Another great one, really enjoyed the clarity of your simplistic delivery that left nothing technical on the table; thanks very much. Already looking forward to the next one ❤️🙏🏼🍺

Except for using an older OEM ecu. Probably don't have the processing power, in that case it would be best to size the sensor as close as possible... Yes? No?

i have a 4.8 with a cam that gives about 21 inhg of vacuum. What BAR spec do I need?

Get a high quality map sensor. It will pay you back in spades. I went from an Omni 4 bar to a Motec 5 bar and the engine runs extremely smooth now.

If you swap out to say from 3 bar to 4 bar map do you need some sort of calibration with your ECU?

Is it possible that you are wrong about MAP sensor choice? I'm still learning and definitely dont know much about it. When i open HP Tuners and read my ECM (GM E39) I only have a set resolution. If i increase the MAP sensor size i have to squeeze the additional range into the same space, therefore losing resolution. So having a 5 bar MAP where i need a 2 bar MAP would greatly decrease my accuracy and performance, and I feel like this would be true on most ECM's out there, which would make this video fake news. Could you explain where i lost control of my idiocracy please?

Do you have to have boost in order to put a 4bar map sensor ?

Well that's strange since I've always heard that the bigger the MAP sensor is, the less resolution it will have. So you wouldn't want to use a 4bar map sensor if you're only shooting for 20lbs of boost.

Older OEM ecu that doesn't have any extra processing power your statement would be correct.. I assume that to be the case.

@@b.c4066 I would say that's what most guys out there are working with, plus the vid didn't specify on the type of ecu.

I love EFI University because they teach me how not to be an idiot with great success, something my parents could never do. 😁

"how not to be a idiot"
actually how not to be ignorant seems more fitting, someone ignorant will run a 1 bar with boost and not know,a idiot will do the same while knowing its bad.
