ANA unveils beautiful interior of its Boeing 787 Dreamliner

- ANA, the 787's launch customer, today at the Paris Air Show revealed some of the comfortable interior features that passengers around the world will begin enjoying when the Dreamliner enters service with the Japan-based airline later this year. (Note: video has no audio)
I can't wait to see the interior off the Royal Air Maroc and Air Canada Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
First class sections reminds you of the reason for your vacation escape...your office cubicle.
I have to say that the window/portal in the lavatory adds a nice touch. It is a work of art that exceeds expectations of how an aircraft should be.
Just flew back on ANA from VietNam to Washington DC .Great economy seats with leg room and foot rest . Couldn't believe it ! The flight attendants were beautiful , friendly and provided us excellent service . Good-bye United hello ANA .
Actual seats in the production models are incredibly comfortable! I was at the delivery ceremony this morning in Everett, Washington ( north of Seattle) and the 787 will change your mind about air travel for the next 10 years!! It makes standard jets look and feel like railway cattle cars! Light years ahead of what we are used to!
This is defintaly a very nice interior, big windows, nice seats, plenty of storwage, very nice, I love the lighting to.
wow, the interior really reminds me of the interior of a Starship from Star Trek
An interior like this would harken back to the golden age of jet travel with it's elegance, excitement and fun. However, I agree with the previous post that most airlines will make it utilitarian at best.

I will be the first firstclass passenger to fly with this phantabolous plane throughout the whole universe, among the passengers with me is the newly crowned Miss Universe Shamcey Supsup of the Philippines 2011,wow its a big honor to have with.lets dream of the impossible why not,life is too short.

However, I don't see a place for the complementary whips in business class. How else are people supposed to help pass time on those long flights to Asia by indulging the time-honored, endlessly entertaining tradition of running up and down the isles flogging the fart sniffers back in economy class?
I'm sure they'll get this worked out.

@hotelgulf718 Its understandable that some people think ANA's interior as you see. In Japan, however, simplicity considered elegant, primarily because Japanese culture believe the center of attention in a room should be persons, instead of interior decoration. Its one of the main concept of Japanese tea house/ tea ceremony.

The reclining seat is unique as in it does not fold back into the passenger behind you. In a class of its' own.
The business class is much more comfortable than the economy class!

@jabberwolf they are very comfortable. they had a mockup of the cabin at the boing factory and boeing tour. and mostly why they don't look comfortable is because its a video of a simulation of what i will look like. first boing 787 will be there on september 28
this is the domestic and short range flight interior. The interior for the longer range international flights will be different.

it wasn't boeings decision for this airplane, it was ana's.
Boeing designed the atriumesque entrance, but airlines can still choose to put a galley there. (thought i prefer they don't so we can adore boeing's (acutal) beautiful design.
@cristbro2013 You are right about the A380 wings, Three Singapore '380's have been recalled for severe fissures in the wing. Structural stress.
The beds look so great! If only everyone could afford 1st class. :(

@deltajuliet non-reclining seats is why i stopped flying Cathay Pacific.
Cathay, Virgin, and ANA do not have backward facing seats AFAIK. Cathay used to have 45° angled seats, but replaced (most of) them with much less angled seats (about 25° facing inwards). Virgin has still got herringbone 45° seating (but not backward) and ANA seats are all directly forward facing (no angle at all). About privacy concerns, claustrophobia or backward facing seats, that is your opinion but what you said above is not true.

Who will win Boeing VS Airbus
Everyone keeps forgetting that as beautiful and fuel efficient these new planes are, we are still flying at 1950's speed. I want to get to my destination faster. I will be impressed when they start clipping hours from a long haul flight.
And coach is still jam packed in i see no improvements in the spacing of the seats except in first class.

Because boeing presented key parts of their interior to make the boeing 787 seem more unique but in reality 2/3 of the interior is just this.
Are the overhead cabinets powered? Otherwise pushing those 4 suitcases back up into the locked position is going to be challenging, sepecially now that everyone overpacks their carry-on to avoid the checking fees. Food for thought Boeing, but otherwise very nice :)

In my opinion, from all of the Airbus planes I have flown on, their planes have a tendency to rattle whilst in flight, which I have not noticed on any Boeing planes.
They need to improve their economy class tv screens

I like the interior Boeing presented better! Not only this seating configuration seems cramped and not so spacious, but the lighting of the airplane just doesn't match. Fix the lighting please, it does not represent any sunrise, sunset, or any night time features as Boeing presented earlier.

I saw alcohol. I thought they're not allowed on planes to prevent FUI (flying under the influence).
The interior colour scheme is pretty bland, but they only have business class and economy on this plane. A proper first class is available on their 777-300ER aircraft.

K, after looking at pictures of what the interior ACTUALLY looks like, what is the big deal? It looks like ANY other airplane, and nothing like the PR shots. It looks cramped as hell.

Business class is horrible!
Boeing would sell a lot more planes if they would change their colors to light green. Blue is a sad color and causes people to think negative. It is good for sleeping but really the real feel good color in green........
