It is WILD that they are attempting to force the hand of the visitors to use Speedy Parking - on top of a multiple price tiered parking structure. Now you get to choose not only how much you're willing to pay for certain lots - but you get to choose how much you're willing to pay for access to a toll booth attendant.
This is the first time I'm hearing Yosimite Sam's boat ride was replaced. I was a 90s kid and loved going on that ride, but after learning it did not reopen after the flood, I assumed that it was getting replaced. Only made sense to do something "new" if the cost to refurbish it would be almost as much as a new ride.
I can’t imagine why they couldn’t fit the Yosemite Sam ride somewhere since it’s so small. I really wish they would get rid of the Twix themed cars on Pandemonium! And I hope they continue to repaint coasters. Also, I do not like this dino re-theme idea. They should just refurbish the antique cars.
I believe the Antique Cars will be completely rethemed this year. On all of the employee badges around the park, there is a Dino Off Road Adventure logo. I think they are reusing the dinosaurs and the cars from Six Flags New England, as their Antique Cars were rethemed to Dino Off Road Adventure last season. I could be wrong though.
Concur! No more Texas Chute out, or the green neon bracelets that lasted 24 hours or the fruit drinks in the plastic fruit bottles in the shape of the fruit.
Keep the Chaparral Antique Cars intact. It does need TLC, but the dinosaur and/or jeep safari idea doesn't fit into the park and needs to stay away. Invest that money into something meaningful.
Six Flags had a little phase around 2020 where they tried to make standardized ride entrance queues. You really noticed this at SFOG when they gave the same arch with a different sign to everything in Gotham City. Especially with Mindbender, everything else was exactly as it was before, but with a big black arch right at the queue entrance. I feel like I had seen a similar arch being put up around other parks. Kind of weird, but Kid Flash (in SFOG Gotham City) doesn't have the standard black arch. I think it's made of brick. Edit: Jersey Devil Coaster has a similar Arch. Kid Flash's arch is metal, but in a different style than everything else in Gotham City. Either way, the new sign around Shockwave worked for me. It was my first visit to the park a month ago, and I didn't get confused about the entrance precisely because I saw an arch.

Last time my adult daughter visited, we were able to ride the Spelunker cave ride.. We both enjoyed the makeover..i did really enjoy the little hints of things that were a callback to the original cave ride.
Thank you! I did some research and it looks like the towers are for 5G. Speelunker Cave was looking good yesterday. It was in better shape compared to when I rode last, which is a big plus.
Everytime I ride Pirates- I notice they turn off the music in the Speelunker section- which honestly makes it more creepy to guests. Glad it was on for your ride though! I know not a lot of people think they’re creepy (my boyfriend included) but I find them cute and endearing!
Dinosaurs are....a weird and interesting way to go, but I'll be happy after they do whatever they have to do to get the waterfall working once again on Chapperal Antique Cars. I probably won't care much about what they do to it, I just REALLY NEED to see that waterfall flowing!!! A dino safari car ride might be cool and different since all the antique car rides at all the parks within 300 miles of me all seem the same, basically. But, I will miss Chapperal Antique Cars because this one was my favorite of all the car rides. Those towers are definately not for cell phone service and look nothing like a cell phone service tower. Also, what is up with that hole behind the Majestic Theater, next to the Cheetos Popcorn Stand? You haven't given an update on that in a while. Me and other people were able to walk between Tweety's State Fair-is-wheel, Roller coaster coffee, and the blue bridge during this last Fright Fest. We actually walked thru it one early morning before the park opened, we were able to walk thru the back door of Roller Coaster Coffee, Bugs Bunny was completely open, and there was a chain before the blue bridge. I asked the security guard about how we were able to go around like we did even though the park wasn't open and if we were suppose to be on that side of the chain. He said Roller Coaster Coffee's back door was suppose to be locked. He asked if it was locked and I said no. He said we would have to go back around. I walk back thru and told the employees and he said he forgot to lock it. He locked it behind us as we came in. Also, the model coaster was broken at that time. I am SUPER EXCITED for Daffy Duck's Bucket Blasters to come back!
There has been a good amount of restroom remodeling over the last year. Gotham restrooms are currently being worked on. Boomtown and Tower restrooms have been remodeled.
Yeah I been noticing here in California Discovery Kingdom had a lot of lights and trees up but at all the animal shows they took down all the decorations so maybe it’s just a staffing problem
This park has been a dumpster fire for so long, that it's become a habit to do dumb stuff. If everyone has speedy parking, then it won't be speedy parking. I've never seen a preferred parking not be monitored, at any other park. There's a reason I've been to Fiesta Texas and Kings Island more times in them past two years, despite living 20 minutes away from OT.
This park looks sad. Even the interior of the shops look tired and boring. It's been a long time since I've been to a Six Flags park, but I don't remember any looking this bad. If this park is a good representation of today's Six Flags, I can certainly see why they've had problems.
If the World Cup comes here in 2026, do you think SF will do some massive investment. Also will you be doing a video on the Six Flags, Cedar Fair merger?
I do not think the World Cup will affect how Six Flags invests in their current state. I’ll eventually do a merger video. I’m kind of letting the situation simmer before I give my two cents since they’re still working on closing that deal.
I worked at Six Flags over Texas in the early 90's. The cave ride used to be Bugs Bunny/Looney tunes themed and still was in 2009. A few of the jobs on that ride was to sit behind the sets and watch guests via small holes to make sure people didn't get out of the boats. Whe you go on the ride you hear the characters say something once as your boat goes past. When your job is to watch guests from a behind a certain section you hear those characters saying that line over and over. I used to go home from work at this ride with "So, you want a Rangers badge do ya" over and over in my head. LOL
Last time I went to over texas judge Roy scream was SOOOO ROUGH I got a migraine after it it is a very old ride so I can understand that but I’m kinda glad it’s closed for now 😅
Yeah I had to drop my pass after they moved all my perks 1 tier above. The park is fun for standard year pass and how it was before these price hikes, but it's not Disneyland. It's a gas station with some Rollercoasters and that was okay it was priced accordingly. Now it's not

And thanks for mentioning the parking situation. It was exactly how you described it last week when we were there. It's always kind of a surprise when we get there - even if we have preferred parking as part of our membership.
I don’t imagine there will be any significant change to the cars if/when dinosaurs are introduced. They’d probably completely get rid of the current cars if they were to go electric. The parking situation is insane. I assume we will see changes come spring break when they’re creating massive backups onto the major highways with this new money grab.
@@AmusementSource Not only is it 2 general parking lanes, but the lane you entered doesn't go straight. You have to turn left into preferred parking which was blocked off OR immediately merge with the 1st speedy parking lane. You had a sign directly in front of you. How did you get in the preferred parking on the left side and was everyone allowed to park in that lot? I keep holding onto my VIP membership for the skips, food and parking and Six Flags is doing everything to take it away without officially taking it away. At this point I wish they would just eliminate the grandfathered membership rather than trying to play this game of chicken.

If the cars continue to be a workout to drive, then it doesn't matter what theming they use - my kids won't enjoy it Whatever they do in updating kids rides need to include more heat resistant materials. I know it gets hot in Texas, but having kid rides with seats and handles that are hot enough to burn is just irresponsible
I would really like to know why preferred parking is the closest parking arez to the entrance. It is in front of the disabled parking. Disabled parking should be the closest to the entrance.

I'm super bummed about the park's condition. The old Shock Wave sign is the better sign. We need an MAJOR update on Roaring Rapids, or just get rid of it. Not getting a Log Ride update should have been enough for me to cancel my membership. Just feels like the park is slowly dying.A new (real) ride every decade is not the way it should work. The merch stores look awful and the merch is still in that "generic" realm. I wish I could help get the park back on track. I wish there was something we could all do!

So at SF Magic Mt they are working on the new Solar system for the park and I noticed the same poles you showed maybe for cell service.
The last time we went to Sixflags (2014) the restrooms in most areas of the park were in terrible condition.

It’s my understanding that the cars will be replaced with “jeeps”. Six Flags New England has the same thing.
