I like how you incorporated the trades into the equation it's good fun. I think the Habs will pick at 5 but if they did acquire #9 and #10 I'd rather they keep 10 then flip if for Zegras, especially if they were to take Eiserman at #9 (who I think has become underrated in the rankings). I'd go with Sennecke at #10 if that were the case.
the only issue with the Wild taking Catton is that they drafted Riley Heidt in the 2nd round last year and they are pretty much identical players and both undersized for a Wild team that needs to get bigger...if the first 12 picks played out as you have it, they'll probably take Brandseg-Nygaard or even trade back a few spots and see if they can get another 1st or 2nd round pick......
I still think that if Catton falls to 13 the Wild would take him, but I do see your point in maybe the Wild going after a bigger forward like Nygard instead.
Brandsegg-Nygard would be such a great fit with the Blackhawks forward core, bringing size and physicality to pair with all the speed and skill they have
Dreaming costs nothing, it’s free. To think that Montreal will let Tig Iginla slide through their hands is an illusion. For Flames fans it's best to be realistic not to be disappointed.
And I'm not really into having "what ifs" Seems he's probably a Flames fan. But switching picks a 9 for a 5 isn't a big thing, you're getting a higher pick and possibly a good player.
What did you think of the other trades, and I do see your point, maybe just keep the extra top 10 pick instead of moving up and taking Iginla, but I just think that with all the recent speculation about Calgary wanting him, I personally think they may do this sort of move to get him.
I am not a Flames fan but I have heard the Flames are pretty high on Iginla, and like I said in the video, there may be more involved then just the 3 picks, but I just feel with Calgary wanting Iginla they may make this sort of a move.
@@endtoendhockeychannel4938 Could be, but a top 5, Montreal will hold on to it big time. They need D, they need forwards. They are probably hoping to get Lindstrom, but getting a D or even nabbing Iginla themselves as they could use a better LW. Just the name may bring the Habs fan into a frenzy and plan another parade.
I was thinking the Habs would trade back with Calgary as well, but with an extra top 16 pick, (acquired by combining later picks with one of their left side defensemen) I would like to see them take Eiserman and Beckett Sennecke. GM Hughes seems very big on personality, and Sennecke really stands out there. I think they would value him above Eiserman and definitely Zegras for that reason.
Not really a hockey person are you? Parekh is an Offensive RD. Ottawa mostly need players to play with Sanderson or Chabot and play some Defense. Ottawa has a huge problem since they've taken a lot of Offensive D and no Defensive D. While I do believe that the Sens might keep on making the same mistake over and over, I do hope that they'll look at what is needed to make the team better instead of picking a player that won't fit. Let alone, trade the 7th overall and move down the draft to pick a player that will fit them better.
I agree that Parekh may not be precisely what they need, but I think they need to take a RD with their first pick in this draft, so if not Parekh, who would you go for.
There’s no way a team would trade the 9th and 10th picks for the 5th overall pick. This is after the draft but 9and 10 are significantly more valuable than 5. That would not happen.
Keep up the good work but this is a horrible draft for Calgary, Catton is the better player and will be available at 9, take him and jerseys pick to pick a d-man which they need.
If they don't trade up for Iginla I could definitely see them doing something like this, adding Catton on the forward group would be smart and using the extra pick to add a D prospect would also be smart.
Dude. First of all, the Blues and Hawks don't trade. Haven't traded since Pierre Plante in the 70s. Secondly, the Blues are not touching Connelly with a 1000-ft. isotope claw. Not only do they already have ace young wingers falling out of their ears, but the Blues do not want any part of a problem child. Never happening. You really need to do a lot more homework, man.
First it is only a pick for pick swap so I could see Chicago and St.Louis hook up on that type of a deal, and second if not Connelly then who would you have the Blues go after.
@@endtoendhockeychannel4938 The Blues will use that pick on defense, one way or another. And seriously, I cannot impress this enough: the Blues and Hawks do NOT trade. Zero percent chance, at best.
Subscribed! Love discovering small hockey channels. Hope you blow up, dude!
I appreciate the sub and Comment, thanks for the support.
Well thought out.I always enjoy your content.
I appreciate it man, hope you liked my mock trades
I like how you added trades in, nice video!
Thanks for the comment, it was something new and took a while to think about but I think it made the mock draft more fun.

Yup, that would definitely make sense if they kept the pick instead of moving it to Anaheim and took Sennecke who they seem to be high on.

Why I had Chicago trade up, I think Brandsegg-Nygard would be a great fit in Chicago.
"Consensus is that the flames are trading 5 first round picks to Chicago to select Tij at number 2, uh der"
5, are you sure that's enough, maybe they should throw in a 2nd just to make sure they get it.
Dreaming costs nothing, it’s free. To think that Montreal will let Tig Iginla slide through their hands is an illusion. For Flames fans it's best to be realistic not to be disappointed.
I guess maybe the Habs could take him, but I personally would be a tad bit shocked if Iginla goes as high as 5.
@@endtoendhockeychannel4938 I believe Iginla will be selected 2, 3 or 4.
That is pretty high, I guess we will see next week.
Interesting trade ideas but I don't think the Flames are giving up a top 10 pick just to move up and draft Jerome's kid.

Interesting top 10 dude, Could definitely see it happen like this.
Your Montreal pick will not happen does players are not strong on defense they learn there lesson with Mike Hoffman.
You may be right, I guess Montreal may go after forwards with more defensive abilities in mind.

Never gonna happen with montreal if that happened they will lose there jobs ! 100 % !
Well there is lots of talk about the Habs making a move at the draft, what do you think they will do.
Look habs need talent ! Trade for # 6 and get what makes sense ! Next year don't want to be top 10 ! Trade now get value now !
