"Now he has two meals" Brilliant!!
Savage.
This :)
Super funny 😄😄
Best reaction line ever!
😭😩🤣😅
"He IS an animal" ... "Now he has two meals" 🤷♂️ 🤣
“Now he has two meals.”
My heart just fluttered.
“Now he has two meals” 🤣🤣 sooo funny!!
Viki " and now he has 2 meals" ...sick, twisted, and funny...LOL
There’s the famous line about fava beans - but the sudden fluttering of Lecter’s lips was improvised by Hopkins, and startled Jodie Foster. 😮
Vicky: ''... who is going to make skin, of the girl's ... a girl body ... that's sick?! ''
Well ... ''The additional inspirations for the Buffalo Bill character model were serial killers Ed Gein and Jerry Brudos. The former is notorious in pop culture for making skin suits out of his victims, while the latter is known for wearing the clothes of his female victims. Both men share personality traits with Buffalo Bill. Some extra historical context: Gein killed in the '50s, Brudos killed in the '60s, and Bundy began his killing spree in the '70s.''
"At his best, man is the noblest of all animals; separated from law and justice he is the worst."
- Aristotle
Law and Justice seem only to apply to those without power and wealth
Ed Gein wasn't a serial killer in the same sense John Wayne Gacy was a serial killer, Gein did kill two people but he had mental problems that arose as a result of treatment by his mother, legally he wasn't, or shouldn't, have been culpable for his crimes.
Gein also borrowed "parts" from local graves.
Some aspects of Texas Chainsaw Massacre was inspired by his lovely habits:
- The masks of skin.
- Furniture and other household decorations made from bones and skin.
At the graduation ceremony, the man who handed Clarice her badge is John Douglas who was the REAL head of the FBI Behavioral Science Unit. And he was one hell of a profiler. He could even tell you what color car the suspect drove. I don't know how he did it.
The contrasting looks of fascination on Viki and tense disgust on Lia's face 😄 Classic movie, and I enjoyed the reactions.
no te las vais a coger ni en 10000000 años
The scene where Leckter escapes and beats the guard to death with a night stick was on Bravo's 100 Scariest Movie Moments.
You might want to consider "Red Dragon" in which Hannibal Lecter makes a small appearance. Also quite good.
The line about eating his liver with fava beans and wine is actually an inside joke aimed at psychiatrists, mainly because organ meats, alcohol and beans are three things that would dull the effects of psychotropic medications, like the things Lecter would be paired with for his behavior.
best duo, this channel needs more videos with them together.
"There's something wrong with the Doctor who is in charge of the hospital." Yes, Dr. Chilton is a narcissistic sociopath. Anthony Heald played that aspect of Chilton's personality quite well, but his excellent performance gets overshadowed by Hopkins' legendary performance.
The nice chocolate man played the warden.
He's also a perv.
Multiple Miggs could smell Starling's lunch. She was just tripping.
Don't play mental Chess with Hannibal Lecter ! 31:01 Jack Crawford: "Clarice!" One of my favorite scenes when Jack Crawford realized he had been played by Hannibal to go to the wrong house and knew Crawford would use Clarice for 'busy work' - accidentally sending her to the right house. *Foreshadowing* Hannibal did say at the beginning he would help Clarice's career. He left out the part where he would also be angling for his own escape.
Hannibal is 10 steps ahead playing the long game. The rest are trying to catch up.
Martha Stewart was dating Sir Anthony Hopkins at the time the movie came out. His performance was so chilling, that Martha left him soon after seeing the movie. She thought if he had that in him as an actor that must be buried somewhere in him as a person. She couldn't see him as anything other than Hannibal. And expected him to eat her liver at any time going forward.
Maybe she thought that she'd soon appear as a new dish in "Le Gastronomique"? For those of you that don't know that book, it was the cook book in "Red Dragon" that Lecter had written notes in that gave Will Graham (Ed Norton) the clues as to Dr. Lecter as being the culprit. A very famoust cookbook, one that I have a copy of myself. Bon appetit !
This is part 1 of the Hannibal trilogy with Anthony Hopkins. Part 2 is "Hannibal" directed by Ridley Scott, part 3 is "Red Dragon", a prequel to "Silence of the Lambs"
the camera work in this film is brilliant
The casting and acting and writing and everything in this movie is flawless perfection
It’s iconic but also a masterpiece and a lesson in how to make a film especially character building
This movie ranked at #7 in the 100 scariest movie moments
One of the best movies ever put to film. Still holds up today perfectly. It's a masterclass in suspense/drama filmmaking. Great reaction girls!
Speaking of serial killer movies, I'd love to see The Homies react to "Perfume: Story of a Murderer." Some of my friends say it's their favorite film, but I keep flipflopping between thinking that it works and thinking that it fails. It certainly takes some 180 turns from the book. It's creepy, it's unique, it's controversial, and it has Alan Rickman, so it would be very interesting to see the different reactions a group of reactors would get from it. If they do watch it, Michelle definitely needs to be in on it. I get the impression that she has a taste for edgier movies, and I think she would probably have the most interesting take on it.
23:10 - Your reactions say it all. This film made Anthony Hopkins a household name!
Anthony Hopkins won a best actor Oscar for this role despite being on camera for only 16and change minutes of film time the second fewest minutes ever
This movie took all the main Oscars which is rare for the horror movie.
My favorite movie, EVER! One of the very few (honestly, I don't know another one) that have won all 5 major Oscars! Best Picture, Directing, Screenplay, and of course Lead Actress and Lead Actor! I love that you enjoyed it!
What a masterpiece!
oh some one may have told already of the others but I like film Trivia facts, but It Happened One Night ( Gable and Claudette Colbert) directed by Frank CApra won all 5 major oscars and One flew over Cuckoo's Nest with JACK Nicholson was the last to join those 2
Lia and Viki the two of you need to stop being so adorable dammit, my heart already belongs to Ellie!
"Now, he has two meals"
=> Now THAT'S adorable XD
"Bon appétit"
=> Great accent!
Best reactions is when the reactors be themselves, you two do just that. This movie is brilliantly written, directed, and acted. The sequels are not bad but this original cannot be matched. Lecter actually likes Starling which keeps her safe, from him anyway. His revenge on Meigs gives us an inkling of that.
A great reaction! Watching the both of you become invested in the character of Clairice, and the horror of the death sequence of Buffalo Bill was superb.
I think the ending of the movie was just the best.
In the book, Lecter knew Clarice hurt herself at the garage because he could smell the band-aide
"Now he haff two meals!" 🤣🤣🤣
After their first scene together Jodie Foster was so scared of Hopkins that she completely avoided him for the rest of the shoot!
When you girls said “he’s dying“. I said out loud “yeah dying to get out of there!”
"Ready when you are Sergeant Pempbry" 😁
Superb film 👌
"It puts the lotion on its skin or else he gets the hose again."
Great reaction! I like Lia. She is so calm and pretty
Oh yes, I've been waiting for this. My two favorite psychologists/ reactors analyzing my favorite psychological thriller. Ladies to continue the Journey you must see "Red Dragon" and the TV series "Hannibal". They go into the back story of Hannibal.
32:15 Clarice went after him under the possibility Buffalo could kill the senator's daughter.
Swept the top awards at the Oscars- Best Picture, Director, Actor, Actress and Screenplay
Quantico is the place where they train fbi students. It also has special units of the fbi. One of them is the behavioral science division. Those guys hunt serial killers. Crawford is the boss of the behavioral science unit.
Like in criminal minds
Fun fact - Frank Theodore Levine is an American actor. He is best known for playing the roles of Buffalo Bill in the film The Silence of the Lambs and Leland Stottlemeyer in the television series Monk.
I watched Monk for decades without recognizing him.
I saw Frank in other films before Monk and couldn't stop thinking he was Buffalo Bill. Then his characters in Monk and other recent films removed that sterotype. Many actors aren't allowed to play outside the controversial role that got them noticed. Frank's shift to comedy is what helped his career.
5:50 I just realized, that "They know you're with me..." wasn't just a "If I get into trouble call and my friends will come. It was also, if you trap me in here, they'll know it was you.
For another freaky movie like this one do "Se7en" (1995), also spelled "Seven" with Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman. ✌️😎
Silence of the Lambs and Seven are the greatest thrillers of the 90's. Kinda like the Old and New Testaments of the thriller genre.
“Now he have two meals.” 😂😂😂😂😂
“Now he has two meals” 😂👏
26:46 / 37:11 There is an American serial killer from the 1940s and 1950s called Ed Gein. Part of Buffalo Bill is based on this killer. Ed Gein was the inspiration behind Leatherface (Texas Chainsaw Massacre movies), Norman Bates (Psycho by Alfred Hitchcock), Otis Driftwood (House of 1000 Corpses), and Buffalo Bill (Silence of the Lambs). Ed dug up graves and sewed the flesh to decorate his house. I believe he created a mask of flesh as well (inspiration behind Leatherface). Thomas Harris (author of the novel, Silence of the Lambs) gave Bill the desire for an entire body suit (not of just a mask). Part 2 is called Hannibal (a movie). Part 3 is called Red Dragon (a movie).
23:39 "NOW HE HAVE TWO MEALS!"
Lol! Greetings from Miami, USA!
"Bon appétit" . . . I love it. Such dry humor. Good for you.
Viki figures out the skinning purpose early on. Very astute.
I read this book when I was in college. As a criminal justice student I was intrigued about the killer ‘ buffalo bill’.He started the killings because he was denied a sex change because he had a criminal record. At this time in the u.s. you couldn’t have a sex change with a felony record,so he decided to make his own with the skins of females.
Viki caught on real quick! Good job!
BTW, the leader of the SWAT team was the American singer Chris Isaak.
The girl on the right looks like she's on a rolercoster. I love them.
"now he's got two meals" lol Viki :)
My two favorite Homies-nice job girls!
Hi guys shout from Ireland 🇮🇪, great reaction
"Now you have two meals"............... love that Viki!!!
The University is the FBI (and Marine) training academy, and it's called Quantico, because it's located in Quantico, Virginia.
Next you should watch the prequel, "Manhunter" (1986). An awesome movie directed by a great director, Michael Mann, that has the first ever appearance of Hannibal Lecter.
It's not a university. It's the FBI Academy, where you learn to be an FBI agent.
Anthony and Jodie did not meet or talk on set or anytime, before their first scene. He add-libbed the part about the census taker, and when he was belittling her about being a rube, poor white trash, her cheap shoes. Later she said, he truly terrified her!
I love watching Lia's reactions...priceless!
Viki: "He's like so bad and everything...grazy but he is that kind of character you start to like"... It's called charisma. Intellect, psychopathy and charisma are dangerous combination.
One of the big misunderstandings with the film is that Billy is a transexual but this isn't actually true. Billy wasn't born wanting to be transexual he suffered years of abuse and simply hates himself. He only thinks he's transexual because he thinks changing his identity completely will make him happier and accept himself. So it's not a matter of transgender or transexual, Billy is just a self hating psychotic.
There were so many fantastic movies made during the 1990s. One after the other, often several the same year. We all took them for granted.
Then, after 2000, the great movies just stopped.
"Now he has two meals" Love you Viki.
They do imply that Bill was severely abused, or as Lecter said, he wasn't born a monster, he was made one. So he was taught to hate himself and that somehow turned into a hatred for his gender, he wasn't a real transgender person but convinced himself he was, but that was just the surface of his problems, only skin deep (sorry couldn't help the pun).
Just one suggestion: React to the movie "The ring of the Nibelungs", it's great movie with a very emotional story.. surely you will cry at the end of it!
No only did he pick ONE handcuff, he picked BOTH handcuffs.
"wow he's a genius"... very smart lady.
He didn't take the pen. Dr. Chilton forgot it in Hannibal's cell.
31:27 - Love the "harmony" ladies. XD
Now you two should watch the movie "Hannibal" - it's the sequel and VERY good!
In "Hannibl" the last book in the series Clarice runs away with Hannibal. In the movie she didn't.
29:22 about the saying oh my God that's right she was trying to catch the dog and he was just dancing and he was dancing like a charlatan
Viki is a natural at reacting to movies❤
The place at the beginning of the film is one of the regional FBI training facilities.
"now he has two meals" 😅 Great reaction vid 👍
The first film i saw 2 days in a row in the theater!
I love this channel. These girls are so fun!
01:28 - they're at the FBI Academy in Quantico - in the U.S. state of Virginia. All FBI agents are trained there.
23:44 brutal joke lol dsadsadasd
Now he has 2 meals. LOL That is fucking funny.
This movie won at least 4 Oscars...... Movie, Director, Actor and Actress. I think it was the first time a horror movie ever won Best Picture. It is a very good movie, although horrific at times, and very clever script. Thank you for reacting to it.
Not a university, exactly - this is the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) and Clarice Starling is in training to become an agent.
How are you ladies doing, I've never seen the 2 of you together alone.Great choice this is a great movie, and enjoy.💞
Whoever did your editing is very good. Much better than most.
Homies....the killer Buffalo Bill is based on a number of real serial killers including one who did indeed kill and skin women....and made a mask out of human skin. His name was Ed Gein and he was the inspiration for a number of killers in the movies besides Buffalo Bill.
this is a very very good and very intelligent reaction from both. thank u ladies
If you like this... Watch Manhunter 1986. It was the first time Hanniba Lecter was in a movie!
Also skinning women isn't without precedence.
Ed Gein was also known as the Butcher of Plainfield or the Plainfield Ghoul.
He was an American convicted serial killer and body snatcher.
1957 after authorities discovered he had exhumed corpses from local graveyards and fashioned trophies and keepsakes from their bones and skin. Gein also confessed to killing two women.
Good movie i seen it when i was 15ys old back in the days.
This is a classic. Watch the TV series Hannibal. It's amazing
Great reaction guys!👍
Viki: dr Lecter told us "Billy thinks he's a transvestite but he isn't"
Awesome and beautiful reaction team up. Thank you for thi video.
The buffalo bill guy was more creepy than hannibal yet Hannibal is more interesting.
2:50 So was Jodie Foster (Clarice Starling). She was so creeped out by Anthony Hopkins (Hannibal Lecter) that she stayed away from him as much as possible during the filming.
9:00 So, I don't suppose either of you ladies are size 14? No? Oh, well. 😛
31:10 Ted Levine ("Buffalo Bill") said that all he needed to do to prepare for his role was drink a lot of coffee. I certainly hope he doesn't have a large cellar in his house.
32:15 Clarice had to go in alone. If she had left and called for backup, Buffalo Bill could have killed Catherine before running away, and he would need to be tracked down again. And who knows how many more he would have killed before he was tracked down again.
Great reaction!
This movie won (Oscars:) best actor, best actress, best screenplay, best director & best picture
Why is it that people become bewitched by 'charming' psychopaths?
