Good move. As you probably know this video has some terrible errors in the captions and the narration. fortunately a couple of them are quite funny, like Finnair becoming thin air which is quite appropriate as a pun for an airline.
I am a scriptwriter for PewDiePie
Would you like another interesting fact about KLM? The King of the Netherlands is a registered KLM pilot, and when not undertaking Royal duties, flies for KLM.
*flew (I think)
@@mstrmren He flew Fokker at KLM and the government plane. When these were phased out a few years ago, he retrained to the 737. He still flies actively on regular flights and the government aircraft.
@@Ramon73 I know, but Government Aircraft are not KLM
@@mstrmren I did not write that.
@@Ramon73 I know. I didn‘t say that you said that.
KLM stands for Koninglijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij, which roughly means the Royal Aviation Company. You can understand why they abbreviated it.
That's amazing!!!...
QANTAS has such a rich and beautiful history connecting the rest of the world to our paradise down under
It’s motto is sprite of Australia for a very good reason

Long life Avianca 😍
a.k.a great great grandpa of airlines
Exactly 👍🏼
But now avianca is on BANKRUPTCY
Well i think so lol
Cool. At least I know a little about the aviation industry even though I'm not involved in it. Great content bro!!
I love watching these type of vids about aviation industry ❤️😍👌🏾
Incredible video, as always !
Thanks a lot brother 🙏🏼
Great video thanks for sharing
Fantastic video!
LOVE THE THUMBNAIL!!!
Hi. Thanks for the video
Thank you for sharing this information. I enjoy your videos.
Thanks a lot! 😉
What is missing is that in 1934 KLM won the De MacRobertson London - Melbourne air race. A regular airliner that carried mail and passengers and came 1st in its category and 2nd in the overall classification. A world achievement among the many fast planes specially prepared for this race.
Oh the 747-400ER "Longreach" The Qantas old gal named after the town in Queensland where the airline was founded. Initially it was a mail carrier service. That aircraft in its Big Red Roo livery is a beautiful sight. Much prettier aircraft than the A380. It always has special meaning to me, I am either going on an adventure to some far flung corner of the globe, or, She is bringing me home.
Nice!
Cool video! 👍
Thank you! Feel free to share it 😉
very interesting!!!!!!!
Nice 👌 thanks 😊
Thank you!
Southwest Airlines is a old one too. Also awesome vid
It’s only 50 years old this year.
i kinda like your Vids i think i am going to Sub
Well Keep it up Buddy 👍
Thank you! Feel free to share my videos! 😉
Qantas 👍
😉👍🏼
Good
It’s pronounced “Ah-ve-ah-ka” - the letter “A” in Spanish always receives an “Ah” sound never an “Aye” sound. AV merged with TACA, also a long and storied airline, early the past decade and the combined airline now has hubs in Bogotá Colombia, San Salvador El Salvador, and large operations throughout Central America and South America.
Americans are so funny in their pronunciations! His Qantas is dangerously close to the popular nickname of "Quaint Ass" 😂
It's customary for native English speakers to pronounce foreign names as if they were English. A good example is Iberia in this video. An Englishman once asked me how I would pronounce my Finnish surname in English! 😁
cool
LOT Polish Airlines is only 1 year younger than 10th place airline, but airline that transformed into LOT was founded in 1922.
Garuda was founded in 1947 by the owner of KLM. Before Named Garuda the company name is KLM-IIB or KLM Island to Island Company but since the Round table in 1949 KLM-IIB is lead to Republic of Indonesia and named Indonesian Airways. Using the 1st DC-3 that named _Seulawah_ by Friends and Family of Aceh Northwest of Sumatra. Since Indonesian Airways named little bit not correct so they change it into Garuda Indonesian Airways (GIA) and then it raised by the Goverment of Indonesian the 1st livery is since 1949 - end 1949 as a blank stainless steel with RI 001 on the tail, the 2nd Livery is since 1949 end - 1970 as the Flag of Republic of Indonesian, but there is tragic that that years 5 plane crash but remain unknown models of the plane, 3rd Livery's is in 1970 - 1980 as the modern of Indonesian, there is 3 more crash and the same thing is remain unknown and the 4th livery's is when Garuda is now a new and off from Indonesian but still an Indonesian Airlines since 1980 - 2009 and that count 12 crash one of the crash is MD 10/11 in Japan because false warning engine number 1 is failed in 1996, 1 years later Garuda A300 model crash in Sumatra cause if Inccorect turn and decending fast, and 6 years later a boeing 737 300 land in shallow river in Surakarta, Solo because engine failure when try to avoid storm in Yogyakarta when try to land in Yogyakarta Airport, 5 years later a boeing 737 400 crash in Yogyakarta because low experince of pilot in bumpy ride land. and in 2009 the 5th livery's as known the Garuda Himself with blue feather on the tail and blank white with name Garuda Indonesia and Garuda Logo on it. in 2014 10 years after KLM in Skyteam, KLM-IIB/Garuda joined the Skyteam 2nd best Airlines group company. and thats the story how Garuda was Found. and now is the 80th Aniversary of Garuda.

Yeah Garuda Indonesia is the second oldest airline in Asia after Philippine Airlines in 1941
November 1909, Ferdinand Graf von Zeppelin founded the first airline in the world in Frankfurt am Main: "DELAG" ("Deutsche Luftschifffahrt-Aktiengesellschaft"), which transported around 34,000 passengers between 1910 and 1913.
i respect how jet2 is always on the tail but i dint see tui
I was so excited and proud when Finnair showed up on the list
Surprised Qantas is not in 1st. I'm glad I live in Australia and always fly Qantas everytime
Safest airline all time!!
How do you have 3K subs you deserve at least 70 million
5:20 I am from Czech Republic, but i have not flown with Czech Airlines but with their owner's Smartwings.
The Peruvian airlines mentioned in the Delta segment became Pangara (long name Pan American Grace Airways) and operated exclusively along the western part of South America.
The butchered Spanish for Avianca crushed my non existent soul
@Mat And what do they speak in colombia? indeed spanish. not a smart comment of you
Mexicana de aviacion founden in 1921 ....✈(R.I.P)
I love a klm model with gear
OMG you only have 5k subs you need something like 5 million!
Thanks a lot! We're getting there 😉
@@Top10Aviation ooooooooooooooooh i got a heart!
:o my airline is the oldest
And EgyptAir was the second in Africa that was founded on June 7, 1932 - 89 years ago (in the name of EgyptAir)
To me the most incredible is Aeroflot - the irony seeing the Soviet Hammer and Sickle painted on a Boeing 777...
The company that today uses the name “Delta” dates back to the founding of Northwest Airways in 1926.
...or the founding of Western Air Express in 1925.
Talking about the airlines founded in the years immediately after 1927, as we read in many of the comments, one should also mention Cubana de Aviación (1929).
The video is only about the Top 10
I only travel overseas or interstate with QANTAS. They have the best service and the best safety record of any airline in the world. I'm very surprised that QANTAS was not No. 1. DM.
Many would dispute the best service claim but its record as the safest is indisputable. In fact it has been rated the safest airline every year for over 20 years now, in addition to no lives lost in the jet era. However it cannot come first in this video on the oldest airline if KLM was created a year before it.
Make a video with EL aL
I think you’ll find that Serbia is just part of the old Jugoslavia. There are also Croatia, Kosovo, Moldavia and other states which were once parts of it.
I’ve had the privilege of travelling extensively in Europe prior to COVID and always looked forward to flights with KLM.
My bad, sorry; Slovenia not Moldavia. Distracted by visitor.
Hello pls add air india it is the oldest airlines since 1916 June pls add it. It started as tata airlines
You did not include South African Airways, also commenced operations in the early twenties. Although now in much financial difficulties exacerbated by covid
SA Airways was founded in 1934 by merging. In this list there are airlines that are operating under the same name since its creation.
@@davegrohl2532 OK thanks
@@davegrohl2532 In which case Avianca should not be on this list …
i own shares in finnair and the first plane was a ju32
The oldest airline is DELAG in 1909 by the german empire. Its fleet was only zeppelins and dissapeared in 1915
I'm going to guess the oldest of an operation is Pam am
Any video on concord services
Yes you can find it on my channel!
Garuda Indonesia est 26 Jan 1949
The only two airlines in this video that have actually operated under the same name for more than a hudred years ar KLM and Qantas....
There is a third founder for QANTAS to!
Siiiiii salió Avianca!!!!!!!!! Y se dice bar an qui ya
Qantas is still the safest airline in the world
Debatable - it's between them and Hawaiian Airlines.
What about the whight brothers plane.
It works
KLM for ever.
👍🏼👍🏼
QANTAS “the flying kangaroo” 🕊🦘
Джанкерс :)))
lesgo KLMMMM
I love KLM
"thin air"💀
Don't want to sound like the Grammar Police, but you mispronounced 'German Junkers' several times in the video. It's actually pronounced like 'Young-kers" Just FYI. "J" in German is pronounced like "y" in English. But I like the content
How about Philippine airline?
Content-wise this video is highly interesting even for me that have served 35 years in the civil aviation industry with three airlines in 4 countries. Regrettably, the names of the airlines have been butchered. Iberia and Avianca as examples. Please get you pronunciations right if you tend to produce more such documentaries about the industry.
Philippine Airlines is the oldest airline in Asia, though you forgot to include it in this video
It‘s about the oldest airlines worldwide, which are all a lot older than PAL. Did you even think about that!?
KLM 1st in the handicap class 1934 Melbourne race.
Wow nice!
So did they enter a plane in the Melbourne Cup? And it won...
Jokes aside, there's a great story around the sponsor of the air race from London you mention and we can literally say the winner got the chocolates Read about a great Aussie pioneer.

@@flamingfrancis I also like the story about the emergency landing in Albury. Without the Aussies it would not have happened.

Austrian Airlines/Founded
September 30, 1957
My Dad is a Finnair pilot
MY HOME COUNTRIES FLAG SHIP IS NUMBER 1
Qantas started on 1922
But I should wait
For some reason I thought that Iberia was a new airline.
KLM of course
QANTAS was inaugurated in 1919, not 1920
I took the info I found on Qantas' website. I guess they know when they inaugurated their airline?
Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services Ltd was registered as a business on 16 November 1920.
You forgot Air India, It's 91 years old now.
9:57 I actually flew on that plane on my birthday back at 2017 - the plane was brand new!
Damn that is nice to see that back
And they also have Qantas Link
And Jetstar.
Umm. Hawaiian Airlines 1927? We are Australian but use Hawaiian for holiday travel. My husband's job takes him all over our country regularly so when we travel for fun we like a change. Both great airlines.
Don’t forget about TWA it’s also an old airline
No longer exists
Bruh he said qantas, Australia and Queensland, it ok, most poeple don't get it right
NO he said Qantassss.
But how is Delta airlines older than the 3 airlines that began in 1927 when it was born in 1928?
Bahamas air
LAN CHILE TAMBIEN
The number 1 KLM
4:23 that’s why he’s da goat da goat
But why spelled incorrectly 💀
No philippine airlines? You have got to be kidding me? Philippine airlines is the oldest airline in asia.
Only 80 years old - founded 1941
So of it is the oldest airlines in Asia, it is automatically included in the oldest airlines in the world?
I want a Klm Boeing 787 -10
KLM👍
Have you flown with them? 😉
@@Top10Aviation not yet but soon
Shouldn't it be the Wright Brothers Airline from U.S.A. ? First flight 1903.
They were the first, but the video is about airlines, so companies conducting commercial flights
Lets be happy because how good the video is ? 😀❤
It’s not “aero-float” it’s “aero-flawt”
