  • The Rocketbook is where analog and digital planning meet. Using special technology, Rocketbooks let you write in them, capture your pages in the cloud, and then wipe them clean to reuse again. Today I am reviewing the Rocketbook Core and Everyday Planner, along with the Rocketbook Bacons, which let you turn any standard whiteboard into a smart whiteboard.

    New to Rocketbook and use mine for work, and one as a gratitude and prayer journal. App saves and it’s great. Addicting. I have always heard of them…but suddenly divine intervention said. You need a Rocketbook. And I haven’t looked back. I own a collection of frixion pens and Rocketbooks of all forms. Love them and my Lord!!❤😊🙏

    I'm so glad to see somebody in this journaling world checking out rocketbook! I've been using the rocketbook for YEARS and even got my previous work to order them for everybody to get the engineers to stop wasting paper. I love my rocketbooks so much for writing things I know I'm not going to need to keep on paper long term, but I might want the info sometime in the future. ❤ Regarding the heat/freeze thing for the pen... funny story. One time I signed a new bank card with a frixion pen that I happened to have in my purse. The bank teller went to laminate the card and my signature disappeared! I did put the card in my freezer and the writing came back after a couple hours. But I learned a valuable lesson that day - don't sign anything with a frixion pen! 🤣

    I won't mention brands since this seems sponsored, but I bought 6 hole, A5 re-usable paper for my leather bound ring planner. 👍👍Same idea. I own two Rocketbooks. They are awesome. My favorite things are the hacks people come up with to increase flexibility of the system. I use one notebook with sharpie marks for permanent, custom reusable templates. It's amazing.

    I've used the Beacons for a couple of years now. Simple but effective. It's great for when you have a whiteboard that is full of different details. You can put the beacons around each piece of detail and capture that separately. Before beacons we would take a picture of the whiteboard in its entirety.

    Nor should you put a hot cup of coffee on top of the notebook. You will get a hole in your notes all the way through the book. :) Thanks for the freezer tip! Frixion makes a great line of pens, highlighters, and markers all of which work in Rocketbook. I have to buy most of them online.

    Love Rocketbook, however caution if you switch back and forth using pens for RB and regular pens you can accidentally write in the RB with a regular pen. If this happens get a tiny amount of Clorox on a qtip and use it to erase the regular ink on the RB- don’t scrub just gently go over the ink the wipe down with the cloth. Done & gone

    Hey, Mark! Just got a RocketBook Core for Christmas after wanting to try it out for about a year. It was so worth the wait! I can’t put it down. I’ve always loved everything to do with stationary, notebooks and pens and have a ton of partially used notebooks laying all around my house. I hate wasting the paper that’s left in them as well as the money, but I want to keep separate notebooks for different things. Rocketbook is the answer to both of those problems. I can take my notes or make my lists, scan them into the app with my phone and file them away in folders in Google Drive, Dropbox, etc and then wipe the pages clean and start again with a fresh, clean notebook. No more wasted paper. No more searching for the particular notebook I need. Added bonus…so much better for the environment! I’ve also been toying with bullet journaling for years, so I’m really glad I came across your channel and looking forward to following along and learning from you!

    Been using rocketbook stuff for a few years now for work and I can definitely attest to the fact that using the eraser will kind of ruin the page haha
    It wasn't anything too drastic for me, just left like a dark streak, but it also wasn't all over the page or anything. There were like maybe 3 total in the entire book. But yeah definitely use water instead haha
    I also have one for home as like a scrap paper note thing, since I don't need those notes forever. It's great
    *I never thought about using it as a space for planning out spreads though, that's actually really great. I might actually start doing that instead of wasting paper
    *one last edit I swear - only because I also spray the page instead of the cloth haha I ain't got time, I'm SPRAYING THE WHOLE DAMN PAGE. Hasn't caused any issues for me xD

    Watching this a year after you made it... love your enthusiasm. I bought the Rocketbook Fusion a couple of weeks ago. Packaging was different, no space ice cream! Just regular cardboard packaging. Now I'm thinking I need the folio to keep from bending it or losing the pen and cloth.

    I just got my first rocketbook - and I was delighted to discover they use Frixion pens! I've been using these pens for years. Writing/erasing definitely disappears with heat and returns with cold, but I think in the rocketbook they might not come back since we're using water to remove the ink, rather than friction to make the ink disappear...

    • @markyourpages
      @markyourpages  5 месяцев назад

      I had someone share that they lost their work in a hot car - but brought it back with cold. But yes, if you wipe it away, it's done. So capturing it before you do it key.

  • @FreeSpokenOne
    @FreeSpokenOne Год назад +1

    So it's true! I saw someone say they erase in a hot car. Now I need to find out if you can recover notes as you said by putting them in the freezer. I wanted to get one for a friend who makes deliveries so they can write reminders, addresses, and so forth but it doesn't sound practical for this use as it would be in a car used in sunny California. It's a shame they don't work with a pen that uses less sensitive ink instead. Thanks for your great and full review, very nice.

    • @markyourpages
      @markyourpages  Год назад

      It sounds like it needs to be pretty hot to make that happen - but I haven’t tried it myself yet to see what happens.

    The freezer thing does work. When I first got frixion pens, I was doing my masters degree. All of my notes disappeared after I left my notes in my car. I called frixion and asked and they suggested the freezer idea. Totally saved the day. Whew!
    Great video
    Can you make one on making templates or by unbinding and rebinding (or even mixed binding) your planner?
    Thanks! 👍

    While the packaging is cool, it’s rather wasteful with a lot of unnecessary plastic that doesn’t seem to serve a purpose (it’s not like it’s fresh produce that needs to be protected). Truly innovative would be to create a similarly cool packing that doesn't use all that plastic. Rocketpeople, mission accepted? ;-)
