. If you stayed at the same dig and pulled out 20 coins, that would be okay with me. You do visit some beautiful locations but I'm not here just for the scenery. The excitement you show when you find something special like that Florin, or any silver or even a toy car, is what makes this channel worth watching. So no matter where you dig, you make it fun. Keep it up!
Thanks for the words of encouragement :) And on a random side note.. how good is it when we find toy cars! They're some of my favourite finds. Cheers :)
This is true :) My second hunt with was much quieter and pulled quite a haul of targets.. super excited to start editing that one now that I've cleared this first hunt off my editing table. Cheers Dawn!
One can only hope! Still plenty of learning to do with scuba, but I'll be getting the Nemo out more frequently as the weather warms up and it is a perfect tool to use with the Excal. Cheers David. :)
Sure did! It had an even better hunt after this (wading in the water) which I'm just starting to edit now. Hoping to take it for it's first dive this week too. Cheers :)
Hi there! I had to go back and look to make sure I hadn't missed something, but it's just an optical illusion - the white thing is a rock underneath the boulder and the line is actually the water line - the edge is reflecting the sunlight, you can see the water level moving up and down the rock when I move my hand through the water. I didn't find any line in this spot :) Cheers.
@@DirtFishMish Cheers, have a look at this guy, ruclips.net/user/TonyEisenhowervideos Tony used an Excalibur for the longest time, he is an expert when it comes to pinpoints button and headphone mods for them. might be worth reaching out to him.
Get yourself a new upper shaft from Anderson Detector Shafts. Totally changes the feel and where the weight sits on this machine. It moves the board and battery underneath your forearm reducing the swing weight like crazy.
There's one enroute, that was a tip I learned nice and early on. Getting the travel shaft with the 12" lower rod so I can have a variety of configurations. Cheers!
That was quite the coin spill beneath that boulder. I'm assuming that the feeling returned to your foot once you finished with that spot. You didn't seem to be dragging it about in the latter part of the video. Anyway congratulations on getting the Excalibur II. I trust that it will serve you well. My diving detector is a White's Surfmaster PI. It's a little old but it still works. Keep up the great work...cheers!
My foot felt better after a few steps - until the next day, when my calves decided to stop working! 😂 Clearly it has been a while since I exerted myself to such a degree on these hunts. I am so delighted and grateful to have this opportunity to swing an Excal now, but the 'nox will still make a very regular appearance. I've heard great things about the Surfmaster, a friend of mine uses one as well. Cheers :)
It is a lovely detector, I am very happy with it already. Summer is coming in Australia, so many more water hunts are coming too :) Merci!
There’s a RUclipsr on here with a channel called ‘Detect Florida’ that uses an Excal - his videos are very pleasant to watch! I’m loving the learning curve. Cheers 😊
Nice content Mish, I bought a used Excalibur 2. It was my from my brother Louis. I bought it for five hundred bucks.I then sent it away to be refurbished. A new coil, new cables and headphones. My cost was a little over five hundred bucks for the repairs. I’ve used the detector on land and to be honest although it being sensitive and on discriminate it did not discriminate between metals very much. I followed the directions😂 on settings for using the detector on the beach sand. I still have not used the detector deeper underwater then three feet. Depending on how the Excalibur works in five feet underwater or more will determine if I trade it in or sell it. If it works better then the 900 in water I will keep both. Im looking at the Mine Labs Equinox 900. What are your thoughts on the 900? I’ve read nothing but positive comments in regards to the detector. The fact that there are no visible numbers to determine what the potential target while using the Excalibur 2 but there is on the 900 makes me thinking I will enjoy using the 900 more.
Congratulations Mish! And thank you Dion and Don. I agree there isn't a more deserving detectorists. I'm excited to watch your future hunts with this machine.
Congratulations on the new Excal, it’s on my wish list. Nice job Don and Deion👋👍
Thanks so much, Christmas came early for me for sure!! I'm so grateful to Don, Dion and all my viewers for their support, it has been an amazing journey so far. :)
That bucket of coins! Well! Especially under that chunk of iron!
And I suspect that's exactly why they were still there, the iron signal would've put people off! Cheers Dug :)
Congrats on your new detector and thank you for sharing the trial run.
Thanks Starry - very excited for future water hunts with this new piece of kit. I'm hoping for a dive today, fingers crossed :)
@@DirtFishMish 🤞
@@trimbaker1893 will do. Thanks George. 😊
@@DirtFishMish Mish, when you have used it a while, I would be curious about your favorite settings... : )
You be safe! Congratulations on Florin!
Safety first, always! Cheers :)
Great hunt and good finds and enjoyed the video and good Luck
Glad you enjoyed it Jimmy, cheers mate :)
Cheers. :)
Hi Mish :) that looks like a nice addition to the treasure locating equipment, I got excited for you when you uncovered that first florin then got other noises in the same area i thought it was all florins, it so could have been :D
A great starter day with the new detector so fingers crossed that the florins flow plentiful in adventures ahead Mish :)
Thanks Mark, I've had two hunts with it so far and a 100% strike rate on the silver! 😉 Fingers crossed for a dive with it this week. Cheers :)
Woohooo!! Great vid Mish. Congratulations on the new detector!! Well done. Nice flozzie, I’m sure it’ll clean up nice 😁😁👍
Thanks mate, I've been struggling to keep my mouth shut on this one! hehe. Flozzie will clean up nice but flippin' 1947 of all years 😂. more than half of all my flozzies are that year! Cheers.
I'm a bit late to this video my friend but I loved it. Sounds like you got quite the upgraded treasure hunting tool!
It has been fun trying to apply the knowledge I've learned so far to a new machine! A new challenge. Cheers mate. :)
ATB
Rob FlThunder
It's great to finally have a dedicated water hunting machine. Cheers Rob, appreciate it. :)
I absolutely love mine and live in Corpus Christi texas love the beach and ocean for detection
Nice detector and some great finds.
I’m in love already. Cheers 😄
Nice Machine. I want a Excalibur next.
Thanks Gary, I've had a second hunt with it now and it was pulling up far more targets than I expected to find in a particular area. Now I can't wait to take it to the rest of my 'old grounds' and see what comes up. Cheers :)
Great video. Can't wait for more..✌❤
Thank you so much, Karen!
Looks like you've done we'll on you're first go. A few tips from the Minelab users and you'll be a pro! Great video.
Thanks mate. I’m looking forward to putting some serious work into learning the machine. Cheers!
hi Mish I love the detector it is so sleek and shiny New that's so exciting to try out great job !
Sleek, shiny, and heavy as a bus lol but I'm loving it! Cheers Jason.
Cheers mate.
another great show Mish !
Thanks mate! :)
Congrats on the new detector Mish 👍. I think you will be very pleased with that one, when you start diving for sure. Awesome finds in the Honey Hole 😂. Silver anyone 😂. Stay safe and GOD Bless
Cross your fingers George, conditions are looking alright for a Nemo dive today. Hopefully the water plays nice. Cheers!
@@DirtFishMish I hope you have a great adventure 👍 can’t wait to see the trip
Great hunt Mish for your first hunt to strike 2 silvers that is great congrats 👍👍🍺🍺
It's had a 100% strike rate on the silver so far from two hunts 😉 thanks mate.
My uncle is a Don and I got my Excalibur from him. Is a nice unit.
Awsome coin hole 😀
Nice video! I put a 15 inch Nel coil on mine, and I can’t use my Pinpointer comfortably around it!
That was some awesome honey hole. Well done. It’s like a dream come true
Thanks Shelley, I was so tired after crouching there for so long but it was worth it lol. Cheers!
Great video. I so badly want to add the Excalibur II to my arsenal. Especially after one of our Nox 800’s flooded. 🤙
Nice job on that honey hole!! I love the excal2. When you hit a target out in the water you really now it. Congrats on that Floren!!
I tried to find it again but it is sanded in now! The Excal has such lovely tones too, I just wish it was a little lighter. 😊 Cheers Cricket!!
Awesome finds!
Cheers Billy!
That spill under boulder was awesome , must be a popular rock to sit on
It was such a surprise, as the area around it was very quiet! I think you're right. Cheers :)
What a great honey hole under the rock Mish. Well done.
Thanks so much Helen! :)
Lindo detector!! Felicitacuones!!!
Thank youuu! 😊
Woo-hoo! Congrats on your new toy Mish!
Great! I want to find one of those rock spots. lol
They're definitely out there! Keep checking the crevices, rock pools and stacks of loose rocks. You just never know what'll come up. Cheers :)
Thank you again for another wonderful video!
🍻🍻😁😎
I would've been shocked if gold came out but I was quietly hoping the same 😂 My pleasure Dennis, I've got another Excal hunt filmed and I think it was even more fun than this one - catch you on the next one! :)
@@DirtFishMish Looking forward (as always) to your next adventure!
Hope you are having a wonderful day!
😎👍🏻😁🍻
Woww..wonderfull..👍👍
Cheers! 😁
That one is on my wish list Michael’s lending me one of his on Friday for a hunt for a lost ring in the harbour 🤞
Cheers :)
It’s practice!
This is true :) My second hunt with was much quieter and pulled quite a haul of targets.. super excited to start editing that one now that I've cleared this first hunt off my editing table. Cheers Dawn!
Fancy new detector! Sounds like you'll be going scubadiving more often!
One can only hope! Still plenty of learning to do with scuba, but I'll be getting the Nemo out more frequently as the weather warms up and it is a perfect tool to use with the Excal. Cheers David. :)
Wow excalibur
Miss Australia 2021 👑 🔍! Thanks for the videos
hehe, cheers mate. :)
It is a cool detector. I have been tempted to get one myself
I'm having some fun with it! Got a carbon shaft coming too, so that'll make it easier to swing. Cheers Nathaniel. :)
I’d love too go treasure hunting with you lol super fun!
Oh you got the excalibur it looks like I’m watching now .
Sure did! It had an even better hunt after this (wading in the water) which I'm just starting to edit now. Hoping to take it for it's first dive this week too. Cheers :)
@@DirtFishMish oh that is going to be fun . Enjoy and I’m also excited for you . Cheers
Hi Mish.
What else was under that rock? White with a piece of fish line? Top ctr of the video visible with the last two coins from under the rock?
Loved it!
Congrats mam, Excalibur 2 is a dream for me😅✌️
Outstanding darlin. 🕺
Greatly appreciated, Billy! :)
Já chego dando like 😊 Parabéns pela conquista do Excalibur||👏♥️
Thank you so much! There are more Excalibur videos coming. Cheers :)
@@DirtFishMish 😃
Nice machine, nice finds!
Thank you, looking forward to giving it a decent test drive underwater when I can!
@@DirtFishMish That would be cool. I really respect the go-getter outlook you have on detecting.
Awesome stuff Mish 👌
Thanks mate 😁
Nice one, it's not jack sparrow treasure, but sure was fun to watch you fish them all out from underneath that rock.
The gift that kept on giving! I dare say people skipped it due to that iron target masking the good stuff. Cheers mate.
Cheers!
@@DirtFishMish right on! After my first dive with mine I immediately ordered the Anderson scuba shaft! What a difference!
Cheers :)
🇨🇵Bonjour a toi DirtFishMish😋
It is a lovely detector, I am very happy with it already. Summer is coming in Australia, so many more water hunts are coming too :) Merci!
I'm looking forward to buying one of these detectors myself- using them takes a trained ear but that's fine. I live in South Florida.
