Whenever I was a kid in 1985 I read a real necronomicon that supposedly had skin for the cover and the first thing I said was if you read this the devil's going to possess your body and I went about three paragraphs into it and said no sorry that's not for me.....

When fiction enters the money supply, it introduces an element of
unreality or speculation that can undermine the stability and trust that
money is supposed to represent. Money, at its core, is a tool humanity
uses to simulate value, facilitate trade, and create a common
understanding of worth in the real world. It relies on trust and a shared
belief in its value, which is ideally grounded in something tangible or
      reliable.
When speculative or fictitious elements-such as inflated asset values,
derivatives with no real underlying value, or even currency manipulation-
enter the money supply, they can distort this simulation of reality. These
fictional aspects can inflate or deflate the perceived value of money,
leading to economic bubbles, crashes, or hyperinflation. This, in turn, can
discount reality by making it harder to assess the true value of goods,
      services, and labor.
In this sense, the intrusion of fiction into the money supply can lead to a
disconnect between the currency's value and the real-world economy it is
meant to represent. It can create an economic environment where
decisions are based on illusions or distorted perceptions rather than on
the true state of affairs. This undermines the stability of the financial
system and can erode trust in money as a reliable measure of value,
      ultimately discounting reality itself.

      @@maxwin3D dream #1
Me and a girl named darlynn were riding (backseat) down the highway, I was behind the driver seat, she was next to me in the middle, and next to her buckled in was THIS book. She was afraid of it and cuddling/clenching up to me and asking me to get rid of it, so I reached over to unbuckle it as it was speaking some language I've never heard, it tried to bite me, I grabbed it and tossed it out the window and my perspective followed the book, I seen it hit the ground and roll a few times before it opened and there were words/pictures in it, but I never got to see/read any of it before my perspective was pulled back into my body, now im looking out the windshield as all the cars in front of us are floating away, then our car started floating away, darlynn fell out of the car 1st, i fell out next and couldn't find her so i went floating around looking for her, i ended up at a shopping mall and floated down to a (2 story) kiosk/vendor booth where the top vendor shoo'd me away and told me i wasn't supposed to be there (ended up getting banned from that mall irl years later) I floated up towards the skylight in the ceiling and noticed a crack in the wall and turned into smoke and drifted through it, now im standing in an old boarded up dusty long abandoned house, and all these ghosts, demons, goblins and every little evil creature you could think of started materializing right in front of me, finally a skeleton is standing right in front of me and kneels before me and presents me with a sword, I take the sword and just start chopping hacking and slicing through demon after goblin after ghost, before coming to a door and crashing through it only to find another whole room full of them to chop through (strangely none of them are Fighting or trying to escape my wrath, just standing there as I cut through them) room after room, door after door, until i finally come to an empty closet sized room, no demons, no doors, just a dead end, so i crash through the wall into another room, but this one contains only an intensely glowing blue woman who reaches out to me, I take her by the hand and we fuse together at the wrist and I start glowing blue, then I wake up
      🤷🏾‍♂️

The book actually houses the discs, and the thin layer of latex was already tearing up before it got home. It's wrapped over a sheet of white foam, which is probably glued to the (probably cardboard) book.
Even though it's a cheap replica (for a blu ray set), I'd love to repair the latex cover.

The H. R. Giger necronomicon is an astounding collection of art. Most Lament Configurations and PuzzleBox replicas aren’t very satisfying to hold. Cheap plastics and no functionality, though it looks cool on the shelf. There are some very nice ones, heavy, that do open or change shapes.

I had the opportunity to gaze upon the necronomicon for the musical production - and met the artist.
Little convention for B-movie cinema/film in Ohio, by the name Cinema Wasteland, had the artist as a special guest for quite a couple years and i had the joy to visit.
There were quite a few notable guests that year I went, but the artist behind that art for the necronomicon had his own little room where so much of his art was on display that you'd think it were a museum for the event.
Such a great fella to talk with and hear stories from this awesome artist. Like a litttle tale of the musical, how he particularly enjoyed how one audience member in the front row was dressed in a white suit - waiting to get sprayed in the theatrical blood.
In particular, I liked his drawing he would sign for EVERYONE; he went on to tell me how he came upon the design for his little drawing while trying to impress some new friends in Japan, and that if he ever won the lottery - He'd likely host a big weekend long party where the only people invited would have to turned in the signature with the drawing. Tom Sullivan is seriously one cool dude.

I met Tom Sullivan a bunch of times at various cons when I was younger. Absolute class act; he remembered me and the girl I was seeing at the time each year we went and asked after her efforts as an artist in a way that felt supportive. Seeing him was always one of the highlights of the con. I also ran into Tom Savini and Ted Raimi while they were in town for a related matter and both of those guys were an absolute trip. Bruce Campbell is, of course, Exactly As Cool He Seems and Erik Estrada was Weird. That's basically all my stories.
