I think he's using the vampire thing as an allegory of what addiction can do to the people around them, dragging them into the same hell. It was sort of buried in the major chord bounce of the OG version (which I'm fond of), but the new verse 'I sharpen my teeth...' into the full on admission that he's a vampire, as he brings his carer into his addiction, seems to be sort of nailing home the allusion.

I really liked his "Hi my name is Ronnie, I'm an addict" line. It felt more raw to me, like he finally came to terms with his addiction and could admit it wholeheartedly, which is usually painful and hard to do. Unlike in the original he's admitting it, but it almost felt kind of not as taken seriously to me, though idk how to explain well. Though that's just me 😂💖

Great reaction! It’s my first time here but not my last. I think more like these are coming. I was watching Ronnie on Twitch the other day and he said another song was going to be dropped very soon. He gives an “experience “ with his music. He puts so much of his heart and soul in and you can feel every word.
I think you hit the nail on the head when you said that the songs had taken on another, more mature meaning to him.
My take between the original and this one: the original is the unapologetic, partying addict. In it he’s not thinking about what impact it has on others.
To me, this is a more mature look back at his addiction and how he didn’t think he was a monster but in reality he truly was but hid it from everyone including himself. Paige (she looks familiar because she was in WWE and is his irl girlfriend), I believe is a representation of how much he hurt those around him with his addiction and actions. In the video, it’s Paige’s discovery that he is a monster but in the song alone, I believe it’s bigger than that but I already wrote you a book (I’m sorry). When the Lynch mob comes, I think that’s his resignation, his giving up because he acknowledges how much he’s hurt those around him that he loved the most (again represented by Paige... he killed her with the discovery that he’s a monster and then he turned her into the very thing he despised about himself so he gave up.
Anyway, that’s just my take on it

Imo the remake versions are FAR better than the originals. It really makes the lyrics more meaningful. I never really paid attention to the lyrics of the original bc it was upbeat and cheeky. These versions highlights the msg.
The “hi my name is Ronnie” bit sounds like his multiple personalities that we all have but he’s an addict and therefore all his personalities are addicts and bc of it he has no self control.
