The 6s Plus actually runs at 1242x2208 resolution, then down samples it to 1080p (for App Store compatibility), making the resolution advantage practically nonexistent.
+Wes Perry only one guy that knows that! and the resampling from 2208 to 1080 happens every fps so the iPhone needs more gpu power than the native 2k output! in less words the iPhone pusses more power than the s7 even with smaller resolution cause of the resampling

Returned MY S7 Edge. It got WAY to hot just playing a simple game like Clash of Clans. Got an iPhone 6S Plus now. Ive never owned an iPhone before but I love it now! Never gets extremely hot and VERY fast!!
+Jay Lewis But is not the ''device'' reason, it's a software reason as well ;), when you going to turn off all apps not just minimalized it could be same or even better ;)
Yeah my S6 has really agressive RAM management I was hoping they fixed it with the S7 but clearly not. Back to iPhone this year by the looks of things.
Hey Jerome Im not getting that. Just tried it with my S7 Edge with double the amount of apps as you tried and my stopwatch never stopped, worked perfectly. You may have a lemon. I might upload a stress test later on to show.
+Ayush Saha Overclocking something like a Snapdragon 820 would be incredibly stupid, it also might not actually improve performance by any noticeable margin.
+duc anh duong 1440p Vs 750p. I'm shocked the iPhone doesn't have a much better lead in speed. Just imagine how fast Android phones would be, if they were still pushing around a measly 326 pixels. lol
This is exactly why I switched to iPhone. Android doesn't even hold its place in my heart like it used to I turned in my S7 Edge for a 6S Plus and I don't regret my decision.
1) Apple's dual-core processor is NOT comparable to other Android SoCs. It's not better, it just functions differently. It has wider cores that use more power (per core) at max clocks. 2) iOS isn't comparable to Android neither in processing needs, nor in RAM management. While apps can stay running in the background with Android (and still consume lots of resources), iOS pauses/suspends apps in the background, compresses their addressed memory space, and dedicates most of the resources to the app/task in the foreground (some exceptions to this rule are music, navigate, telephony, etc..). If more RAM is needed for a task, iOS's kernel commits the previously compressed address spaces into NAND. You can notice this when you restore a recently opened app; it would still be paused for a moment then resumed (the speed of resume depends on whether it's address space was committed to NAND). 3) The Snapdragon 820 technically isn't a quad-core processor, it's also a dual-core processor with two additional little cores for smaller tasks in a 2x2 configuration. Not exactly big.LITTLE, but neither pure quad-core. It's still a first generation implementation of Qualcomm's custom cores, and should get better with future implementations that have more cores. The Snapdragon 810 and 808 were also "bad" chips. Sorry, but for Android, Exynos is where it's at in both performance and efficiency. Android makes good use of the additional cores, and Exynos has always been better for Android. That being said, I still wouldn't judge the GS7 since it's just been released. The iPhone 6S had its fair share of numerous issues when it first came out. Samsung will push lots of updates and lots of your "issues" will be resolved. Happens all the time.
+Aw Snap The differences between technical details in in both Android and iOS are not being discussed here, but the overall performance, which is important for the costumers. Something that bothers me a little is the fact that there are Android fans who likes to brag about the top-of-the-line hardware specs on Android devices against the "3-years-old" specs on the iPhone. Why you brag about the specs if the device is not well optimised. Don't get me wrong, I like both Android and iOS. It's just that I don't know why people get mad when the phone they don't like turns out to be the winner in most speed tests here on RUclips.
What Iphone did you use last. Your second point about ram management is only true for iPhone 6 or older. The 6 s I have keeps the app really open and ready to use. There is no refresh no pause nothing. It actually stays open and ready to be used.
Love this video! I own 3 of the four phones and day to day the 6s plus just works more efficiently for me and my daily task! All are great phones and I was a die hard Android FanMan! Just subscribed, you winning and great job! Just personal preference it comes down to in the end!
Apple is a closed ecosystem, and everything is designed to work with one ios revision, hardware and software. Android is an open system.. Yea you trade off refined faux speed for a slower more personalized open system system. Ios and Android are 2 completely different systems... For 2 completely different users... No one is better then the other, .. All this bickering about who's is faster is awesome.. Bend gate, chip gate, antenna gate, the Internet provides lots of humor, thank you! Just Enjoy technology...
You cant compare Android with ios. Its like comparing PC and console. While console is better at doing what they build for, a PC can do a lot more and more versatile.
+nazrin asraf The console is better for doing what it was built for? And what exactly is that, playing games at 720p and 30 FPS? I'll give you that one. It is hard to find a 30 Hz monitor to game on these days.
+gamhacked if the android (pc) can do better than the ios (console) then that is the end for ios (console). while now pc is outclassing console in so many aspect, it is a different story 10 years back.
That's not a good comparison because consoles don't even work smoothly anymore. These aren't the PS2 or the N64 we're talking here. These latest-gen ones try so hard to compete with the PC on the latest titles that their pathetic hardware can't handle 1080p graphics at a steady frame-rate, and these same games then don't perform well on PC because nobody bothers to spend any time producing a quality port. Everyone loses. A better analogy for Apple to Android would be iOS to Windows. Windows is more open and customizable, but iOS performs more smoothly on Apple devices than Windows does on third-party machines. Apple devices may not have impressive specs or do as many things, but you have to admit that what they do, they do damn well. I've had two smartphones: an iPhone 3GS and a Sharp Aquos Crystal. It's unfair to compare a high-end Apple to a crappy Android, but reading about these Samsung shenanigans (that you don't know which CPU you're getting when you buy a S7) and the fact that I have to root the phone to remove Samsung's hideous theme (which is shameful for the 'best', most expensive phone on the market) is making my decision a little easier.
I wonder how the exynos version would do. Did you try with other stopwatch apps to rule out the problem being with just the app? (Although that overall lag IS noticeable). Great vid!
+youtubechannel I think it is more a problem about Android optimization on the device. In short, Samsung needs to tweak it more if it is going to add their own UI alongside it.
that seems as though there may be a bug in the stopwatch app almost. it would be reasonable to expect the stopwatch app to be given priority in the background given the nature of the task its performing. that doesnt seem to be happening here and it seems to be getting closed by the memory manager. temp based throttling shouldn't affect the way the memory manager closes apps in the background like that.
+Isaax 1:42 for the 2015 iPhone 6s + 2:00 for the brand new -and with heat issues- S7 Edge 2:02 for the Nexus 6P 2:16 for Moto X Pure... I still think that Android devices specially from Samsung are nice... but it is starting to not get into business anymore... I've read some people saying that its unfair because it's "comparing PC with a gaming console"... seriosly? Both compared devices iOS and Android pretty much do the same... Calls, Video Calls, Messaging, Email, Photos, Music, Videos., WIFI 4G, and a long ETC. 20 seconds still a high amount of time and having that in mind comparing it to older devices IMHO.
why would you sacrifice performance for a difference that can't be seen with the human eye? 400 PPI on the 6s plus is clear enough, you can't see pixels so what's the point?
+Tech guy human eye can see things as small as 1000ppi. People that come with this argument are the same as those that said that 120hz monitors were pointless because the human eye couldn't detect a framerate that high. Personaly i'm looking forward for 4k to become standard for videos online as well as computer monitors because of detail quality. I'd love to watch spacetimelaps videos on a 4k mintor, all them stars.
+TheMikeBase I can see the need for crisper displays in monitors and TVs buy not tiny phone screens. The state of phones today and Galaxy S7 even laggy and lots of Androids I can't see the reasoning behind wanting to sacrifice performance for negligible gains in PPI. I think your 1000 PPI argument is a myth. How is it that I have 20/20 vision but can't see any pixels on my 1080p LG G Flex 2? And I use my girlfriend's S6 all the time and the clarity difference just isn't there. After 1080p it is just a waste of GPU power that could be making S6 and S7 and the Note series run much smoother. At this rate they'll never catch up to Apple's smoothness.
What about clearing the cache on the Samsung S7? Power off then power on but keep holding the power button and hold volume up button and hold the home button as it boots then whenever the Android robot logo appears let go of all the buttons. Use volume to navigate up and down and use the power button to Enter/confirm/select.
+TheImmortalness In terms of CPU power that is simply false, but iOS is way more optimized though so actual performance is about the same CPU wise. What the iPhone excels at is the great internal storage speeds and the top of the line PowerVR GPUs built into the A-series chipsets.
www.anandtech.com/show/9686/the-apple-iphone-6s-and-iphone-6s-plus-review/15 "On the SoC side, it’s pretty safe to say that the A9 SoC is the best SoC in any phone today." (notice i said SoC in my previous comment. P.S show me where the A9's CPU is beaten by another chip that was released at the same time).
Why so many dislikes ? This test was good and you know your shit compared to other testers who don't even know that the iPhone 6S has a dual core cpu. My opinion is : Apple tries to put the less expensive SoC in their iPhone, while optimizing iOS as much as possible to keep everything smooth even if it only is a dual core, while Samsung don't optimise their UI at all.
+Soupape50 because apple cheats ,apps on ios appears to have fully loaded on display ,but they arent ready to be usable yet for a few more seconds ,its a trick and ios does the exact same on its browser
I have 3 of these 4 phones, don't have the S7 yet. From personal experience, the real-life differences in speed between 6s+ and 6p or Moto Pure are minimal, but they are there. And as apps grow in size and complexity, those minimal differences may become larger. Also, stop saying it's because of screen resolution. The manufacturers chose to forego speed and battery life to give you more pixels that are meaningless to your phone experience. If a car is slower and uses more gas because you wanted a giant steel frame, well then, it's slower and uses more gas because you wanted the giant steel frame.
+Eduardo Pelaez I personally can't see the differences in resolution so for me it's only a disadvantage. I can however see that the colors on the S6/7's display are better. I would like Apple to keep the resolution the same on the 7s but switch to amoled.
+drsnowmon ha fastest phone??!!! BULLSHIT I tested my iPhone 6s Plus with a Gs7 at the AT&T store. Don't go there. I'll even link a video if you want????!! Hhaa
For the S7, Can you Turn off app optimization under battery option and use the multitasking button instead of home button to switch task and time again?
I just returned my s7 edge. The overheating issue is very annoying. Just browsing the web and watch a RUclips video and the phone get uncomfortably hot! It's a shame cuz I really liked the phone.
Snapdragon might be garbage. You know the issue don't you? you can not deny it. and I don't have any problems with my note edge at all. So i threw away my garbage iphone without any concern.
Glad I saw this! I almost joined the hype and switched from iPhone 6 Plus to S7E or the N6P. The reason why I switched to Apple years ago was because of the lagging. I thought with the S7E that would be fixed, guess not. The overheating is a concern for me, I've never had that happen with my iPhone. I know most say the N6P is better than all and that it doesn't lag, but that camera on it definitely doesn't beat the S7E. Really seems you'll never get the WHOLE perfect package with any of these phones. I wanted to switch because I'm tired of feeling like I'm on lockdown with my iP. Very restricting with customization and I like making my phone the way I want it, fully, but being able to make my phone all cute and whatnot isn't worth switching for a phone that'll burn it's battery, lag, or for a subpar camera. Thanks for the video, saved me $800!
+Boricuahhh First, that difference can not be call lagging! Try a S3 and you will see what lagging is. This is called being a little bit slower. Second , you never experience overheating with your iphone? Really? Try to run an app that pushes just a little bit the phone, and then let me know.
Good info about the S7 Edge and the Snapdragon 820. Nice to know another Qualcomm SoC is having overheating issues. I was so excited about my GS7E arriving soon too. Your video is the first to mention heat as an issue, I'm curious to see how things work under everyday use.
+BigMarks thanks. Tests look pretty good but I'm a little disappointed in the discovery of more of that beloved Samsung stutter. I actually didn't have much trouble with my GS6 but I just couldn't hang with the battery life. My LG V10 has been great, we'll see if the GS7E is worthy of becoming my daily driver.
The only reason it wins here is because an image of the most recently closed window in the app is displayed upon opening it, and then it takes a moment to load, which isn't taken into account here.
+HermosaBeachJoe I've said that for years. I hate Android for that very reason, but I can't justify paying nearly $1,000 for a 128GB 6S Plus. Apple comes off like jerks for restricting iOS to only their devices but it truly helps them keep things moving along in a way that Android will never be able to do - if they could have they would have already.
+Jerome Ortega Oh shit man, didn't mean to question your integrity 😂. I'm just an unabashed android fanboy looking to make an excuse for Android in this case.
Most of the difference between platforms is probably just because of how long a delay there is on the title page. That is a why two very fast phones on the same platform clock in around the same 2 seconds.
noww.. what?! we are buying phone for the miliseconds faster opening app? Wow!!! we are neglected the waterproof, sd card slot, camera and ecetra.. wow! nice play there!
+Luke Ameen never need either a sd card slot, because 64gb are enough, never been stupid let fall my phone in water but hey. that a great invations sd cards, best data storge for thiefs. ones they get it, the get it all... And you know what? For a 8 or 4 core with 4gb ram this perfomance was shit.
+Van Farnel Accidents happen, I don't think the average person just drops their phone in water because they're stupid. One of my phones fell out of my back pocket into the toilet once. Guess what? It was an accident :-/.
Dottys Corner i use phones since the year 1999. Never had any phone broken by accident, guess what i can look after it. because i know how much money if paid for it...
I think this video is a good example of how Samsung needs to work on their software optimization and RAM management. I'm not trying to crap on the phone or anything.
+Rylan Jeffrey Got an S7. Runs just as fast as my friend's iPhone 6s. Honestly, Samsung adds in that kind of power to balance out the amount of power Android uses up in general. iOS doesn't eat up that much power. Nevertheless, there are tradeoffs. Android does more than what a jailbroken iPhone can ever dream of doing. But for the simple-minded who are scared to be adventurous, there's always iOS
Samsung might have fast boot (HTC does), which when you shutdown it's more like hibernation and when you boot it is not a clean session independently if you leave it 25 minutes off or days. Possibly this was the issue, with a restart it clears the session on HTC. Unsure if Samsung has this but it is possible.
Meh, there's pros and cons. iPhone seems to perform the best right now, but S7 has cool features like SD card slot, waterproofing, curved screens, etc. I think you can get different phones for different reasons.
huh!? wireless charging! dual pixels! low ligh5 camera! waterproof! VR! beautiful edges! Amazing display! these features already put your iphone on the ground! Samsung is far more superior than apple! #teamsamsung #teamandroid!
Apple is a close ecosystem, and everything is designed to work with one ios revision, hardware and software. Android is an open system.. I did exactly the same test with my S6, no restart before, with Spotify playing behind, downloading asphalt 8 during this time and launch it, the chronometer still running... Your S7 have a problem or my s6 is blessed by the gods?
Seriously SAMSUNG, if you do not know how to tinker with Android OS Just leave it as is... people are buying your phone for your hardware yet no one likes your touchwiz I bet LG G5 SD820 wont have this issue, just like how SD808 LG G4 was able to perform better than Galaxy S6 smh...
+John Moon Everyone who really looks into what Smartphone to buy knows, but Samsung was always about pushing the most money down the advertisement road so they catch the 80% of idiots who don't do any research on the stuff they buy
Seems like Touchwiz aggressive automatic closing is still there. I upgraded my S6 to Note 5 wishing that the force close issue I had with the S6 would go away... It did not. The Note 5 with all of its 4GB of ram still force closes apps. I preordered S7 Edge, but if it's still has the aggressive force closing, this probably would be my last Samsung device. The Chinese brands are getting enticing more and more from value and features.
+Michael Adhi Nugroho There is no way to disable this? I preordered an S7 but now rethinking it. That being said, I chose the S7 over the edge for its form factor & price...
+Albert there's no way, it's just the way Samsung design the UI. I also had used LG G4 in a very short while (2 weeks). Because of random stuttering I experienced I changed to S6. However on the G4, I never had any apps force closing. Lucky Samsung fans are plentiful and doesn't really understands the technical issues. I can just sell it down the line with its value intact.
finally a video in which they don't say android in using QHD display so cpu has to push more pixel..blah blah blah.WHo needs the fucking octa core processor if it can't handle more pixel. Nicely said. (Y)
If the device has a better screen, more pixels, and a bigger ppi then in turn will be slower. In different terms... if the s7 edge had the 6s screen then Samsung would win by far.
Also Google makes the operating system (marshmallow and lollipop etc.) so Samsung has to try to build off of it. Making it harder to build a better phone.
+Yunik Maharjan the cpu is probably affected very little by the resolution of the display its more the gpu. and its probably not the processor just touch wiz and they need to iron some things out with android 6
Dan K yeahh right.. performance ? Of what? Opening app faster in miliseconds? Ohhh let me guess.. a better camera ( general wisely not being to precise in specs)?.. Waterproof? Fast charging? Orrr... this one might be correct! A BETTER BATTERY LIFE? HUH?
Luke Ameen This is a speed test. All the Android flagships lost. It's one company against hundreds of Android manufacturers and not a single Android manufacturer can match Apple for speed. It's a joke and the joke is on fandroids who think higher = better.
SD820 supposedly 40% faster CPU and GPU compared to SD810 in the Nexus 6p. At the same time, the 6p only comes in 2 seconds after the Galaxy. I wonder if this is due to touchwiz or not, and I am eager to see how the G5 will compare to those 2 phones considering the good history of LG when it comes to optimizing the software to the SOC.
+customx5 Your original comment is calling that kid a moron and uneducated based on his opinion on apple? and aswell, what gives you information on which company I like more?
I have a Galaxy S5. It almost never over heats. Never an issue. And I'm a heavy user of this phone and use it for everything. But then I'm also rocking nova launcher because it just makes the phone easier and more convenient to use. I've managed to minimize my home screens down to just one. As such, I can do anything that an iPhone can do due to less searching and less tapping. Now if only the keyboard, SwiftKey, was any good....
Great speed test.Really shows the power and longevity of the iPhone 6s Plus.

i'll stick to my S4 😂
There are other Android alternatives... But since you're coming from an iPhone I'd suggest staying there...

Returned MY S7 Edge. It got WAY to hot just playing a simple game like Clash of Clans. Got an iPhone 6S Plus now. Ive never owned an iPhone before but I love it now! Never gets extremely hot and VERY fast!!
how in the hell did you get and return a s7 and it hasn't even been released yet?
+David S. You'll never look back either! A9 is a beast and super efficient.
Omg the iPhone is and feels faster! 3d touch is what brought me over to iphone
Ouch! I'd never own a Samsung device for these very reasons. That lag was terrifying for a phone that just released. Ouch!
No shit
+Jay Lewis But is not the ''device'' reason, it's a software reason as well ;), when you going to turn off all apps not just minimalized it could be same or even better ;)
LOL...log the fuck off!
Sounds just like the experience I had with the S6 and S6 edge.. It drove me crazy.. I was so much happier with the 6P
+iTalkTech Dude when root comes out, overclock it and do a speed test. Would like to see that!
+Ayush Saha lol, wouldn't be fair though.
+Ayush Saha Overclocking something like a Snapdragon 820 would be incredibly stupid, it also might not actually improve performance by any noticeable margin.
What how. The snap dragon is actually pretty OC friendly.
No Ram has been fixed I dont know what you are talking about.
So, what this video really shows is that you can get comparable performance in the 6P and X Pure, and save $300-$400 over the S7 and iPhone. Nice!
Nice job 👍🏼✌🏼️
+Jerome Ortega the s7 mybe has the snapdragon 820 not samsung processor
+Suhayb Aljahwari true
+duc anh duong
1440p Vs 750p. I'm shocked the iPhone doesn't have a much better lead in speed. Just imagine how fast Android phones would be, if they were still pushing around a measly 326 pixels. lol
+Johan Ekblom iPhone 6 Plus and 6s plus both have a native resolution of 2208x1242 which is then down- scaled to the 1080 screen resolution.
+Jay Lewis why do you care about the resolution when this test is focusing on speed
i have an S7 Edge just did kinda the same thing with slightly different apps but my stopwatch didnt stop? 🤔
This is exactly why I switched to iPhone. Android doesn't even hold its place in my heart like it used to I turned in my S7 Edge for a 6S Plus and I don't regret my decision.
Rich
Kadjar damn dude, coming in too hot.
The amount of dislikes for a legitimate video is incredible
just a lot of butthurt Samsung fan boys upset that their 2016 flagship can't keep up with a 2015 smartphone.
+Moritzitrone video is an unfair test
***** why?
Moritzitrone because no one opens and closes apps like that .in other normal tests the s7 wins
+girlsdrinkfeck the s7 never wins, look at the speed tests
Well said!!!👍👍
This is the EXACT video I was after today. You are a boss mate.
For a $400 phone, Moto X PE pretty good.
+Zeronorhero I love my Moto X PE. I plan on letting it take me through 2016 honestly.
+Jerome Ortega which is smoother between these phones?and iphone between htc m9?
+Marco Battaglia iPhone always smooth.
+Arthur Vega same here, maybe even halfway through 2017.
+Jerome Ortega the song at 0:53 plz, thanks.
I'm actually impressed there's a reviewer out there who cares about consistent, statistical results. Good job and don't mind the dislikes.
lmao all these dislikes. people get so defensive over such stupid things.
What's up with those iPhone? The spec sheets is not doing them justice
+Danny Aston Fast storage.
+Simon Lévesque Mostly storage, but the stupid fast single threaded performance helps quite a bit too.
we need something new, I'm talking about mew OS, but sorry..Blackberry and Windows are never been on the list ✌
You cant compare Android with ios. Its like comparing PC and console. While console is better at doing what they build for, a PC can do a lot more and more versatile.
I totally agree!
+nazrin asraf hahahahaha!!!!!
It's unfair to compare a high-end Apple to a crappy Android, but reading about these Samsung shenanigans (that you don't know which CPU you're getting when you buy a S7) and the fact that I have to root the phone to remove Samsung's hideous theme (which is shameful for the 'best', most expensive phone on the market) is making my decision a little easier.
make sure the apps are fully loaded on the iPhone, it loads a still, unresponsive image first to give the illusion it has loaded faster.
Pushing out to a 1440 screen vs 1080 old outdated screen. I'll take that extra 1 second (if even) any day.
Not to mention that those Apps were optimized for iOS (Apple only) and the Apps on Android are not designed for a singel device (Universal)
+Isaax
1:42 for the 2015 iPhone 6s +
2:00 for the brand new -and with heat issues- S7 Edge
2:02 for the Nexus 6P
2:16 for Moto X Pure...
Excellent video man. Cant believe ive never seen your vids before.
Much faster than my 2012 xperia neo, about 12 hours faster
LOL
lmfao.. that was pretty savage lol
What about clearing the cache on the Samsung S7? Power off then power on but keep holding the power button and hold volume up button and hold the home button as it boots then whenever the Android robot logo appears let go of all the buttons. Use volume to navigate up and down and use the power button to Enter/confirm/select.
+David Hughes he said in the beginning that he factory reset all of them.
+ig88b1 I know but at the end when he is testing he said he turned it off and sit but not factory reset again.
Qualcomm is not looking to good right now
+Jonathan Rivera Again
Overall their cpu's are much better than apple's but, because of the operating system (android is way less effective than iOS) ios devices are faster
+Afik Lahav The A9 SoC in the 6S/6S Plus is actually really good and better than anything else out there in production right now.
+TheImmortalness In terms of CPU power that is simply false, but iOS is way more optimized though so actual performance is about the same CPU wise.
What the iPhone excels at is the great internal storage speeds and the top of the line PowerVR GPUs built into the A-series chipsets.
www.anandtech.com/show/9686/the-apple-iphone-6s-and-iphone-6s-plus-review/15
"On the SoC side, it’s pretty safe to say that the A9 SoC is the best SoC in any phone today." (notice i said SoC in my previous comment. P.S show me where the A9's CPU is beaten by another chip that was released at the same time).
not sure what you did but I can't get my timer to act like yours. mine stays in the notification panel no matter how many apps I open.
The timer in the clock app is also buggy on the s6 edge .Sometimes it never goes off and sometimes it just resets itself.
+Dan K How is your screen's resolution meaningless to your phone's experience?
+Eduardo Pelaez I personally can't see the differences in resolution so for me it's only a disadvantage. I can however see that the colors on the S6/7's display are better. I would like Apple to keep the resolution the same on the 7s but switch to amoled.
Eduardo Pelaez after a certain resolution, it just becomes a pissing contest. Your eyes can't see a difference.
Dan K interesting... What's the threshold?
Eduardo Pelaez Apple used to claim 300ppi at a usage distance. I personally think it depends on the user so you have to see for yourself.
did you try downloading the google clock and disable the samsung clock
Or maybe you have a bad unit, in my S7 edge I don't have those issues. You may also consider trying anther chronograph app. Good test though.
+BigMarks nah, cause mine is great!
+BigMarks yes for real. I got so disappointed to be honest cuz I really liked the phone.
+Khallil Bouada Prove it with video.
+Ebedieene thank you.
Snapdragon might be garbage. You know the issue don't you? you can not deny it. and I don't have any problems with my note edge at all. So i threw away my garbage iphone without any concern.
You've angered the Samsung fanboys! Team Nexus is here to support you through !
Waiting for Heat ,Battery and Sound Test!!!
+Boricuahhh
First, that difference can not be call lagging! Try a S3 and you will see what lagging is. This is called being a little bit slower.
Second , you never experience overheating with your iphone? Really? Try to run an app that pushes just a little bit the phone, and then let me know.
+Luís Rodrigues Lol I have.
This is why I avoid Samsung like the plague.
+jerryx2000 no idea what you're saying. I have a Nexus 6P.
+jerryx2000 you assume all Indians follow this dowry system ?
+jerryx2000 is your mind so small that you think all brown people are Indian? Bigoted - it's an English word ask your mum what that means.
+Rafee Shahin jerry is just mad cos he didn't get a dowry when he married his sister/ mother at their shotgun wedding
+girlsdrinkfeck you can't seem to afford good grammar.
My LG V10 has been great, we'll see if the GS7E is worthy of becoming my daily driver.
your s7 is version snapdragon 820??
exynos should be faster
+MangKolokoy333 i read different..at some tasks but not all
Well this put a damper in my mood -.- just ordered it yesterday.
Nothing can beat optimized software. iOS will always be better
That is a why two very fast phones on the same platform clock in around the same 2 seconds.
hahah, and they still come up short. I never feel bad about my money spent with Apple. QUALITY.
+Eric Dejuan apple sucks ,no quality ,iphone bendgate ? loool ,only 2 gb ram ? ahahhaha ,only dual core , ahahaha ,screen not even hd , hahahah
lol... ok
The TouchWiz always set up to a default retention for 8 the background apps. That's not make sense for 2016, since S7 edge have 4G RAM.
To be fair for android devices you should put the iphone in power saving mode they might get a chance :D
Is this a production model or a testing one?
noww.. what?! we are buying phone for the miliseconds faster opening app? Wow!!! we are neglected the waterproof, sd card slot, camera and ecetra.. wow! nice play there!
probably the smartest comment on this whole video
+Luke Ameen The waterproof alone is worth a shit ton of money. I myself would probably pay $60 just to drop it in a bucket of water at a party.
Can you compare the international Exynos 8890 powered S7 variant?
It's not the speed the keeps me on Android, it's the fact that I have options. I'm not a fan of walled gardens.
I think this video is a good example of how Samsung needs to work on their software optimization and RAM management. I'm not trying to crap on the phone or anything.
damn Samsung back at it again with your powerful but still slow phones
Akhil Nagpal yeah but with an 820 it should be smoother than it is
+Rylan Jeffrey Got an S7.
I can only imagine how fast an S7 Edge would be with stock Android...
Why didn't you do the last test with the other phones tooo instead of only the s7edge?
S7 Result is great faster than google phone nice but can't compare with iphone (IOS) IOS is really fast
+Ebedieene Of course it can be.
In this case, iOS manages its processes correctly, resulting in higher performance compared to android.
Did I just see a old iPhone just flat out bitch slap the shit out of the best phones that android can offer?!?!
+IEWestSide lol! Fanboy is butt hurt.
apps on the s7 get disabled after so many apps have been opened to save ram
Iphone still a beast
+IEWestSide Agreed!
+IEWestSide yeah every fandroids saying
what the sound, pls ?
Androids will never be able to beat iphone
Never 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Meh, there's pros and cons. iPhone seems to perform the best right now, but S7 has cool features like SD card slot, waterproofing, curved screens, etc.
I think you can get different phones for different reasons.
Sammy always do the fancy work
But apple always performs
+Usman Raza great note but what does that have to do with this speed test video? The iPhone still won.
+bhanu singh January 1st 1970
huh!? wireless charging! dual pixels! low ligh5 camera! waterproof! VR! beautiful edges! Amazing display! these features already put your iphone on the ground! Samsung is far more superior than apple! #teamsamsung #teamandroid!
anyone knows the song at 0:53 plz, thanks.
Just plain and simple they can't touch or mess with apple booooy not matter how much they hate on apple they do the damn thing right damn it💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾☺️☺️
Apple is a close ecosystem, and everything is designed to work with one ios revision, hardware and software. Android is an open system.. Yea you trade off refined faux speed for a slower more personally selected system. Ios and Android are 2 completely different systems... For 2 completely differ users... No one is better then the other, .. All this bickering about who's is faster is awesome.. Bend gate, chip gate, antenna gate, the Internet provides lots of humor, thank you! Just Enjoy technology...
+tim star but i phones have inferior everything else .....
I did exactly the same test with my S6, no restart before, with Spotify playing behind, downloading asphalt 8 during this time and launch it, the chronometer still running... Your S7 have a problem or my s6 is blessed by the gods?
Seriously SAMSUNG, if you do not know how to tinker with Android OS
Just leave it as is... people are buying your phone for your hardware yet no one likes your touchwiz
I bet LG G5 SD820 wont have this issue, just like how SD808 LG G4 was able to perform
better than Galaxy S6
smh...
+John Moon Everyone who really looks into what Smartphone to buy knows, but Samsung was always about pushing the most money down the advertisement road so they catch the 80% of idiots who don't do any research on the stuff they buy
Speak for yourself. I do enjoy Touchwiz's features.
In different terms... if the s7 edge had the 6s screen then Samsung would win by
far.
Also Google makes the operating system (marshmallow and lollipop etc.) so Samsung has to try to build off of it. Making it harder to build a better phone.
+Billy Bob see, you don't understand this at all. I mean all android users don't understand it at all.. Please read the comment again and reply....
+Billy Bob but it also has 2 times the amount of RAM and 8 fucking cores processor. So your argument is by default stupid
+Yunik Maharjan the cpu is probably affected very little by the resolution of the display its more the gpu. and its probably not the processor just touch wiz and they need to iron some things out with android 6
I had the same type of issues with my Galaxy s5. It has to be a bug in that app that hasn't been addressed.
samsung always lags, the s6 did, and the s7 does aswell
+hvz what lag ? idiot ,s7 and s6 is smooth and fast as hell
Can you test how smooth the scrolling is? I still feel like Touchwiz scrolling is horrible.
iphone 2 ram samsung 4 ram
what are the results with Exynos's processes?
and ....when the iSheep realise the only phone that have 1080panel are iP6s+. huh!
He literally went over this at the end of the video..
Victor Jr. That the point.. I just saying the fact though..
+Luke Ameen the only ones that care are fandroids because they think that specs = performance. No, performance = performance.
Over 1000 people who don't like the truth!
Jerome ortega please tell me which software is best for editing and where can i get free music like yours for my video
But dat $60 iShite tho? Lel
+customx5 Urban Dictionary? really? FanDroid isn't an actual word.
Why is everybody in this thread a lvl99 autist
+customx5 Your original comment is calling that kid a moron and uneducated based on his opinion on apple? and aswell, what gives you information on which company I like more?
***** The iPhone is fast vecause of its storage. Other than that, processors are similar (in performance).
+Diogo João this has 232k veiws.
Gpu on the edge seems to be the issue per some tests I've seen.
I hale #APPLE
it hates you to😊
I have a Galaxy S5.
SAMSUNG FANBOYS TROLLING HERE
So.. What's up with the Galaxy s7?!?!.. Is there going to be a follow up on that?..
quem veio aki pelo tecmundo? kkkkkkkkkk
+leonardo vicente eu kkk
looks like s7 is overheating and closing apps?
iphone win AGAIN 😂️😂️😂️
Not necessarily
+Yanni Crisantos You can clearly see in the video that iPhone do in fact win.
+Ludvig Thor I own the Samsung galaxy s7 edge and have had no issues that this dude is having... my s7 beat the iPhone in this video by 10 seconds.
+Alvarito343 Doesn't justify the overpricing and the closed source and closed ecosystem.
+Yanni Crisantos I own both and I can assure you. Galaxy still lags I just sold mine the other day because of that issue( still main iPhone)
I think there is an issue with that particular unit you got ,I have seen nobody else complaing about that.
+Essam Hefni how many peeps you know did the same test?
Nexus or nothing!
Nice job, Jerome. What kind of frames are you wearing in the video?
why you didnt used the moto x force?
Just a curious question, with the s7 edge did you try to hard reset it? I have no idea why this would happen to be honest.
is the s7 snapdragon version because the Exynos is much faster it would keep up with the 6s
boot up speed test, but what about performance test?
