@@justbplz Just in case people didn't know, SCUMM is an acronym for the game engine used for these games. "Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion (SCUMM) is a video game engine developed at Lucasfilm Games [...]" So, there are lots of SCUMM puns out there to pay homage to the original engine, even as many of these games were ported onto other, more capable engines.

I loved this game as a kid, it's atmosphere is absolutely unique. On the other hand I wonder how you could figure out the solution without a guide like this, it's impossible imo!

Any chance you play Sea of Thieves? Monkey Island story quests were announced today. I check out this playthrough so I could compare the trailer to it, and man the attention to detail is crazy.
@@cbwmechbot i used to play it loads, but i quit after they added the shrines and treasuries (felt like there was nothing left to the game). ill probably revisit to play the new missions though, trailers look ACE!
Too late to be born at its release, but never too late to play it optimised for today's hardware. And never too late to see it popularised by hefty amounts of easter eggs and word-by-mouth.
Nah, that's Clancy Brown. LeChuck is the (equally wonderful) Earl Boen, probably mostly known for being Dr. Silberman in the first three Terminator-movies and the Narrator in World of Warcraft!
I haven't played this, or watched the entire video. How many changes in the story did you notice? I know there's at least one: 3:31:40 - They cut out the lead-up to the "Made by Lemonhead" joke. He originally said "Oooh, that's nice. Simple. Just like one of mine. And little. Like mine. And it says "Made by Lemonhead"... Just like one of mine!"" Cutting out the preceeding lines ruins the joke.

They dont make game like this anymore. God know's i hate next generation. the tane game industry gain so much money everything get fallen apart. Probably not…it’s not on the mid 90s PC CD Rom version either. But I do remember it from the original Amiga version

You could always play the recent Thimbleweed Park that game has some pretty neat concepts and puzzles.
We had some good ones in the past years. Like “until dawn”, “become human”. But I am also nostalgic for those 90’s games a lot

This version seems to have more blatant advertisements in it.... "Monkey Island tm" just kinda takes away from the game immersion just a bit.
