Jesus. The TONES out of those P-90s are SICK. Absolutely beautiful. [Edit to add: Bought the EP on iTunes. Seriously, guys. This is superb. Mad props to Andertons for bringing this band to a wider audience.]

The only way you're getting that sound is by buying Chris Buck himself.
Loved Chris’ leg kick to get that bend at the end of the main solo 😂 when a bend takes the whole body!

Chris Buck is great however IMHO the singer who has a great voice as well should step in front more. Also I missed strong 3part harmony backing vocals in the chorus, these would lift the song even more.
Agreed! You'd think the singer would introduce the band tbh.
In other contexts outside of guitar channels and RUclips the singer is more the face. But on a RUclips guitar channel it makes sense for Chris to be front.
I think the singer has a great foundation, but he's missing that push in his voice to really bring the song up. He stays kind of on the same level of power throughout the entire song. Sure, he does the adlibs but they don't really bring the power I'd like to hear to fully enjoy the song. Everything else is amazing, but as of now, IMHO, I think I'd enjoy an instrumental version better. Like you said, he should step up in front more. I think this is all a matter of self confidence and him not feeling secure enough to fully let out all t that he's got.

I've said it before in the comments of many Chris Buck videos, and I'll say it here too: Chris, and the rest of Cardinal Black, will be having tremendous success within a year's time.
This was good! I was expecting overindulgent guitar playing but this was a good song with great playing.
That's exactly what makes a good guitarist great. IMO.

They’re all great musicians but my God Chris Buck. Extraordinary. For all of us who didn’t grow up in the 60’s and experience the emergence of Clapton, Hendrix, Beck, Page etc let’s just appreciate we get to witness the emergence of Chris Buck.
I grew up and experienced the emergence of Clapton, Hendrix etc and was lucky enough to see them play live, and I was blown away the first time I saw Chris play at the Pontardawe Arts Centre and have been following him ever since. He is one of the most brilliant, original and genuine guitar players I have ever seen, he truly is, and to see him with this band and all the excellent musicians and vocals, its just so exciting, they are going to be huge !

Blown away!!! Between Tom's bluesy-soul vocals, Chris' guitar tones and that incredible rythym section, this song (and band) is fantastic! This is the best song I’ve heard in a long time and the band is incredible. On a side note it would be cool if Anderton’s had some photos/lists of the gear used by Chris and the band at the end or on a separate video. For me that’s the ultimate as it shows what’s being used in a real application (and I would like to know).
Chris Buck’s RUclips channel has several videos documenting the gear he uses, including a video on his tone for this solo if I’m not mistaken. If you’ve not already checked it out, it’s a phenomenal channel!
Yeah, Chris is very up to date on showcasing his gear. He recently switched to the new Fender Pro Reverb but it looks like here he is using it alongside the Victory V140 here. Great tone.
Nice to see a guitar solo replace a hip hop break in the place in a song where the hip hop break replaced the guitar solo 20 years ago. 🤘🎸

Might be a strange observation, but I find Chris' playing somewhat Govan-esque. Something about the bends, and phrasing. Also, the tone. Instantly reminded me of Guthrie's solo on Drive Home.
Please come across the pond when you tour...you have a big audience here too.

I never miss Chris and enjoy his playing on his show but the band is pure Pop as good as gets but Pop 100%. If this were the 70's the audience for Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck would flock to this. It is what the industry calls "Adult Contemporary.' I was hoping he would move more into music though not straight blues was something an SRV audience would find appealing. I was expecting the Albert Hall and I got Broadway. If you heard the bed track without a vocal the song would be instantly forgettable.
Flipping loved it! Put me down for at least 2 tickets for every gig in Scotland on your next tour…
Oh, and hire Jack. What a brilliant band.

The best British band of this era. The way they straddle classic rock and soul and make it thoroughly modern is an amazing feat, and of course having Mr Buck, the finest guitarist of his generation doesn't do any harm eh! Hope the become huge but stay the same.

Wow I'm blown away. Good groove the entire time, a tasteful and in key solo (which I struggle with on occasion 😅) and a nice swinging rhythm. These guys are pretty rad
