As a butcher I'm sitting screaming at my screen "porter house is two of those previous cuts" then rhett hits us with the knowledge 🥰 a porter house is, in fact, a newyork strip and a filet.
Honestly, Rhett has so much stored information. I perpetually root for Link but Rhett never ceases to impress me.
Not a butcher but I was in the same boat. Maybe not screaming, but I was very curious which side of the porterhouse they fed them.

I feel like they missed some really good cuts of steak because they aren’t typical “steak house” menu items. Also what side of the porter house did they give them? That makes a big difference.
Confused on why they seemed to rush this episode.... Not giving us the final score totals, or any kind of review of the choices. Seemed odd.
Picanha, Flat Iron and Denver steak cuts are three of my favorites that aren’t as “typical” as something like a Ribeye or New York Strip. I’d highly recommend giving them a try

Sirloin is funny like that. You can have sirloin as tender as filet and as tough as top round. I think the more tenders sirloins are probably from the picanha area

I was just rewatching some old episodes and I wish you guys would do the ‘popular songs in 30 seconds’ again. As far as I know you only did it once and it was really fun.
For me, it's either Ribeye or NY Strip. It all depends on the day. Ribeye is tastiest, but NY is good and easier to eat and more meaty.
Probably the first time on this show that Link has actually eaten normal size bites!
Ribeye is the most tender. Then Filet, a T Bone is just a New York strip and filet together

Grew up enjoying Ribeyes for supper whenever my dad would grill them for us , the only other way I got to eat steak was at either Ponderosa Steakhouse or Golden Corral back in the early to mid 90’s when steak was affordable.

my go to has always been ribey and a fliet if made right is amazing as well (i always do rare but fine with medium rare as well but nothing beyond that)

USA Porterhouse = T-Bone Steak in Australia, a Rib-Eye is a Scotch Fillet on the bone, NY Strip is a Porterhouse and Filet Mignon is an Eye Fillet wrapped in bacon.
