- Reviewing BlackArch Linux an Arch Linux distro w/ Pentesting and Security tools. For users looking to use security tools this is a perfect alternative to Kali if you want to use Arch and pacman instead in 2021. We'll explore tools, the desktop, system info, and resource usage. Could this be the ultimate hacking distro?
Arch Linux is an independent Linux distribution that comes with a minimal setup and allows you to tailor the system to your needs. That means you can install whatever window manager or desktop environment you want and mainly to start everything on Arch Linux is done through the Command Line Interface. This is what makes it so minimal because you could technically run everything from just the terminal. Without installing anything else on Arch Linux now this might make it harder to interact with Linux, but it sets you up with learning about the internals. Arch Linux focuses on supplying you with the latest development and releases in Linux.

I thought you had vim running on terms, turns out it was just the wallpaper. I dunno if I am impressed or feel like I’ve been trolled. Great video as always! 😂

haha you've been tricked :D
Black linux looks dope as fuck
8:17 this is canda cool
imagine mastering all da tools available on dat distro 😳
haha I can't even count that high.
:3
Imagine the type of power you will wield
I pretty sure even Thanos would run for his life
Master the skill. Not the tool
Unpaid internship be like. "Demands mastery of the BlackArch tools"
Haha and 10 years of experience ;)

@@SavvyNik On a side note I told my nephew who is handy over theoretical that it is better for him to focus on these fields because even though you can get very good pay once you get there. Becoming highly paid programmer etc appears hard. You read so many that don't get there, which is weird because it is a hard skill to master.
I know this was 3 years ago but why in the world would i download and install entire black arch on top of existing arch if i can actually add black arch repository and just use it to install packages i need and make something like black arch but with specific set of packages preinstalled. One thing i noticed about arch is that you can make it any way you like for any use and as fan of diy i like it. 3 years later there are over 10000 packages in black arch repo avaliable so what in the world would i do with all of them?
Thanks bro I was deciding on what should I get you helped me out 🎉
HOLY MOJI!!1!1 😱💯💙
moojiii much wow

I thought it was a game when I saw it for the first time
Can you make an installation video of this linux with axarva's theme?
I would follow the video from Axarva's theme and then add the tools on top of the arch installation. It'd be much easier to add the tools instead of the opposite way around. Especially since they are available from the AUR. Maybe I can make a video on that. Thanks for the suggestion.
I am in China, and install it too slow,How can I do?😔
I recommend torrenting if thats possible
But im not educated in Chinese law to know if its allowed
Another alternative is to install archlinux and add the blackarch repositories and install the tools
BTW, what do you as a day job???
I work as an engineer.
@@SavvyNik In what ?
@@ngx9731 Why do you care creep
@@wooshbait36 Idk there are many types of enginieers.

Wait does this use a GUI installer?
No it has a cli installer, and it is a little (maybe more) tricky for beginners to install and use
😂😂🤣🤣🤣

Is macbook good for hacking
Well compared to the extensive tools that you get with some of these Linux security distros they're much better suited for ethical hacking.
I mean you can use virtual machines to run the pentesting distros like kali or blackarch but I wouldnt recommend it on an M1 mac. Solid laptop but things like burpsuite arent even compatible with ARM yet.
Is Archstrike worth your time? I suppose best OS for hacking is base Arch where you download repo and certain tools from Blackarch?
Right you can use the BlackArch repos or from AUR to download necessary tools on a base Arch installation.
Yeah but can’t you download these into a large enough Kali distro
damn!!!!! tooooooooooooooooooools
haha for real...
can you give me wallpaper ("hack the planet") pretty please
15gb wow massively huge no wonder many Linux user don't use it
lol isn't that the truth...
@@SavvyNik I'm thinking about downloading black arch but I already have kali iso file full installer version. So I just need a hacking and web development distro that is highly stable and have large community support.
@@uniquebrands6056 kali is the best
Why sudo? You are already root....
habit probably
can i download in vmware as iso file.?
The fact that you even asked that question, let alone phrased it like you have means that you're not ready for Arch.
15GB? That sounds like bloat
bloated arch, my favourite arch based distro
yea, that's why hacking distros aren't recommended for day-to-day casual use.
@@HK-sw3vi bloat
@@Ohmy4069 ain't bloat if you use it well
Yeeeeaaaaah, I'd say it's probably best to just run Arch and add only the tools you are going to use from the Blackarch repo.
