Sylosis - Worship Decay (Guitar Solo Cover)

Sylosis dropped a surprise single yesterday, and it absolutely rips! Had to get right to learning Josh Middleton's solo from it. Nice melodic phrases and really interesting intervallic ideas in this one! Of course, in true Josh Middleton fashion, there's a brutal shred lick with some inhumanly precise alternate picking-thankfully, he decided to keep this one playable for normal people like me haha. The trickiest part was probably transitioning into the tapping lick, which I did by ending the descending run with a few legato notes. Really clever tapping pattern, too.
I wish this single were part of a full album, but unfortunately it seems to just be standalone. Hopefully the Sylosis boys have more new tunes on the way soon!

For instance even though this one isn’t written by you, the tapping thing is interesting. I would like to learn the theory behind it and the techniques behind it
