Experience the transformative power of windows, bringing the outside world into the comfort of your own home. Windows act as blank canvases, framing breathtaking landscapes and offering a source of warmth and fresh air. They connect us to the outside world, instilling a sense of belonging to something greater. A window is a gateway to the unexpected.
So why not embrace the unexpected and create a home with floor-to-ceiling windows on its facade? Introducing the Window Loft. With a bold concept of featuring a large window that encompasses the entire house, including the living room, kitchen, and bedroom, this design fits perfectly on a small plot of just 90m² / 968ft². The loft concept seamlessly blends integrated spaces, double-height ceilings, and mezzanines - principles commonly found in lofts.
In the Window Loft, we opted for natural and raw materials, creating a striking contrast within the house. The connection between the external and internal environments is accentuated by the juxtaposition of warm light streaming through the expansive window and the coolness of exposed concrete. The main volume of the house is constructed with exposed concrete, complemented by a large pivot window on the facade. To maintain focus on the concrete, we utilized black accents for the social entrance.
Rustic is the defining characteristic of this house, combining simplicity and timeless materials - a perfect blend for an industrial style. The combination of double-height ceilings and the expansive window creates an illusion of spaciousness, filling the compact spaces with abundant natural light.
Don't be fooled, though. The daring facade design ensures privacy and temperature control. Each panel of the window can be individually moved, allowing for selective ventilation on colder days. Additionally, by combining the window with blackout curtains, you can envelop the entire facade, safeguarding your privacy.
Of course, a bold facade like this deserves a beautiful backdrop, whether it's perched atop a hill with panoramic city views or nestled amidst a lush natural reserve. The possibilities for breathtaking landscapes are endless.

WHAT IS A LOFT?
Lofts are houses with a single integrated environment, that is living room, kitchen, and bedroom belong to the same environment without any walls. Usually, the bedroom is positioned on a mezzanine. This type of house is ideal for single people or couple because of these characteristics.

Aesthetic-wise, this home looks amazing... But unfortunately i notice some impracticality on the design.
1. U can't use the bar in the garage, unless the car is out for a drive.
2. The toilet ceiling was unnecessarily high... They could have use the upper portion to maximize the loft area.
3. The curtain wall was kind of a hazard to the occupants. When opened, its opening could fit a full size door... And yet there were no guards or whatsoever to prevent the occupants from falling to the outside.. Especially with how the stairs was oriented. One mistake of slipping, the next thing you know, you'll be lying on the ground outside the house
I agree with you, I just want to add: The curtain wall should pivot from waist high glass frame instead of pivoting from the floor. This would allow it to open, without occupants falling a metre to the sloped garage. Also electric curtain pulls. (The fire escape ladder leads to nowhere and is pointless.
5. The Kitchen: Having the cooktop directly behind seated occupants heads is a hazard. Swapping the sink and cooktop would be practical. A raised kitchen bar for dining should replace the table. (Following my next points you'll see why you'll be able to fit a dining table in the space).
6. Outdoor/Laundry: This space in my opinion should be removed and the kitchen/main floor extended out. The Laundry machines stacked and placed in the bathroom area with a minor extension of the space behind a closet door, (here is where systems/HVAC for the property should also be).
7. The bathroom/Bedroom: Ceiling is too high, and a waste of useable space for the bedroom above. A walk in closet would grant more floor space in the bedroom. With the building being extended back (over the former laundry) This space could be the access to the rooftop via a spiral stair or other means.
8. The Rooftop: Something no one is mentioning, this is valuable space that should double as the outdoor/garden entertaining space. Glass railings with planters lounge seating and perhaps an outdoor sink/range for bbq along the rear wall.
Agree with you. There's some unnecessary things on the design of the house and also interior design. Like the powder room no need high ceilings and tall mirror.
4 - you can't cook with people seated at the table (on the bench)... you fry a beef on your visitor's neck.
Another way to fix the windows opening onto a fall problem is to have a balcony out there over the driveway and use the opening as an intentional door. It probably couldn’t be a big balcony because of the way the driveway slopes, but enough to have some plants for a small bit of privacy
5 - No women in skirts can visit, especially if there are guys by the bar

This is beautiful but only in a civilized society like Japan, Korea, Sweden etc...I wish this was possible in the U.S

Hi I have a CRAZY, CRAZY idea. Can you make a "POST APOCALYPTIC or Zoombieproof-inspired" (aka The Fortress) 90 SQM. 3-storey house design (w/ roofdeck) and if possible,w/ high ceilings? Thank you very much in advance.
It isn't Zombieproof with all that glass. It does need a roof deck and if the powder room ceiling wasn't so high, there could have been a walk in closet.

It is modern and minimalist but I would need Robo cop to patrol this exterior 24/7! Zero privacy and minus zero security!

Love this design - but so many questions...why is there a pay phone outside the house? Do these even exist anymore? Why is the cactus dancing near the garage? Why is one of the stools different? Did they run out of budget?

I absolutely love 💕 this design! I like the tall walls, doors and the industrial feel makes it very unique and creative. To me this isn’t a tiny home where you are trying to maximize space, but it gives off more of a luxury vibe. That being said I don’t particularly care for the glass floor by the front door, other than that it’s beautiful. Thanks for posting.

Looks like I will flood the bathroom floor when I shower lol. Will be real interesting when I am in the garage bar and someone with a dress/skirt on rings the doorbell. Does that ladder lead to nothing? Is that vent a secret escape hatch??
Not really with the shower, I have one just like that at home, the floor is tilted down toward the back wall so it creates an illussion of a continuous floor but the water flows naturally to the horizontal drain on the back. The skylight on the bar that I agree is really idiotic, and that metal ladder you see there I asume leads to where tha water tank is, its usually for maintenance, quite common in Latin America.
Not good use of space.

Es buena la intención pero mala ejecutacion, ya que hay muchos espacios desperdiciados o con poca privacidad con los vecinos o la calle. No creo que las ventanas a doble altura deban abrirse así, la ventana completa en la tina hace que te conozcan hasta los más oscuros rincones jajaja.

Uhhh, first of all you wouldnt have garage like that if you live in parts of the world where theres a lot of rain, and if you would, you'd have drainage canales. I have a similar garage and it never got flooded

This is terrible design. Why would i walk those giant glass doors to a 9 foot drop. Such a safety hazard especially for kids

At this point the bike on the wall has been done to death now, its a cliche. Hell even the vintage lamp is overdone, but I still like that piece on account of my work. Overall the place looks great

as some one who has gone through so manys of architecture degree have to say the render is good but man a lot of the designs here flawed and it just isn't practical

It's a design to inspire. To contruct this house you may have to adequate the project to de codes in your city.
