Back in the day when money was very tight for my family I spent $25.00 on my wedding bouquet, it was the most beautiful bouquet to me, it was yellow roses and white daisies. I have an affinity for white daisies and yellow roses to this day ! 🌸💚🙃
UR DOING AMAZING GIRL!IVe been watching you since a few months in. Soooo proud of you. Shenendoahs one of my favorite groups as well. I was sooo happy when you started singing Two Dozen roses! As normal ALWAYS a beautiful sound to my ears. (*Thank you for including in your videos. ~KEEP SMILING JES!~
Wow wow wow!!! I love everything you selected it’s going to grow in so beautifully. Can’t wait to see what you will pick up in the next few weeks too. You have such an amazing eye and make it look so easy! I struggle to select plants and keep having to swap things out all the time!! Thanks again for taking the time to share your garden with us. Xoxox
Ladies Mantle "Auslese" German = pronounced "Ou-s-lase" means "Top of the line" or similarly "Special Selection" of a group of plants. Designing a perennial garden for continuous bloom and interest is not the easiest task since they all bloom or shine at different times, but I think you have a good start. Next year should give you a better idea once they naturally bloom/shine in their cycles. All the best, your gardens look wonderful. Btw....I met my American husband while he served in Germany, we live in my husband's home State Minnesota.
Beautiful garden arrangements. At the end of video; Are you sure you want to plant three shade loving Blue hosta plants in your full sun garden? While it’s true they would look beautiful there, they may struggle and burn in full sun and heat.
I always find it interesting that you dig a hole for a plant put the plant in and still need all that dirt that you had before to fill in the hole. You would think you would need less dirt lol.
Excited to see the progress in your new garden bed. Love watching you and listening to your singing. Have you ever covered Blue Bayou by Linda Rhonstad? Your voice would be perfect for this song..
Lovely, it's already just beautiful. I'm going to look for that red delphinium, in honor of my mom. I put that place in maps your in laws gave you the gift cert. to, it's an 11 hr drive from me. I may have to make a nice 4 - 5 day sightseeing trip out of that.
I love the Midnight Masquerade Penstemon. I hav three planted together and the colors when they bloom are so pretty. I have one by itself which I think I am going to transplant him with the others. I had to stake mine up because of all the rain we have had. I can’t wait until our garden centers have end of season sales. I live in PA so it won’t be until September. I love your gardens! You have a beautiful voice!
Hi Jes! That Lupine grows wild here in Montana with those exact colors! I have a picture of a bunch of wild white liatris with that lupine growing next to it. It's so beautiful. My lupine didn't like the full sun. Hope yours does well! Love those red/pink delphiniums!
Your home and garden are beautiful you have a good eye for planting texture ,color , and height of the plants so bed doesn’t look chaotic you are a hard worker and I have a lot of respect for that looking forward to watching this bed grow and thrive, and P.S that Delphinium is georgous 🌸🦋🇺🇸
Hi Jes 🌺. These all plants looks so beautiful in this bed they will be charming . Jes you can add impatients or pegonias or marigold... along the bed on both sids . Have awonderful day .🌻🦋🌻
I love the beautiful plants you chose! I'm adding that hydrangea, delphinium, daisy, and wormwood to my list! Also loved the arborvitae in the border, and I think I might do that in an area I am working on. You're so good at mixing great textures! Love the idea of adding blue angel hostas, they're on my list, as well!😅 Blessings on your day!!!❤
Looks beautiful, you are so good at picking out plants for contract and color. I think you would be a great landscaper designer 👩🎨 among all of your other many talents! I love going clearance shopping for plants so if for some reason you (shh) ( kill it) then you won’t feel so bad! Lol my favorite are the delphinium, larkspur, n coneflowers.
It turned out beautiful ! But....may I suggest you change your mind on the blue hosta. I had some in full sun and they burned around the edges and the blue faded out. 🌻❤
Hi sweet Jess....great job on all of your plant choices and placement. I have 7 of the Invincibelle Rubys...they do so well here( N.H.) and the get so big. My blooms start out very dark mauve and age to a lighter pink. They make great cut flowers gor me too. I can't wait to see how your yellow elderberry does. I have no room for one. That bed is going to be stunning.❤
Oh i have to find that delphinium, the last three yrs ive looked for seeds on every variety.this year was stunning .but i need to get taller braces for them with the wind storms they break off easy. Same with the lupine, i have been starting from seed. Just love your content. Your soft voice and beautiful music.
When I was out today rescuing plants from the plant shelter, I finally found the "Red Lark" delphinium you just got. Only 1 left too but thats perfect fine with me. 🎉😅🎉 I have been collecting the "Dasante Blue" delphinums . (Which are magnificent as well and I highly recommended if you can find them!)
Your new sun bed is going to be beautiful! Here’s a funny story for ya. About 10 days ago I ordered some of the Midnight Masquerade Penstemon from Garden Crossings! Small world!!
very beautiful. I have an auger but lo0ve my shovel too. not so much of a satisfaction thing but we have rocks in clay so my auger sometimes is useless
The new area is looking great. Good choices of plants. That Lady's Mantle spreads and is a great filler for the bed. Speaking of "Shenandoah" They will be playing at 4 fairs in Iowa in July . Including our N Iowa Fair. It isn't listed on tour dates. But advertised locally. They're doing a "Revival" tour named after the new song they released in January.
Such a beautiful garden you’ve created. Love the red delphinium’s, well all the plants actually. Great job picking them out. I can never decide. Do the blue angel hosta do ok in sun & is that garden on drip or do u have to water. Thanks for sharing the planting. Good luck finding clearance plants you want. 🇺🇸👩🌾
Jess, I've got a quick question?? Where did you get your Dwarf Globe Blue Spruce Tree form from? I want one so badly!!! Please give me all the deets. I appreciate you!! Your garden is soooo Beautifullllll!! 🌺🌺🌺
sorry so late! i got that from Horrocks in Grand Rapids MI, i think you said you live in Michigan, I was just there the other day and seen some! they are 20 % OFF i almost bought another lol
You are such an inspiration! You are such a sweet young lady. Love your whole family. I know your Mom is so proud.❤Jes do you plan out what plants you need before you buy them or just pick them out when you go to the nursery?
Thanks! I don’t really plan I just pick whatever is looking good to me at the moment and whatever is on sale LOL I do have a list that I dream about though :)
I just found your page and love everything. How long have you lived in your home and how much property are you on? There are so many different gardens❤❤❤
So pretty. Lupines ate biannual. You need to let them go to seed or gather seed and replant each year. Might be why you thought they hadn’t done well in the past
Thank you, Jes. Gorgeous. A red delphinium = perfect! Haven't seen them in my area yet. Maybe next year. New subscriber, wondering about the conifers in your garden bed. Love your channel!💙 🌹🌺🌻🌼💙
Hey I sowed my Germaine in the dome like you got and came perfect and someone told me to put dome back I lost half of mind how is yours doing can another up date on yours Judy
Looks awesome Jes, really cool. You know when you started the gully garden , did you dig all the weeds up and then just mulch? My son has a small garden patch we are wanting to re do , it is overgrown with a perennial weed. I am not sure if we should just try and dig as much out as we can then thick mulch layer ?
I have been laying down cardboard and killing out the weeds first there much easier to dig out. Lay down Dewitt or 5 landscaping fabric and mulch and you’ll be set for years.
Back in the day when money was very tight for my family I spent $25.00 on my wedding bouquet, it was the most beautiful bouquet to me, it was yellow roses and white daisies. I have an affinity for white daisies and yellow roses to this day ! 🌸💚🙃
Oh wow what a beautiful story! 🎉
Your neighbors are so lucky. They get to enjoy all the beauty with out all the work.
I was thinking the same thing! What a treat for the neighbors.
Hi Jes. I adore that Delphinium. Just beautiful, just like your whole property is. Takes work and you guys always knock it out of the park ❤
