Congratulations on your new home! I can not even imagine the excitement of being able to build your own home! Becoming a homeowner is exciting in itself! Instead of paying rent you are investing in yourself and your family. I'm disabled but with hardwork, I was able to finally buy my first home back in 2010. I recently made a major change by selling my house, moving over 900 miles away and buying another house. Yes, it's an older home but I paid for it in cash. For the first time in my 50+ years, I'm debt free. Which I know a lot people strive for. It is truly a blessing! Wishing you & your family continued blessings in your beautiful new 🏠 🙏❤!

LG washer without the agitator works with the king bedding. The dryer fits a lot in it too. We shop for furniture at oak express. I have bought from value city, Ashley, and oak express. Value city and Ashley did not hold up at all

I’m so happy for you! Just a note about the king\queen bed decision. You said you heard that by getting a king size it is more work to vacuum the mattress and getting duvet covers. You can actually get regular bedspreads and comforters for king size, exactly as you do the Queen size bedding. I normally clean my mattress once a month anyways, but we have a Queen in our guest room and it gets the exact same cleaning. I just wanted to let you know, in case you didn’t choose a larger bed for those reasons. I actually love the king size and the extra room is great! Your whole family can all get cozy in bed and cuddle on cold winter nights too! Lol 🥰

I love your ‘unfinished home’ tour. So spacious and the natural lighting pouring in from the windows is amazing. It makes my very soul happy to see how excited you are about it. All the sacrifices, the blood, sweat and tears plus saving $$ for so long was/is worth it. Y’all deserve every inch of it to make beautiful memories with your family! ♥️
Nice flooring. Love how light and bright it is. Lazy Boy has beautiful furniture, and the quality is awesome. Love the fans on the porch. Love the purple room. Had a purple room in the past. Love your craft room and the sink that you had installed. Hope you had a fantastic Easter. Hope you are able to move during the summer. So exciting.
You won't regret getting a king sz. bed, and it could work against the wall where the barn door is going, opening up the window space for a seating area and giving you views from the bed to two window walls. There is room on the opposite wall for dresser/TV, etc. There are some good furniture buys at Wayfair, Amazon, even Walmart, but be careful of the actual retailer and double-check descriptions. For case goods, you can't beat all pine from IKEA. Most folks also have a decent brick and mortar furniture store within an hour's drive where you can feel, test and see the product and work with actual color swatches.

Super cool about the lady bugs. They represent good luck. Someone nearby may have purchased them from a garden shop and released them into their garden. They eat aphids and protect other plants. I hope you can remove them without killing them.
Our table from Ashley peeled to they replaced it once and it did it again then they would not replace it the second time. I would go with a higher end for a table you use a lot. Real wood. For sure your home is beautiful

Oak express has Amish furniture if you ask. Our dining room table is Amish made and it is stunning. Even the chairs have held up beautifully

I go to a local,smaller furniture store. Costs more, but it's QUALITY, real wood and lasts for years. Everything looks beautiful! I'm DROOLING over your craft room!

After having helped clean for a king size owner, I'll never have a king size bed in my house. For those out there who love their king, bless you all but from my experience, no. My reasons are
1. most rooms will feel uncomfortably tight once the other furniture is in place. Put out some boxes or tape out your furniture on the floor and walls and try walking around everything.
2. the cost of the bed frame is nothing compared to the cost and weight of a comfortable King mattress and if you decide to flip it gets some friends to help.
3. the cost of the comforter, blankets, pillows, shams, bedspread not to mention decent linen is really expensive (look it up and shop around and show you husband because no one believes it's going to be all that much more until they have to get all new bedding)
4. vacuuming under a king is a real pain unless you like getting down on your hands and knees just to reach the middle
5. for laundering, a repair guy told me that it's better to have a good extra heavy duty washer and dryer because regular new machines just aren't really designed for kings. Washing drying and folding will take a better part of a day.
6.And lastly making the bed alone will take you far longer than you'll believe especially if you have more than a sheet and a comforter.
My Mom and Dad had a king. There was no room to walk. Bed was almost touching wall. Could barely get in on one side. Cleaning under it was hard. Bed, dresser and chest of drawers -room was packed.
I have a queen. Plenty of walking room Around bed.

We got an amazing table from Costco. Everyone compliments it and it is still beautiful even after 4 years and 7 people using it.

I must admit I buy 99% of my furniture secondhand..I have been up cycling furniture on the side for other’s & myself for many years! I really love vintage and mid century style. It seems to have been built good. I also love to jazz up antique furniture. But idk too much about new furniture stores. A lot of people I know buy from IKEA & Wayfair. Good luck & have fun!! ❤❤
I also wanted to tell you that a king size bed is so nice. Just get a split box. We got an adjustable California king and we love it.

Absolutely gorgeous. So happy for you all. Those aren’t lady bugs they are called Asian beetle bugs.. They look identical. I live in Massachusetts, we had them for two years. They are very dirty, they poop everywhere. It’s so hard to get rid of them. They live the sun and heat.

We got some of our furniture from IKEA. Big Lots has some nice stuff. It depends on where you live. Costco and Sam's Club have a few, nice things. We also shopped at a lot of local places. Holiday sales are a great idea 💡👍.
