Koyori has confirmed that the Shuffle Medley was never going to be yearly but was supposed to be just a one time thing in 2023, the fact that it happened at all in 2024 was just a miracle. So try not to think of it as a negative this year but a positive last year.

I stayed up to watch the whole thing (I'd usually wait until the next day and watch the VOD) so I could catch the Shuffle Medley. :( Was the thing I was looking forward to the most, and I'd been waiting for it all year! And judging by all the comments during live chat, and the tweet replies, it seems I'm not alone in that. Guess Cover kind of created a monster when they repeated the Shuffle Medley a second time -- two times running isn't enough to establish a pattern, but it certainly is enough to strongly suggest one, and I, like so many others, really assumed it to be a sure thing! There was so much good material for a Shuffle Medley 2025, too -- I had visions of Biboo performing as Kaela, Kaela performing as Kronii, Kronii performing as Mumei, and Mumei performing as Fauna as a sendoff. How awesome would that have been?!

See my above comment in this thread for an example of a chain that's never happened, for instance, but which would've been super cool to see -- and which can never happen anymore, now that Fauna's graduating. Besides which, part of the appeal is the fanservice aspect. Not in the naughty sense, but in the let's-see-how-many-references-and-injokes-they-can-pack-into-8-minutes sense. There was so much golden opportunity for that, especially with ID3, Advent, and ReGloss all having 3D now.
For me that Yagoo mech was a huge miss. I'm all for some Best Girl representation, but it was so in-your-face that it distracted from the talents' actual performances. I would have preferred if those resources would have gone towards another Shuffle Medley instead. That was the main reason I watched it live...
