Wow such beauty! The sunlight is amazing and the land is so lush and verdant. Here in Pennsylvania it is winter. The sky is grey, it is cold and the land is brown. This looks exactly like the kind of road where I would picture meeting Jesus.

Thank you so much for this walk. It is so wonderful to see what it might have been like when Jesus walked in the countryside. The vlogs in Jerusalem are full of people and buildings. You can understand why Jesus often retreated to the mountains and other places to be alone and to pray. This also shows off some of the beauty of Israel and gave me a new appreciation for it.

Danny the Digger! It’s been a pleasure to provide some gratitude to you, in the way of money, for what you’re doing & where you’re taking us. While there’s been no tourism, through your vlog we’ve received an extra special treat to go places where we wouldn’t have had time during busy tourism seasons. I hope tourism returns soon, but what an amazing amount of insight you’ve provided!!! We pray and expect that your vlog will generate a healthy income. We pray you are richly blessed, and though we don’t personally know you, you feel like a friend.

I so very much love your vlogs, it really helps to have a visual perspective to the times of Jesus even though it is modern times. Since I was a child, now much older, I had thought about archeology and digging up isreal to find some piece, some evidence, just something tangible of Jesus. I really had no idea it was being done even back in the mid 70's. My pilgrimage to israel in 2012 really opened my eyes. And you continue to keep them open, thank you. Your vlogs give me a chance to to see the places I did not have time to see and was unaware that pieces of Jesus time is still visible. Thank you.

Mrs Bez here. Shabbat Shalom (from here, Danny, although your Sabbath is now over, we are enjoying our Shabbat in the US)! What a gorgeous walk as you must be on the road to Emmaus, given those road signs by the Romans!!! Good job digging, Danny!!! How would it be if you were Cleopas, the one walking with a friend and after you knew of your hopes for a King to end all oppression by the Romans and he is killed in the most heinous of ways - crucifixion??? Oh the shattering of expectations! How would you have felt when that King is revealing himself with life again... And that King did so to relieve you and your wife from the pain of the crucifixion that she watched with her own eyes? And yet you, Danny were walking that same ground that Yeshua walked on his way with his friend, so they could find peace at a warm springs, a spa. Toda rabbah for taking us on that road to Emmaus!!! There is no place like Israel and there is no God, but the God of Avraham, Yitzach & Ya'achov!!! ADONAI deserves worship!!! Thanks for taking me to that place. Toda rabbah!!!

Thank-you, Danny. Easter Sunday 2024, I preached about the resurrection appearance of Jesus on the road to Emmaus. I enjoyed returning to your video to learn the archaeological investigation about the original, biblical site. Since the 2019 discovery at Abu Ghosh or Kiriath Yearim, I thought that was the most likely Emmaus site. But I understand you still prefer the Nicopolis site for various archaeological reasons. In any case, a very interesting study, and I appreciate your scholarly but friendly spoken insights.

Another awesome video Danny. Have to agree with you regarding the road. Jerusalem was and is the Mecca of the Jewish world dating back to Solomon. It makes sense that it would have been well worn and with grave yards well out of sight (one also has to consider that Israel is a very small country with land at a premium even in the days of King David). Again, thanks for the wonderful walk!

Question, if you started in Jerusalem and walked 7 miles, where would you have wound up on that trail? Are you considering a drone to take overhead video?
