Dude, they totally came up with the "Beacons" idea because of you. I hope you got some credit. Stay blessed with your brilliant incentive mind and continue to bless other. Thank you for this video.
Thanks Ri! I like to think they came up with it because of me :) The Rocketbook team is awesome and have given me some love :)
They totally did 😆
Would have loved to have a teacher like you who takes this much care in their job!
I agree! I appreciate all teachers but you can tell he goes above and beyond.
Can Rocketbook hire this guy? I would absolutely buy some of these products, rather than make them. Brilliant!
The $15 rocket beacons do all these whiteboard hacks for you.
@@blastblast8301 Those weren't available two years ago when this was made.
@@BradHuebner1 that may be true but they are now and by leaving my comment here, the hope is that someone will save themselves from doing all of this extra work.
@@blastblast8301 he also had that cool "rocketbook anything frame" that's pretty creative!
And the beacons, as far as I have seen, just got em today, they don't have multiple destination icons and you can't send anything automatically, to but one place with beacons still.
If you can, as I just got these lil things today, please say otherwise!
@@MichaelWilliams-gr3ys Also, I imagine the beacons are mostly designed for larger frames, not US Letter/A4 type areas. It seems easier to drop a pre-made 4-sided frame over a piece of paper than position 4 independent beacons at the corners. Do you agree? I'm just trying to imagine it.
We NEED more teachers like you. Watching this video medicated my ADD.
Came across this review while considering getting a rocketbook. You seem like an incredible teacher; we are so lucky to have you out there educating the next generation! :)
Dang!! I am honestly BEYOND IMPRESSED.....So happy I clicked on the video. You had me at the edge of my seat lol. I loved it every time you stepped out of the frame and kept coming back with insanely cool ideas....GREAT JOB!!!!
This is such great tips! I took ur mini rocket window idea and did a spin on it. I cut the template page and taped it to the outside of a binder with slide in cover. Then my kids can slide in hand written sheets in the cover, and scan it. I covered the tokens, boarder, and QR code with clear shipping tape.
dude I would so buy you a coffee and maybe even lunch right now. I am a "guest" teacher who teaches healthy relationships in several counties. I came upon your video researching a way to do my attendance using rocket board. You have answered that and beyond. Thank you so so so much. New subscriber for realz!
This was full of great ideas for making the rocketbook work for various needs! You inspired me to make a blown up version of the bottom section so that it is 8.5" long, printed on heavy card stock, cut and covered with packing tape, then adhered to a thick 9x12 black foam board with a hot glue gun so that office meeting notes in my rocketbook can be bundled with any supplemental printouts simply by placing those on top of the foam and scanning. This way the notes and support materials are all together in the same PDF!
This is brilliant, you should work for rocketbook!:-)
I never comment on RUclips videos, but I happen to think the Rocketbook is genius and will be using Rocketbooks in my science classrooms this year. The ideas you shared in this video are fantastic. Thank you for sharing!!!!!!!!
This is a great example of teachers teaching more than the lesson. You are teaching a way of seeing things organically. Thanks for sharing and good luck in your teaching career!
I have confidence in the future of our world knowing there are teachers like you teaching our kids. Love your ingenuity!!!
This makes me think students could even use "##student-name##" or "##project-name##" to send you there work for ease of finding of assignments.
You've given me so many ideas for my own work flow in IT. Keep crushing it, brother! Thanks for doing the work of educating our kids.
You are answer to prayer! I wanted several Rocketbooks, but I am disabled, and therefore bedridden most of the time. So I write alot, but am limited to pencils and space pens - - anything that can successfully write at any angle. The Rocketbook and other smart notebooks all use Frixion, which is not conducive to just any angle. In my optimism, I downloaded the app and set up all my little icons anyway, in the hope that I'd somehow make it work.
Your method just made my space pen fall in love with the Rocketbook app, and put me back into production again! Thank you and bless you!!
Because of this video I am now looking at ways to incorporate this into our small warehouse. We still use a lot of paper forms and can't really justify investing in a whole new system, particularly because we are non-profit. I plan on creating my own template to use with laminated sheets so I can file forms digitally and then reuse the forms. Can't wait to try it out!
Thank you! Mine arrives tomorrow. I am a note taker. I have notebooks on any subject I want to learn or study. And I can never find what I am looking for when I need it. Rocketbook will be the solution to all my future notetaking. But I was going to take pictures of all my binders and notebooks and incorporate them into the same places in cloud services that I will add my future Rocketbook notes. Now I can make the border and bottom icons and start scanning them with Rocketbook too! Yay!
Super smart idea to build a border to scan regular documents, THANK YOU! I'm trying to teach my parents to use rocketbook pages instead of a scanner and that has saved me so much work! The applications for students are really apparent as well, both in the present and in physical classrooms.
This is awesome - You're obviously very passionate about this! Your students are extremely lucky.
Just wanted to say thank you for sharing this, I've just used this method to upload some old notes of mine and will be transferring everything to the Rocketbook soon!
Thank you for posting this! Very helpful to me! The passion you exude is inspiring!
I love this guy! Your students must dig having you as a teacher!! Well done 👍🏻
Have you considered projecting a frame from either a video projector or an old-school overhead projector? This way you could also adjust the size of what you want to scan/digitize.
Great also!!
Then you'd just need one transparency to capture anything.
Create a worksheet with the border and icons with dotted line for cutting out the center then place in a sheet protector for students to use at home.
Just picked up a Rocketbook. These are really excellent ideas. Thanks for sharing, sir!
I was thinking of doing this to the worksheets my professors hand out to me. Seen you actually do it only gave me more ideas of how I can do it. Thanks!!
Wow, these are brilliant ideas, and I had no idea about the pages for download. Thank you!
I just got my first rocketbook around two weeks ago. All of the stuff you have done here is just brilliant! I would of never thought of all of this! Thanks for the great hacks!
You rock! I just ordered by first RocketBook last night. These are cool ideas and great applications in a learning environment. Kudos to you!
Thank you so much. I just ordered my first rocket book and now I know I can upload my older things as needed!
Late to the party, but kudos to you man! This is BRILLIANT! You’ve inspired me to see if I can’t do this on non-square areas - such as the length of a full white board. I’m going to also check out those “beacons”. Kudos to you man!!
Genius! I am amazed. Thank you for taking the time to develop these.
You are an amazing teacher. Thanks for sharing this with us!
Joe you are brilliant! Thanks so much for these tips.
Oh my gosh this is fantastic! I just got a Rocketbook today. I am a math teacher and I can see many ways I can use your ideas. Thank you so much for sharing them! You rock.
This is awesome! Thank you for taking the time to film this
Well done, Joe!!
This is so cool! I’m glad to see rocketbook making its way into a wider range of uses.
Dude. 1) You're brilliant. 2) THANK YOU for sharing your files!!!!! I think I love you. 💘
Wow, such awesome suggestions! And kudos to you as a teacher to show your students how to be organized. This is something that they will carry with them forever.
This is real genius - taking something which is already great and making it even better! And the enthusiasm you have is great too, thanks for making this video 😊
I've been looking to buy a rocketbook! Now im really sold! Kudos for the creativity!!! And for being what's sounds to be an awesome teacher!
I love this so much! Thank you for sharing!
Oh my goodness! These are amazing tips! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! This is an excellent resource for teachers scrambling to get online learning going for their students.
This is fantastic! Great job!
Thank you so much for sharing your ideas!!
Wow! This is one of the best videos I’ve seen! I love how you showed your thinking, and excitement about the product. You went ahead to show how it could better meet your needs as an educator and others. Thanks for sharing and that was the bomb video! I think I need to checkout a few more of your videos and decide if I will subscribe. 🥰🤩
I am glad you're a teacher!!! brilliant!
This is SO SMART! Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas.
I started digitizing old notes on old notebooks with a template around it as you suggested… thanks!!!
Great ideas!!!! I loved it… thank you for sharing!!!
Amazing ideas. I had made a cutout for the refrigerator before I saw your video. I place it over everything and scan with the RB app. This is the coolest tech.
You are so clever and such an innovative teacher - Thank you so much for sharing
Thanks much for your creative ideas. That's what I call thinking outside the box! ;)
Great job!! I was looking for this video
You are fantastic! Such great ideas - thank you.
Wow!!! This is awesome!! Thanks so much for sharing your ideas.
I would love to have had you as a teacher when I was young. I am a Rocketbook fan and will be using your ideas. A big thanks from Australia.
I’m in awe! These are some AWESOME hacks! I’m so inspired for classes to begin in the fall!
Pure genius and passion; what great attributes when they come together in one human being.
You just made my day! Thank you AnnaMarie :)
Thanks for posting this. I've recently been introduced to the Rocket Book and I love the various hacks around it. THanks again.
Very helpful. I can tell you're a great teacher. I use some of these hacks with a spiral-bound whiteboard notebook (Nu Board is an example) for uploading work. It's also possible to just cover the corners of each page of the notebook with orange electrical tape and the Rocketbook App will treat them like Rocketbook Beacons.
I was just thinking I have hand written journals I’ve written for over 30 years, and documents I could make a Rocket Book templet for and copy my journals and put them all on the cloud, even move some off the preparatory cloud programs and into my dropbox... The possibilities endless thank you, thank you, thank you, what a talented young man you are, more! more! more! please!
You are brilliant! I'm starting with RocketBook this year. I see so much potential for digitizing student drawings.
This is incredible! So many amazing ideas teachers can implement immediately! Thank you!
Used your template to make an A3 (double sized) pocketbook page, laminated it- and pilot frixion felt tip markers work on it just fine (don't even need to use whiteboard markers). Means I have a rocketbook that I can use for big groups. Thanks! (and thanks rocketbook)
Great ideas! Thanks for sharing them!
I like your window! I just made a mini one myself and then decided to google to see if anyone had better ways to do it and found this. They have a new rocketboard product coming -- restickable corner markers you can put on any whiteboard. It's in the kickstarter phase now!
Absolutely brilliant! Thanks for sharing. :)
Amazing!!! You’re a wonderful resourceful educator!! Bravo 👏🏽
You, my friend... are a freaking genius... seriously how are you this creative?! Thank you!!!!!
This is genius. Thank you so much for sharing!
This is brilliant! Especially now with working or learning distantly due to pandemic. Thank you for sharing all of your ideas!
You, sir, a gold! This is awesome and evidence that you love your job and take it very seriously. Thank you!!!
Outstanding! Your hacks are the best I've seen yet on RUclips! You should start a blog and then include its URL in the description or the video.
Would you consider selling these hacks? I love the one that allows you to digitize already existing notebook pages or even documents (e.g. rental agreements, leases, etc). You have an outstanding real world example of: Necessity is the Mother of Invention! You had an educational necessity and you invented something so great many other professions could use it. I could see lawyers, architects, etc using your foam boards daily.
If you don't want to make and sell them, please, do a video on step by stop making them with specific items that make them up.
You, sir, are brilliant. This was great. :)
Way cool- never thought of doing those ideas. Very cool.
Glad I found this! Just bought one. Great tool! Thank you.
Love your ingenuity
Dude, that dry erase rocket board hack is genius
I love that rocket book window that would be perfect for saving anchor charts!
Awesome video! My favorite is the RocketWindow!! Kudos!
You seem like an awesome teacher. Great tips too. ty
Great video, brother. Thanks for making this. My RocketBook comes in the mail tomorrow!
Thanks for sharing these creative hacks, Joe! Love my Rocketbooks! Your hacks take everything a giant step forward for classroom use! I also find it useful to place smaller items, such as business cards, note cards, article clippings, post-it notes, half sheets of paper, etc., on top of the free PDFs (or in the actual Rocketbook) to capture information. Keep up the great work!!! #GTAATX14
Super creative man, good job! Love to figure out a way for calligraphy!
You are brilliant! I love these hacks so much! Can't wait to try them.
Man, you're crazy - in a good way! Great tipps, cool stuff!
Buddy you are awesome!! Well Done 👍
Wow, those are all such amazing hacks. You know, I'm curious if the black boarder with the images on the bottom are patented. It would be really cool to have the symbol and algorithm for image recognition, added as open source standards for image capture. Some interesting concepts can be done with that, like having symbols send the scanned image to the device that scanned it itself, or even tying the QR codes to server to create a new, image driven version of the internet. That'd almost be like a glorified version of the QR code with image parsing and hosting as added features.
I think that some of the ways this isn't being marketed but should be is to parents of young art creating kids.
This would be a way for parents to digitize, preserve, archive, and also display their kids art over the course of their lives.
You could set up an email address or a Google drive address or a Google photos account for each child or each member of the family. And use either the borders like these or the rocket book beacons that I think are like 15 bucks that are designed to do the same thing as these borders do, and save all of your kids artwork digitally so you don't feel quite as bad about throwing out 400 pieces of paper every 2 months.
you could also back them up to Google photos and have that photos file link to either stream on a family website, an artist's site that you create for your kids, as a digital photo frame for the household TV or family member and so much more.
I think we're only beginning to see the possibilities that exist with this technology and I wish I saw more of this in the mainstream.
My wife retired as a math teacher after 32 years. I wish this was around when she was teaching. Great Hack.
Impressive!! Nice job!!
Thanks to your video I just discovered that drawing a black frame enhances drastically the process on any scanning app. So, I just write on any surface, draw a black frame, scan it with my smartphone, and I can send it or save it anywhere. Thanks!
My dude. You are amazingly brilliant!
Thank you so much for these hacks!! Brilliant!
Joe, Thank you. You are a genius. You teach your kids, and you teach us. Good luck.
You are awesome! Thank you!
Thank you. You must be a great teacher. It shows here in the video.
Very very cool and innovative!!! Thank you for sharing these hacks!
Awesome ideas! I shared this video in my school community!
I'm just learning about RocketBook and was just today, trying to figure out how to add my son's schoolwork. This is it!!!
