The reason of textbox outsite the window, i think it is cause by shader. so, you can try the Margin container(from control), use it include other control nodes and setup theme override's margin offset. after that, it will fit textbox, it still doing fullrect but it will do after margin container. btw, normal controls nodes have a Anchor preset setting, use custom and change the offset/point is same effect. (But controls at container nodes would not affect.the nodes below container node cant be change anchor preset)
5:21 The first example has the UI being rendered ON TOP of the vhs filter, and the second example is being rendered underneath- being effected. The VHS filter likely warps the edges of the screen, or distorts the overall image. I think it looks cool underneath the filter though! Just force it to render the same in the first example and make it smaller overall so it will fit with the warping.
You're right! It was one of the VHS filters that caused it. That's strange, because I use the same settings in both examples, the effects are all in a single scene which I then add to the levels. Luckily, the shader that caused it wasn't doing much anyway, so I just removed it and now it's working. Thank you!
3:46 instead of check currentState in _process() every frame to play animation, you can use set() that get called only when the currentState value is changed. to learn more about set/get, there is in the same brackeys gdscript video at 44:29

Did you use the low poly model option in makehuman? If not, that could maybe help avoiding decimating the mesh in blender
Oh, didn’t know there was a low poly option. Thanks!
