Same here. I heard After Lifeless Years for the first time and was fuckin blown away! Josh is easily one of my favorite riff machines of this age
To Build a Tomb from Dormant Heart is one of my favourites. But they really don’t have a bad song, in my opinion.

Thank you for letting me know the tuning! I thought that’s what it was but I wasn’t sure lol. My ear isn’t great when it comes to that sort of thing lol.
And every album prior was in E standard
Josh Middleton has been a huge influence in my guitar playing since I discovered syslosis at the beginning of 2010. He might not play at technical stuff in architects, but I still like it. He’s definitely one of my favorite guitarists. Who needs drop tuning, when you can be this heavy in E standard
They don’t play in E standard, they play in D standard.
@@reducedtoatoms3973 yes the new album is in D other than that its all in E standard except Supreme Opressor which is Drop D
and also Casting Shadows is Drop D, but for example the song Oath of Silience is later made in E standard on their first proper album Conclusion of an Age and originally its from Casting Shadows....

finally got the jm2, anyone looking for a straight up solid metal guitar, there ya go, if you cant quite afford an e2 but want alittle more than a 'standard' ltd, this guitar sits right in the middle. its very lively sounding, very pleasing, a bit different but sleek as hell.
