  • #palantir ( #pltr stock ) is one of the most powerful AI companies in the world alongside #nvidia ( #nvda stock ) and Microsoft ( #msft stock ) because they make some of the most powerful AI platforms in the world -- even more powerful than #chatgpt by #openai . But with Palantir stock crashing by over 15% since their Q1 2024 earnings call, there's only one question left to ask: Is this the top for Palantir? Or is PLTR stock still one of the best stocks to buy now?

what you are calling proof is actually your interpretation not factual proof!
issue #1: U.S. commercial revenue growth sharply decelerated to 40% from 70% last quarter
growth outside the US is now epsilon
just to be clear, $PLTR is too expensive, shares are too diluted (equivalent to price inflation), insiders sells when the price goes up (while Alex in an interview blasted shorters, I wish to know what he thinks about that), they do to little buybacks (~500k is very too little). Better buying some other ticker with better probability to grow this year. Then, when things will looks better it would be still possible to buy $PLTR. I have a lot of $PLTR and I regret it when I compared the rest of my portfolio. Of course if you bought at price lower than $15, your good to hold.
Finally Alex should be cautious when he talks, insulting shorters (even if I hate the fact that shorting a company exists) like he did won't help. I can't put his words here coz moderation...
seriously wtf ? you don't talk (or care?) about technicals ? nor about options ? your not an investor you are a gambler!

Tesla is a bit complicated. I own both. Tesla has multiple giant opportunities ahead of them. We are on the cusp of Autonomy. (Don't listen to analysts, just watch FSD 12.3+ Videos on youtube) And we will see Robots a lot sooner and a lot more of them than people think. That said: Tesla is one of the most traded, most leveraged stocks in the market. If you can't deal with the swings and have the patience until the market finally gets it.... People are frustrated that Tesla STOCK (NOT THE COMPANY, THE STOCK) is no further than they were 3 years ago. I personally think that what happened in '19/'20 will happen again. Once the market realizes what kind of money a well executed Autonomy and Robotics Company can rake in, the Stock will shoot up. One huge Problem Tesla has at the moment is the Delaware Decision and the question whether Elon will stay involves in Tesla, if he can't get back to 25% voting rights.

I like CRWD better than PLTR, but I own both. If you're just starting, take the hassle out and stick half your money in the SPY 500 ETF. Earnings beats (EPS) and YoY growth. Get some stock picking services like Stansberry Research and HX Research. Unless you're a Finance person, don't just guess. Stay away from penny and putting a lot of your capital in small cap. TSLA will be fine over the long haul. Buy companies you believe in and hold.

    Got 800+ shares @around $8
    Selling 8 covered calls @ $40 for Jan/25
I’ve got about 30% of the premium in about a month.

The problem with Palantir is that their clients come from various industries and have differing requirements. It's challenging to train a model when the business requirements are wide-ranging. Ideally, you would want to identify companies with a more focused clientele. For example, Salesforce primarily handles sales data, which allows them to develop a model for a single use case. In contrast, Palantir operates more like a consulting business than a SaaS business. They can build custom solutions for each customer but are unable to develop a one-size-fits-all solution for most customers.
Additionally, if you want to make money with AI stocks, most of the profits are currently being made by semis and cloud providers because there's a race to build SOTA models. The application layer will follow, but it is at least two to three years away. Thus, your money can earn a higher return if you invest in companies like Nvidia, Amazon, Google, and Microsoft. You might also consider exploring data center equipment plays such as Vertiv and Arista Networks, which could yield better returns in this AI infrastructure upgrade cycle.

PE is pretty high but not historically for a somewhat speculative growth stock. Great medium term stock. No guarantees but I’m confident their AIP will gain network effects as businesses will be pressured to adopt. Competitors will learn how to maximize its value which hasn’t really been unlocked yet and as the platform expands and improves it will be a game changer for many many businesses of all sizes. It’s pretty exciting tbh.

But to answer your question. People are chasing the short term gains they saw over the last year, it’s now on more stable footing and anything but far exceeding earnings will spark sell offs but it’s fine pretty normal for stocks like this. Just gotta believe in the long term vision and their ability to execute on their strategy.

It, and other market forces moved the stock from 23 to under 21 during the specific days of the sales.
I personally think long term it is a keeper, and I am a long term buyer, but what is our DCA strategy?

I am still confused as to what Palantir's CEO meant by "self-pleasuring" in his recent earning report. Did anyone raise an eye brow to ponder what he meant by it? 🤔
Thank you, sir, for your video and deep dive on Palantir's recent quarterly earning report! 🙏🏻

No... I understand Dr. Karp COMPLETELY. I graduated high school as a 6'4" 250 pound guy that received attention from UCLA, Nebraska, and nearly every Football Program West of the Mississippi. I ended up putting myself through College and received a Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology and turned my back on football forever to help my family. He's probably TIRED of the skepticism, disbelief, "Armchair Technologists" and various prognosticators that only wish they were getting the results Palantir is. Who "needs" a poem writing platform? Hallmark?😂😂😂

I worked at a very large bank in the 2000's and I watched them spend 3 million dollars building and 'Intranet' that essentially allowed them to post the cafeteria menu online, and after 4 months nobody updated the menu......this is what Karp means by self pleasuring.

Can anyone explain why the market cap of Palantir seemingly increased from around 50B reported by googling the stock about a week ago, to now almost 100B, when the stock price has moved in the other direction? Is this real and if so how/why? Or is it an error in the way google finance reports market caps?

Still 17X EV/revenue and over 200X PE, so I would like to see higher growth rates. Rule of 40 is always quite high on software companies with high gross margins feeding down to operating margins, so I don't weight that so much. I am long PLTR but got in at much much lower levels.

This is why you need to make your own assessment . How I look at it is really impressive to have high growth, launch new services AIP and remain profitable at the same time. Technology usually takes years if not decades to reach that level of success . The fact they are profitable shows proof of concept . I'm up over 600% in the last 18 months. This is just my opinion. I think everyone should do their own research and fact check everything you hear . And always protect your capital

I believe Palantir provides so advanced solutions in AI that investors and stock analysts don’t realize what is really going on. AI is extremely complex tech that only few can figure the outcomes of major projects. It is a matter of unlimited breakthroughs, way beyond basic IT knowledge, what makes most of us totally disconnected of the reality. It simply is not mastered by all, actually the majority of all lacks the comprehension of the new reality that AI brings all together and just see obvious things like games, voices, searches and so on. Financial market is becoming a rule of science if you are really on to tech stocks. It is difficult for most of people to understand what Palantir delivers. Let’s wait and see.

PLTR. Valued at 45 billion market cap. Earning about 2.5 billion a year with fairly slow growth in absolute terms, not percentages. No idea of how big their TAM is since their services aren't clear. Given their growth rate and current revenues, their valuation should be closer to 20 billion or a 10 or 12 dollar stock price. Hype stocks like PLTR, NVDA, TSLA, and the like have whacky valuations because lots of demand for the stock regardless of fundamentals or actual worth. So you invest in them at your own risk when their valuations are high and hope you don't end up on the short end of the stick if a problem occurs.
