Epic FAIL on a historic OTIS Elevator

(April 2019) When I visited the building during this time the elevator was running terrible. It got stuck multiple times. To reset the elevator you pull the emergency stop and reset it. It only works so well though. Watch and see how this elevator was running in 2019. I need to go back and check up on this thing.

I remember the same thing happened with the freight elevator at the Monroeville Mall, And the old hotel in Texas. This thing needs help. But at least it’s a cool elevator

I can see that they had modernized the mechanics of this elevator since it starts and stops gradually opposed to "on a dime". I wonder why it kept stalling and then traveling at leveling speed.

Last I heard, this piece of crap wasn't running anymore but I don't know how true that is. This is a good example of an elevator that's needs a mod or some major TLC
