- We’ve been in Anand Prakash yoga ashram for two weeks. It was in December. Small community called Tapovan in Himalayan foothills (northern India). First, when we have got there, I thought I was in heaven. Beautiful young girls around dressed in white and smiling. Namaste, Namaste they said putting hands together.
It was different later, little bit challenging maybe, but still very beautiful and very spiritual I could say.
I hope one day I'll find an ashram. For now, I live my life, try to deepen my practice and don't worry over it

Well lets think about all this the west rejected things like yoga for a long time - why oh why are the world's biggest institutions spending billions today encouraging their employees to do yoga? The west is now rejecting chanting which in essence is a form of grounding you. The fact it is done in a different language to one you speak is probably why you have a problem with it. You need to be tolerant of different of people that are different to you.
Caste,creed or color do not matter. Only because someone is still offering Ahuti with devotion, there is some good left in this universe

everytime i chant Ra Ma Da Sa Sa Say So Hung i suddenly feel better first time i had chest discomfort then it went been chanting this since my moods have improved.

What I see is about $150,000 in tuition in that room. Yoga has become a very lucrative business for the Indians. Swami Vivekananda said that the teachings of Vedanta should be giving away free.

Nice capture of the experience of Anand Prakash, thankyou. I recently returned from my 4th stay there and this video gave me a fair taste of returning "home". Good job including the still photos evoking solitude as that quiet internal journey is a key part of the ashram experience.

@@mdi786 its less then 1000INR for shared and around 1500 for non shared room. It was awesome experience to stay in this Ashram.

I really enjoy your video. I want to go to ashram too, but all of the places that I found are really expensive. How much do you pay for the two weeks that you stay there?
I don't remember how much we paid, but it wasn't very expensive and cheper than a hotel room in Delhi.

Go to baba neem karoli ashram, Kainchi (17 Km from Nainitaal), Uttarakhand. It's not Krishna devoted, but you will experience a different spiritual power there. Must visit there. I am also planning to visit... :) Good Day

This aashram is not like the real traditional aashram where the main focus is on studying the scriptures and experience the true reality which is called in Sanskrit language as Brahman - The underlying reality.
And yeah those traditional aashrams do not take a single penny from you , all they want is that you are so damn sure about the path you have chosen and all they see is your conviction for knowing the truth.
