Over the last few years, Florida homeowners have all felt the pinch of increasing property insurance rates. Now, car insurance rates are on the rise too.
We are battling both car insurance spike and home owners insurance spike..on a fixed income we are concerned for our future and those around us... Praying for better days❤🙏
So basically what they’re telling us they increase the price because of where we live, but they’re not gonna show how much they’re profiting off of us this is honestly a scam at this point
My renewal just said I need to pay $440 or a little over $2,000 for 6 months. My last 6 months was $1300. Literally age doesn't matter anymore. I'm 29, no accidents, no tickets. Yea, I'm glad I found someone who can do liability for $50 every 6 months. I would rather save money to fix my car, etc. That dumping into an mega insurance company that barely take care of anything. I know the game now. Time to win.
I have a clean driving record and i'm 39. The insurance company I am with now, about a year and a half ago I was paying about $650 for full coverage for my 2020 Chevy impala. 6 months later it shot up to 863. 6 months after that, 980. Now they are telling me my premiums for the same car and same coverage, clean driving record are almost $1600 for 6 months. I always pay the 6 month premium. This is ridiculous.
My grandad is 92 years old and never had a ticket or lapsed in coverage,he doesn’t drive much & his auto insurance is ridiculous on his old truck. What the hell is going on with these unregulated insurance companies??!!!
They're trying to recoup the money they lost to hurricane payouts in Texas and Florida. I pay insurance for my niece, $2600 dollars for six months of insurance. Jesus help me.
@PrivateSmiles that's not fair. The economy is going up and in Texas. We haven't had a good pay raise in years. Everyone is making the same income as everything else is going up.
so you NEED to have car insurance but also the price of the insurance can go up whenever? how is this not a scam

Hell yea it has. They wanted me to pay $2,000 for 6 months vs $1300 from my last months. Yea I'm not renewing that policy.

I have a 2008 Honda accord - paid for and I’m paying $130 a month for just liability
Might as well drive whitout car insurance,if the cop asking for it I will be like you going to help me pay for it?
Your asking the wrong question.
Why not?
No accidents or tickets in over four years with basically nothing before that. Up every year.
Good drivers with no claims are paying for others. Always been that way, except now they need us to pay for illegals too
So, what the heck can we do???😢
I thought I was the only one insurance is ridiculous congress should intervene
Break up FICO!! Problem solved!!
