In Switzerland, all able bodied military age males are required to keep both a rifle and sidearm in case they are required for war as well as a relatively common gun culture that centers around leisure and sport.

Sorry, I dont see the sense in this except survival-and then u dont have this stuff with u how much does it cost u - reloading 1 shot -including powder shot wad and primer Lambro shells (greek stuff) cost just 5€(6USD) for 25 shots -thats just 20 cents (0,24 USD) a shot u probably cant beat that with reloading ur lifetime is wort more ... also most shells are made of cheap plastic and sheet steel so u cant reload it more than twice and meny you collect are just thrash
I have been reloading shot shells for over 30 years, it has saved me a lot of money. If you do a lot of upland game and waterfowl hunting, reloading can save you thousands of $$$. I just wish he would have emphasized shell inspection, wad pressure and possible problems and accidents that all avid shot shell reloaders have encountered. A good video !

You taught in a manner that I can and did learn something. I have had a load all II for 4 years and it's never been out of the box. I go hurt right after I ordered it and am just now getting things back to normal enough that I can start reloading with confidence and thanks to you and this video I feel confidant and ready.

Stall Sgt. BA, great video. Picked up lots of tips. I started reloading in 1967. Back then using over powder cards, cushion wads, and lead shot. Everything was about properly matching exactly the correct shell, powder,was column, amount of powder and shot, and the proper crimp, or, "Your GONA Blow Your Gun Up.",,,,seems a lot simpler now a days. We had to match powder,wads,shot, to high brass,low brass, plastic, or paper shells, brass or steel base. I used to shoot hundreds of shells a month, coming in from work and shooting in my back yard at clay pigeons. Never blew up a gun, but was always afraid that I would if I didn't follow loading data exactly as written. Glad to see all the improvements made since then. Started on a MEC 600 Jr.
Just bought a Load-All (20 gauge) after asking the company if I could load BB from the hopper, they confirming that's the max shot size the loader could handle. Thanks!

I am extremely grateful for your lesson and I will say you are the one who showed me how to use my shiny new Lee Load all II. Thank you. HOWEVER, every shotgun forum I have found with the salty old shotgun guys has nearly jumped out of their skin to say: "DO NOT LOAD BBs INTO YOUR SHOTSHELLS, IT WILL DAMAGE YOUR GUN". BBs are harder than lead and will score your barrel. They also claim that BBs are lighter and will not fly right anyway. ...or so these guys say.

Never touched a gun, literally seen 4 guns in my life, two pistols I couldn't recognize which were in holsters and two MP5's. Yet...I still thoroughly enjoyed watching this. It's like those rusty tool reconstruction videos.

I bought and tried a Lee Loadall like yours way back in the early eighties. I’m glad I saw your video because I totally missed the size ring. I was a young man, is my only excuse. I don’t know if it wasn’t included or I just overlooked it, but I certainly needed it! I couldn’t get them to work in my pump, so I had to shoot them in an old double. I’ll dig that old loaded out again and give it another try. Thanks!
Travis Thacker glad you provided a reason I didn’t use a size ring! It might not have been there. I agree that larger bore shotguns can be tiresome on recoil. The truth is, I don’t shoot a lot at game. As a farmer, I’ve dispatched more pests than game birds with a shotgun, mostly because where I live in west Texas, we’ve had quite a few dry years in the past 20 and I didn’t have the heart to shoot some of the few quail I saw. I was really thrilled to see them bounce back the way they have a couple of years ago. I didn’t think they could as well as they have!
Damn those shells look good. In my head I thought they would look all mangled and shit after being reloaded, but those look good and proper. I'm considering buying a press and powder and hoping that primers will be available again in the future. Thanks for showing me how that works.

My first firearms experience. 13 years old. Our next door neighbor was going to go skeet/trap shooting and asked if I wanted to go. Surprisingly my parents said yes. They were firearms owners but not "firearms people" So dad handed me his Winchester auto 12ga (don't remember the model as it's long gone) and the neighbor and I took it apart, cleaned and oiled it, and then after that we spent a few hours reloading shotgun shells. That was a long time ago. Purchased my first rifle a few years later at 18 and have been an enthusiast ever since. I wish my parents hadn't sold their shotguns. I'd love to have Dad's 12ga or my mom's Remington. Oh well. Anyways thanks for posting this video that stirred up that memory :)
I use to make them when I was a student and couldn’t afford a new box every time but I used old fashion orange juice mechanics that you press and squeeze one with iron made and use to do all that with hand cool stuff brought my memory back thanks for that

This is a long one, my apologies in advance 🙏 I was having a talk with my Uncle earlier today, it had started out pretty casual/normal, but as is usually the case the topic turned over to Weapons/Survival. He is a Military Veteran who served in the Marines and I on the other hand am a Firearm/Weapons and Survival Enthusiast and I also to consider myself a D-Day Prepper... .. .. I digress. Anyways, during our conversation he mentioned that spent Shotgun Shells can be reloaded and I can't recall ever knowing that was a thing. @@StepOneSurvival Might be dependent on store. Was in Florida a little under 2 weeks ago and the closest Walmart to me had ammo but no guns or gun cases. The Walmart closest to the public shooting range had pretty much everything except some cartridges. A Walmart somewhere in the middle had some guns and ammo but no cases. However I heard that Walmarts are putting their guns and ammo away in case of looting following the election.

See I shoot trap and sporting clays (I’m only 14) but I’ve thought about reloading shells but just never have this video shows how easy it is so I’ll have to buy a reloader now. Also what is a good reloader but not to expensive
Reloading is very therapeutic! I load many steel shot loads as well. I have no idea how heavy you are loading those shells, but just so you know, steel shot shells do produce a great deal of pressure. Loading a hot Remington gun club 2 3/4 hull that makes 10,500 psi and taking that exact same recipe and loading a Winchester AA 2 3/4 hull would make around 13,000 psi. Pressure specs for a 2 3/4 shell should never go above 11,000 psi. That's what all 3" and under chambered barrels are built to handle. If you want to dial in your loads and see exactly what your getting, I have a few loading manuals that I could recommend to you. Nothing more satisfying then smashing waterfowl with home loads!!! Good luck!
Preston Schultz I’m trying to load in my load all 2, Winchester AA 2 3/4” shells, with longshot. There charge table sheet does not list longshot. How do I figure out how much powder to use with each shot?
@@tannerman123107 are you loading steel? Or lead? Steel and led react very differently to powders so if you load 1oz of both shot types, your pressure's will change drastically.

Great video! Loaded thousands through a Lee myself when I was young. We loaded for a local trap range. Worked like a charm.

My first firearms experience. 13 years old. Our next door neighbor was going to go skeet/trap shooting and asked if I wanted to go. Surprisingly my parents said yes. They were firearms owners but not "firearms people" So dad handed me his Winchester auto 12ga (don't remember the model as it's long gone) and the neighbor and I took it apart, cleaned and oiled it, and then after that we spent a few hours reloading shotgun shells. That was a long time ago. Purchased my first rifle a few years later at 18 and have been an enthusiast ever since. I wish my parents hadn't sold their shotguns. I'd love to have Dad's 12ga or my mom's Remington. Oh well.

I use to make them when I was a student and couldn’t afford a new box every time but I used old fashion orange juice mechanics that you press and squeeze one with iron made and use to do all that with hand cool stuff brought my memory back thanks for that
I have watched and re-watched this video a few times man. I do plan on buying one of these to reload my 12. Locally high brass #6 price per box jumped up to $18.25 per box of 25. Crazy.
My MEC 9000 is the best loader I've ever had. Thing can load hundreds of shells in such a short time. Worth its weight in gold.

I was having a talk with my Uncle earlier today, it had started out pretty casual/normal, but as is usually the case the topic turned over to Weapons/Survival. He is a Military Veteran who served in the Marines and I on the other hand am a Firearm/Weapons and Survival Enthusiast and I also to consider myself a D-Day Prepper... .. .. I digress. Anyways, during our conversation he mentioned that spent Shotgun Shells can be reloaded and I can't recall ever knowing that was a thing. So now here I am gaining more information that I hope I'll never need to use.

Thank you Sgt. I was having an issue with not be able to seat the wades in the 2-3/4 shells then I went over your video again and realized I had to lower the fitting down, because it came for the 3 in shells installed. Problem solved Sir. THANKS

@@StepOneSurvival Might be dependent on store. Was in Florida a little under 2 weeks ago and the closest Walmart to me had ammo but no guns or gun cases. The Walmart closest to the public shooting range had pretty much everything except some cartridges. A Walmart somewhere in the middle had some guns and ammo but no cases. However I heard that Walmarts are putting their guns and ammo away in case of looting following the election.

See I shoot trap and sporting clays (I’m only 14) but I’ve thought about reloading shells but just never have this video shows how easy it is so I’ll have to buy a reloader now. Also what is a good reloader but not to expensive
Reloading is very therapeutic! I load many steel shot loads as well. I have no idea how heavy you are loading those shells, but just so you know, steel shot shells do produce a great deal of pressure. Loading a hot Remington gun club 2 3/4 hull that makes 10,500 psi and taking that exact same recipe and loading a Winchester AA 2 3/4 hull would make around 13,000 psi. Pressure specs for a 2 3/4 shell should never go above 11,000 psi. That's what all 3" and under chambered barrels are built to handle. If you want to dial in your loads and see exactly what your getting, I have a few loading manuals that I could recommend to you. Nothing more satisfying then smashing waterfowl with home loads!!! Good luck!
Preston Schultz I’m trying to load in my load all 2, Winchester AA 2 3/4” shells, with longshot. There charge table sheet does not list longshot. How do I figure out how much powder to use with each shot?
@@tannerman123107 are you loading steel? Or lead? Steel and led react very differently to powders so if you load 1oz of both shot types, your pressure's will change drastically.

I’m assuming you are asking what type of powder he’s using. That should be smokeless powder which is what 99% of guns use nowadays.
