You can really tell how much Wayne looks up to Colin. I really love both of these guys - how warm and modest they are both. And, of course, how funny!!
Colin seems like such a humble and overall great guy. I wish all of these guys did more in the entertainment world than they ended up doing but it's all good we have have the show to remember them by.
"Who turned out, years later, to be my wife." For some reason, the way he put that made me smile. I love this guy! He seems so humble and nice to talk to, I wish I could meet him!
wOW colin is such a sweetheart. Who would've ever thought? i love him even more after this interview. and much respect to do improv as a job when it gets him nervous everytime.
When Colin says Luke is always changing he really wasn't kidding. 🙂 Seriously, that's a really nice interview. Colin, as well as being a great comedian, comes across as such a nice person and a wonderful father. Lovely to watch.
Colin Mochrie always seems like a Great Gentleman and I feel he is a highly under-rated actor. He has talent and ability and yet its the so called 'stars' that get all the attention and make the big money.
i love how wayne's so honest about it mid-way through the show. you can tell how they're talking to each other differently than they would have if they were on whose line
Colin: Although there's no physical danger. Wayne: Right, there's no death involved. *Recalls the scene where Colin stuck a flamethrower in Ryan's mouth*
Awww the way he describes being on Whose Line is so cute. Sounds like he really enjoyed it. Wayne is sexy. Aw that's so cute Colin got his first laugh and said "That's it. This is what I wanna do for the rest of my life." :) "People, it's a very noble profession." XD So sweet how he says Ryan was a "major force in his life" and also how he talks about his son. What a kind, genius, humble, gentleman-like man. Love him.
this is so cool to see. I grew up watching whose line and loving it, then years later I was lucky to go to highschool with Colin's son Luke. Very nice guy!
Colin Mochrie and I have a lot much in common...We're both really shy, we both love improv, and we both got into acting in the same way. no joke. He's like my role model. You're awesome, Colin!!!!!!
I liked this video before I even watched it. Colin is the single best thing to EVER come out of Scotland. (I'm not dissing Scotland, I'm saying that HE'S THAT GOOD!!)
Wayne Brady has a show in Las Vegas. I'm from Las Vegas and I used to work at a fast food restaurant called El Pollo Loco. While I was working Wayne came into my store twice. I was starstruck both times, but no one else I was working with knew who he was. He actually came up to my register both times and ordered a shit load of chicken. I still have the receipts he signed!!!
Well, okay, marine biologist may be a noble job... But *damn*, what a waste that would have been! It scares the living shit out of me to imagine Colin actually doing that and never ending up on our screens - no "TAPIOOOOCA!", no "We're watching animal porn", no all-around awesomeness and epicness and bromance with Ryan - man, I really don't wanna think about that! *What a waste!* I sincerely thank the universe or whatever for not letting that happen and for stirring Mr. Mochrie in this beautiful direction of comedy!
He went on to star in his own ABC variety show in 2001 called The Wayne Brady Show, and a daytime talk show of the same name in 2002, which lasted two seasons and won four Daytime Emmy Awards, two of which went to Brady for Outstanding Talk Show Host.
GUYS! COLIN MENTIONED HIS SON, LUKE MOCHRIE. If you don't know, he's made videos with the Nostalgia Critic on ThatGuyWithTheGlasses. If you care to check him out, he's there. I'm not sure if he's still with them, but he was for a time period.
It makes me so happy that those two are still best friends. In Improv-A-Ganza for example, Colin said to Ryan "Why don't you make the nose even bigger?" and Ryan was all like "Are we really gonna start?" ♥ : D
i had an improv club at my high school.. i loved it because i was the grade nine favorite and a lot of the older kids thought i was funny. we would play whose line and other improv show games and it was so much fun. but two months ago the Ontario teacher strike started and all clubs are cancelled. when Colin was talking about his old days in drama i cried inside, so now i watch WLIIA episodes online to cope... :(
8:02 As you get older each day becomes a smaller and smaller percentage of your life. When you're a child years are huge percentages of your recallable memory, but once you're in your 20s they're already just small portions of everything you've experienced.
Yeah but that actually plataeus at a certain point. It actually appears that another effect is the amount of novel stimulus. When you're young everything is new and you have to learn about everything. That becomes less and less as you get older. The best way to make your time feel fuller is to constantly expose yourself to new things as you get older.
I see him at Parent Meeting Interview Nights at my highschool! It's so cool.. but I never get the nerves to go up to him. I love his work in Whose Line Is It Anyways! One of my fav shows
The Wayne Brady Show was designed to try and capture the popularity of Wayne from Whose Line, and ABC originally commissioned it. I am sorry, but I knew it would fail, there is something in the mindset of TV executives, if someone is popular on a show, give them a talk show - It nearly always fails.
Colin is a legend, it's so sad seeing all of his work as a history, you know? It will be remembered, but I wish things like Whose Line and maybe the Green Screen show were sill on.
and Luke was in a feature length Star Wars/Trek parody called To Boldly Flee where he played Luke Skywalker... and Colin was mentioned. It all comes full circle!
The American version ran on ABC from August 5, 1998 to September 4, 2004. However they had filmed so much material that two more seasons were aired on ABC Family (which had aired reruns of the show since 2002), which ran from January 17, 2005 to December 15, 2007.
Harperlarp Dude, I'm not even from an English speaking country and stumbled upon a Whose-line -US video. (mind=blown) Then, after falling in love with Colin and Ryan, I found the UK version, the new episodes, the Drew-Carey-Show, Improvaganza and recently this interview-stuff... If you haven't seen the new episodes, look for "Colin's sixpack". Trust me on this :)
So interesting that many celebrities tried to create a talk show. I wonder what Wayne would've done had his show became successful and had more air time.
To those of you wanting Whose Line back, there's going to be a new improv show airing on GSN next month with all of the cast of Whose Line (except for Wayne). "Drew Carey's Improv-A-Ganza". Set your DVR's.
this is crazy I now want to be an actress mostly doing improve but when I was younger I wanted too be a marine biologist I know no one really cares but I thought that as cool
You can really tell how much Wayne looks up to Colin. I really love both of these guys - how warm and modest they are both. And, of course, how funny!!

Seriously, that's a really nice interview. Colin, as well as being a great comedian, comes across as such a nice person and a wonderful father. Lovely to watch.
He really needs to tell Luke that he only plays a woman on TV for laughs, not to imitate that in real life.
Colin Mochrie always seems like a Great Gentleman and I feel he is a highly under-rated actor.
He has talent and ability and yet its the so called 'stars' that get all the attention and make the big money.
That's a wonderful interview! I miss "Whose Line"! Colin and Wayne amaze me; so much talent!
Bet you are pretty happy now :)
Colin is one of those ppl that would name his son Luke, just so he can say, Luke, i am your father...
+chet michael you must be fun at parties
clayton gupta are you kidding me, he is the king of party quirks
That's not the line, buddy.
His son is now his daughter
wouldn't be living up to his name otherwise (mockery) lol
I just love them. "Laughter doeth good like a medicine." God bless thse talented men.
i love how wayne's so honest about it mid-way through the show.
you can tell how they're talking to each other differently than they would have if they were on whose line
"Are you surprised by some of the things that come out of your mouth?"
"We're watching animal porn!"
wtf there's a wayne brady show???????? how did i not know its existence?!!
Because ratings weren't very good.
sueanna2 Short,short run.
sueanna2 I dont think anyone know I sure didn't lmbo
It's like there is a "Whose Line" version of Colin and an "interview" version. I like both!
Yeah interview Colin has a very shaky nervous voice. It's cool to see another side of him
Colin: Although there's no physical danger.
Wayne: Right, there's no death involved.
*Recalls the scene where Colin stuck a flamethrower in Ryan's mouth*
*Recalls when Ryan ran his head into a live neon light, breaking the glass*
Someone wants their own show!
I had such a dopey smile on the entire interview. Colin Mochrie is a beautiful person.
God damn, he SOUNDS shy! It's crazy how different his demeanor is when it's not in a completely non-serious context.
I love this man more than I probably should.. haha. He and Ryan are so inspiring
What a clip to choose!
Awww the way he describes being on Whose Line is so cute. Sounds like he really enjoyed it.
Wayne is sexy.
Aw that's so cute Colin got his first laugh and said "That's it. This is what I wanna do for the rest of my life." :)
"People, it's a very noble profession." XD
So sweet how he says Ryan was a "major force in his life" and also how he talks about his son.
What a kind, genius, humble, gentleman-like man. Love him.
I love how he mixes wisdom with humor, Colin's such a cool guy.
I knew it! I always thought that Ryan and Colin were best friends! It was just so obvious on Who's line. Good people
this is so cool to see. I grew up watching whose line and loving it, then years later I was lucky to go to highschool with Colin's son Luke. Very nice guy!
This interview is gold for any WLIIA fan, thank you for uploading this!
This is waht I wanna do now, for the rest of my life"...lucky us.
Colin your my role model.and i look up to you always.May everything that is good happen to you dear sir.
The quality of this video clip is outstanding.
Colin Mochrie and I have a lot much in common...We're both really shy, we both love improv, and we both got into acting in the same way. no joke. He's like my role model. You're awesome, Colin!!!!!!
I believe you when you say you're shy. And that's part of what is so charming about you.
Awww.....my baby shy, I knew he was a shy person. You can tell if you closely observe his moments on the show. But he is hilarious though!!!!
Shows big time when he does if you know what I mean
A truly shy person never would have agreed to be in that play when he was young. He's like shy FOR an extrovert.
I liked this video before I even watched it. Colin is the single best thing to EVER come out of Scotland. (I'm not dissing Scotland, I'm saying that HE'S THAT GOOD!!)
I love this program
Do you remember when Wayne Brady had a show? .. pepridge farm doesn't even remember 🤣 love you guys

+SingenStatt Atmen I still crack up even when I see the words "TAPIOOOOOOOOOOCA" now. It's kind of a problem.
If he had been a marine biologist, surely he would have seen whale porn
He went on to star in his own ABC variety show in 2001 called The Wayne Brady Show, and a daytime talk show of the same name in 2002, which lasted two seasons and won four Daytime Emmy Awards, two of which went to Brady for Outstanding Talk Show Host.
I love how even when they are doing like a "Serious" interview....more like a funny one but.... Colin still cracks jokes
GUYS! COLIN MENTIONED HIS SON, LUKE MOCHRIE.
If you don't know, he's made videos with the Nostalgia Critic on ThatGuyWithTheGlasses.
If you care to check him out, he's there. I'm not sure if he's still with them, but he was for a time period.
is it any good?
Holy shit I forgot wayne had hair
I've seen him without hair so much I didn't even notice it! I read this comment and had to scroll up and be like "OH SHIT!"
Great interview. Colin's more down to earth in real life than I thought, but he's still very funny.
It makes me so happy that those two are still best friends. In Improv-A-Ganza for example, Colin said to Ryan "Why don't you make the nose even bigger?" and Ryan was all like "Are we really gonna start?" ♥ : D
5:55
Immediately after he asked that, I thought about Colins "meow". xD
i had an improv club at my high school.. i loved it because i was the grade nine favorite and a lot of the older kids thought i was funny. we would play whose line and other improv show games and it was so much fun. but two months ago the Ontario teacher strike started and all clubs are cancelled. when Colin was talking about his old days in drama i cried inside, so now i watch WLIIA episodes online to cope... :(
Love these guys. Just seeing them two together makes me want to fluff my Garfield.
Thanks for uploading this!
oh my thats why they have such a great connection the grew up together!!!!!
THANK GOD,HE GOT THAT PART IN THE PLAY
I had no idea Wayne had a talk show
WOW! I never knew Wayne had a talk show!! Cool.
Aww, you can hear Colin's voice going in and out, he was nervous! :')
Such a great person, Colin Mochrie.
Colin is sooo adorable!!
He was totally the funniest member of "Whose Line," in my opinion.
Colin Mockery is hilarious in WLIIA!
No wonder he found everything Colin said so funny... he knew the real, shy Colin, and couldn't fathom the funny stuff he said on Whose Line.
I love Colin so much :)

The man, The myth, The legend- Colin Mochrie
Colin is just so adorable
He's such a sweetie
Yea. Drew Carey even referred to him as, "The nicest guy you'll ever meet." On WLIIA
Thats right, he was born in Scotland and I think lived there earlier childhood, but spent most of his years growing up in Canada
awwww Ryan and Collin= BFFs!
I miss that show! ):
I see him at Parent Meeting Interview Nights at my highschool! It's so cool.. but I never get the nerves to go up to him. I love his work in Whose Line Is It Anyways! One of my fav shows
I see myself similar to Colin. I hope I get the same chance he got when he did the school play.
It's true. I'm shy as well, but when I get on stage. The adrenaline takes over and I become a totally different person. It is such a rush.
Wayne won two well deserved Emmys hosting this show. It's unfair that it flopped.
The Wayne Brady Show was designed to try and capture the popularity of Wayne from Whose Line, and ABC originally commissioned it. AWWW COLIN I LOVE YOUUU SOOO MUCHHH!
,,The best fing I ever done it;s being involved in making of my son".Wonderful person
i love colin, hes the best character on whose line
Colin Mochrie is so awesome!! :) Funny to see him grey.
He is brilliant.
we'll return you to "marry had a little lamb" after this... lol
i watch skits from Whos line here on youtube all the time. If im having a bad day it brings me right out of it almost immediately
........................there was a Wayne Brady show?
Exactly my thoughts XD
Colin is the best in the world at improv.
Yet another example of Canadian Talent, personified
it ran for a few year between circa 2001-2005/6. he won at least 1 emmy for the talk show
Wayne had a show too?
The Restoration of Dr Who Two i guess this and let's make a deal
Awww Luke! I love his work:) Similar to his dad, but different:)
Colin is the best! I think he is hilarious!
The Wayne Brady Show? Where have I been
The Best thing about Colin, he's so good at making a "Mochrie" of himself, lol
That is pure awesomeness
thats the most interesting interview ive ever seen in my life
Yesterday I found out that there's a show called Drew Carey's Improv-a-ganza, and now teh Wayne Brady show! What next, cooking with Greg Proops?
Harperlarp Dude, I'm not even from an English speaking country and stumbled upon a Whose-line -US video. (mind=blown) Then, after falling in love with Colin and Ryan, I found the UK version, the new episodes, the Drew-Carey-Show, Improvaganza and recently this interview-stuff... 6 days until whose line returns. EXCITED MUCH
So interesting that many celebrities tried to create a talk show. I wonder what Wayne would've done had his show became successful and had more air time.
Colin is awesome
Two very, very funny men. It's says something good about US TV they're both on there.
I half expected him to say "Nice pants," when he walked in.
Danielle Quijas lady Colin !
I can’t wait to see you on TV some day!
I luv C M...and the best thing about him?? He's CANADIAN!!
miss_midge_6515 he was actually born in britain? i believe that's correct
I cant believe he's shy! well, I can cause it's a very common thing in their line of work, but Colin Mochrie?? hehe... He's so awesome!
His son is part of TGWTG! They are both famous comedians! :D
Ryan was raised in Canada as a child, but he is an American since he was born in Seattle.
