    I've had the Polestar 1 & 2 each for a weekend and was really impressed by both cars. The Polestar 1 is incredible and, though it can come off as "plain" in some ways for the price point, it absolutely drives fantastic and gets enough looks and attention at the valet stand. Plus, the 4 cylinder turbo engine is crazy when it revs and power with the hybrid is more than enough to enjoy

    • @markmedley6849

      I think they are sort of plain as well. They do have a contemporary design, but the model Y beats it on range and speed. I think in a year or two they will be on par. I have a XC40 petrol and it's just okay. I love the Polestar 3 so far.

I didn't catch this from other RUclips reviews of the P3, and this puts me more at ease about this vehicle (which I like a lot and am considering buying, despite the Tesla-like cheap-looking computer screens and lack of physical buttons/dials inside).

    • @Dvdshake
      @Dvdshake Год назад +1

      I think it also has to do with the cars being designed in Sweden. There's probably a greater emphasis on its practically in colder, icy environments where the handles could potentially freeze up.

    • @stevenpeeterskoradin476
      @stevenpeeterskoradin476 Год назад

      @@autogefuehl I found the handles a bit weird. The swing out a lot with no resistance at all, so at first I thought the car was locked. I really dislike the floating style screens. It looks aftermarket. Like bolted on. It's so much more luxurious to design the dash around the screen, a la Tesla back when they were using portrait style screens. Even the announced 2024 Range Rovet Velar does it better. The Polestar 2 was good. Still floating but this screen is bigger and you can tell it really floats. The new Volvo interiors we see here are far from the only offender, but I'd rather the screen be integrated into the dash then sit on top of it.

    Would be interesting to watch your review after driving it. Beautiful design. But personally don’t like the decision to use the Tesla-style stalk layouts where signal and wiper are all cramped into the L stalk and gear shifter on R stalk. Panoramic glass roof with no retractable shade is also not practical for sunny climate countries. Porsche’s interior layout for Taycan is the best balance between form and function

    I like it. A lot. Volvo got me because of those Chris Hemsworth headlights. Yes, an association with comic books sold me on Volvo. That's all it takes. If you're reading, Volvo, dont ever deviate from mojinir headlights, unless you have a performance pack that upgrades to Stormbreaker.

    Thomas, why do they have the charging port on the driver side? If we consider that street chargers in Europe are on the passenger side, this makes no sense? Can you ask this question to EV designers the next time you have the chance?

    capacitive touch on the steering wheel. And now you've immediatly lost a ton of customers. Everybody, literally everybody hates this. And it is a function which would use constantly, so it annoys you constantly
