WE ACTUALLY DID IT!!! From finding this car 2 years ago, getting it running 15 years later, and now we finally got the Tokyo Drift Evo to JAPAN! We have SO MUCH planned while this car is out here and i can't wait to take you guys along. In today's video, we pick up the Tokyo Drift Evo from the Japanese port and get it ready for Fuel Fest!

Oh man, this is so exciting. gotta say, the level of energy from Dut and Masa when it sunk in that the car was really in tokyo on the streets was fantastic. very excited to see all the content and you ripping the evo at mt fuji. also really fun to see a USDM car in japan with the missippi plates still on it! thats so neat. i know some guys in japan import USDM cars but thats so neat. people will be geeking over that!
I like how Dustin bought a GTR and had a bunch of adventures in it, then every other automotive youtuber copies him. So he brings a car to Japan that nobody else has, and nobody can copy.

17:30 About the houses, Daytona-House in Japan has an apartment complex exactly like that, it is a one and car garage on the bottom with a small apartment and loft on top, plus it has a complex shared car washing station. The apartments are crazy nice too, you should totally check them out!!!!

As Tokyo Drift also being my favorite F&F movie, it's so awesome u were, 1 able to find the car and 2 now to being able to ship it home to Japan is awesome. Finding ur channel in 2019 I wouldn't have thought u would become 1 of my favorites. Ur living a lot of our car dreams and we are here for it. Hopefully you're able to take it to HKS and completely upgrade the parts. Japan trips have become the best stuff to watch!!

When you picked up the grab arm thing I immediately said it's a LHD car so you need that for tolls and stuff and it's a car through Top Rank that's why it's at customs. When I was thinking about the jerry can I was like nah the Evo has a fuel cell ain't no way you're really bringing the car that started your love with cars and kind of Japan as well to your favourite place.

And what I am especially happy with is that you're going to drive it everywhere. That it isn't going to be a trailer queen. What I am looking forward to the most is seeing the reactions of people. Both on the "Movie car" spectrum but also with it being a time capsule build. I hope to see a lot of them. Finally I also have a question. In the U.S. and also here in the Netherlands, Tokyo Drift had a profound impact on the car culture. We even had "Tokyo Drift events". But what was the impact in Japan itself?
