Good evening, George. Love the appraisal fairs. That cordial set was fantastic. I really liked the melon-shape on the decanter. I like that propeller, but the clock would have to go 😂 The lady that does the quilting does beautiful work. Those pieces were fantastic. I like that Alaskan jade kayaker piece. The Capodimonte urn was a beauty. The $150.00 price surprised me a bit. I was expecting it to be a bit more. That silver set was nice...but I ain't polishing that stuff 😆 I love those cameos. Cameos and pearls seem so classic, and classy, to me. That house is fantastic, and has fantastic pieces in it. I have a Mason & Hamlin reed organ. It was made in the last half of 1892, and is solid walnut. Great premier! Thanks for sharing it with us!
I like that shape too! Agreed about the clock, it was not a grreat addition and the donor knew it, but I figured that could be up to the next owner to adjust. The urn should've been more and will again someday, but the market is not hot for Capodimonte right now, I've had pieces sitting unsold at reasonable prices for a few years in some cases. I like sterling flatware for everyday use because using it removes the need to polish, but beverage sets don't get enough handling and turn dark. My grandmother wore the same cameo over and over, at her collar like Granny in the Tweety Bird cartoons. Reed organs are very pretty, I'm actually a fan even if they're hard to sell they're neat to see! Glad you had fun with this one.
@@TheAntiqueNomad I wondered if the propeller had been damaged, in order to fit the clock into it. Hopefully not. There are some Capodimonte pieces I don't care for, especially the ones with gaudy colours, but that urn was a really nice and pretty piece. A pair of those would be great on either side of a mantle. On a few of the beverage sets I have, (like a Heisey _Colonial_ set), I put a coat of car wax. It makes them shine and have more "spark". Would that work to help prevent sterling pieces like that from tarnishing? The reed organ I have is, indeed, a pretty one. It has gold filigree patterns on it. I love the way it sounds, too. It almost has a drone like bagpipes, and I love bagpipes.
George, hi Mr. Nomad 🖐 Thank you for your explinations of why items' values fluctuate. Until recently I thought the oder the piece the higher the monetary value.
Hello from Cleveland. Yes sometimes the state of Ohio is underrated. We have a lot going on here. The Cuyahoga Valley National Park draws a lot more people than you would think too!
Hi Friends, Cincinnatians enjoy a reach history of settlement stimulated due to the OH River. It's characterize by hills, vallies ,trees & a population that is generations old. . Ohio is often just thought of as flat farm land.😮 w&ich it is not.
My dad got his pilots license when he was 16 when he was at Allen Military Academy in TX and he would have loved to have had the wooden propeller. Dad used to take me flying on weekends and he loved flying until his health stopped him and he passed away at 85.
Music 🎶 Signs, Signs everywhere a sign 🎶 So I Tucked my hair up under my cap 🎶 So, tucked my hair inside my shirt 😂 to look alittle conservative 😂 No signs needed. It's wonderful to give your locks to folks who need wigs for medical reasons. Our daughter & friends do that also, George
I sure miss your channel. Its sad that you now seem to ONLY POST for those who pay the monthly fee to watch you. Thats really sad. I used to enjoy watching your adventures across the states from Florida to Washington state.

The Capodimonte pieces are just stunning. I especially like the wagon and horses.
They certainly do have a lot of character, I agree!
Shucks! I wanted to go watch this appraisal when you were here. Now, I'm really kicking myself. The house is gorgeous!
I hope to go back there again!
The English Sterling teapot and creamer are just lovely!

That is a very common misconception, but there is so much more to it than that!
I'm learning that Ohio is an interesting place with a rich history.
True! It's older than people consider
