static for life! I'd rather have my car look good 100% of the time, not just when it's parked.
i also believe that certain cars should be bagged and others should be static. i drive a focus st and i think they along with all "tuner" cars should be static. a brand new bmw m4, yeah bag that for sure.
y'all should make a video on what cars should be static and what cars should be bagged. yeah it's based off of opinion but that's the great debate lolz
i also hate the term "coils are for poor people" like bruh, air setups aren't expensive anymore. i have $4,000 wheels, you think i passed up bags because i couldn't afford them? bitch please.

David Tuggle apparently people have been telling you other places that you didn't bag your car because you couldn't afford them... but that's retarded for people to say that without even knowing your situation. in some cases I'm sure that's happened. Ive had BC's slammed, I've had Bilstein pss9 on my E36... I've done the whole static life thing for over a decade now I have a E39 M5 and I have put it on air lift performance 3p. And just like people saying oh you didn't do air suspension because you couldn't afford it it's also just as stupid to say "I didn't go air because I want it to look good all the time"... my car is lower than all my other static setups... while driving. The adjustability and ride quality is also far superior to the suspensions I've owned in the past. turn some dials I can have a track oriented stiffness which is borderline as stiff as my BC. Tons of time attack cars have air suspension. There should be no debate imo people just need to shut up and enjoy both.. what bothers me is that people that say one or the other is shit without experiencing The Best of the Best of Both Worlds.

Why does your car have to like look "a 4x4 lifted Jeep" when you want to drive somewhere? I thought the newest 3S or 3P setups meant you could raise it to a drivable but lowered height and still be lowered while driving, but still be able to lay it down when parked.
Cracked my first pan. Its took 2 years and a 30 sec bad decision. I feel like I have been fully initiated into the static life.

This just made me 100% sure to go air instead of coilovers. Seems like static creates more problems in the future compared to airbags . Good luck with those cracked oil pans , damaged fenders and frame . I'll just have a possibility of a leak once and a while. I'm a perfectionist so I highly doubt I'll have any problems with it .

I have had coilovers foreverrrrrrr. Only reason i didn't have air ride was because i couldn't afford it until recently. The MAJORITY of people on coils simply can not afford air.

If your an adult and roll static on your daily... just take the time to drop your car before a meet or something. You dont gotta be "slammed on its nuts" as jasper says, all the dam time. Fender gap is lame, just keep it in check.
Mike Ross the only down side is, it takes hours to adjust coilovers correctly. Taking the time to make sure each corner is level so the car drives straight sucks

I'm just going to say it out right, air is just way over played everyone and their moms run air suspension. Here's my $0.02 on air and when to use it. It is cool if your car is like a show car 90% of the time and like you occasionally street drive it. Honestly if you street drive your car 90% of the time just go coils or a good set of struts and springs. Even if you dont get to run like -100° of camber like there's really no point in my eyes to try to run agressive camber on the steet or even like stretched tires because you're just ruining drivability and harming your safety. I'll be honest here, I appreciate going to car shows and seeing static cars that run agressive/flush fitments that are drivable. I like seeing something that's lowered but still FUNCTIONAL. Something where you're not constantly trying to watch out for speedbumps. Seeing a well done static car with agressive yet USABLE fitment is just way better than seeing something bagged with like -100° of camber that gets trailed everywhere and you can only find at like stance nation or some car show like that because the car isn't driveable on the streets.
Ralph Mag well. My car is running aggressive camber and has stretched tires and its not even aligned. But most of the static guys actually drive their cars alot. Some people dont like it. But in my twisted mind i like to drive the car. Even tho its not functional. The most important thing is that you personally like your own car.
@master DOGE what i'm trying to say is bagged cars with excessive camber in my opinion aren't very streetable. I ran bilstein B14 coilovers with a 18x9 et30 on my stage 2 A3 8V (et30 is the most aggressive offset you can run before fender rolling) and I never had any problems whatsoever

I dont care what you guys think. But my issue when people talk about going static is that they forget to talk about the ride quality. Yes driving static might be a shitty ride experience. But how i think it tho is that its so shit that you start to like it. My car is static and running on cheap shitty coilovers. But i love to drive it. Even when it scrapes and makes a lot of noise and cant turn in a parking lot. It still feels good to drive. I enjoy driving a static car and thats why i chose static over air.
