But I do like that they gave him some good qualities, such as his sense of honor, respect for opponents, and desire for a fair fight.
How so? The people who he was fighting were drugged and he was afraid of the one guy who wasn't drugged and he was afraid, that was pretty pathetic if you ask me

The last fight between those two was one of the most realistic looking 1 on 1 combat scenes ive ever seen in a movie.. it looked spot on like a real fight between two actual rivals. nothing was off put, every blow look as if it actually landed and hurted. well done Denis V.
You’ve gotta give credit to the actors as well. They are the ones actually fighting. They learned to fight and practiced a ton in order to do the fight themselves, no stunt doubles. But yeah the choreography was spot on. Their skill shines through while the fight is still “dirty” like it would be IRL.
They learned some sort of knife and stick fighting developed in the Philippines called Kali if I remember correctly. Especially those two I think had to learn it and practice the choreography
Only thing that wasn’t realistic was the giant mid air barrel roll other than that it was a flawless realistic fight scene (that barrel roll was still dope asl to see tho 🤣)

The whole black and white sequence was truly stunning. One of the neatest sequences in an incredible film overall. Major props to the whole cast and crew on this one 😮💨👌🏻
Man those two mirror each other so well in the film. You can see it just before the fight scene where Paul uses his spiritual subjugation and Rautha is taken aback but is interested because that is the power he is seeking for. Paul isn’t the only one with that ability both Reverend Mother are capable as well as the infant. The spiritual aspect of the film is a nice touch. I wanted them to dive more into it but I guess I’m reading the novel
Really hope they can at least put out the first three books onto film before it’s all said and done. Don’t think it’s plausible, but the last three deserve movies as well, one can only hope!
Feyd was perfectly portrayed in my eyes. Creepy and brutal. Psychotic and unsettling. My biggest complaint with Dune part 2 is that we didn’t get to see more of Feyd/The Baron
I love how this movie uses essentially no gore, and very little blood. And yet it still accomplished being one of the most intense movies I’ve ever seen. What a film.
He was terrifying in the movie even before the arena scene, just from his movements and expression. Seeing those dead eyes that light up during a kill marked the traits of a Harkonnen, and that unbearable tension in that scene where he took up the knife...was quite an experience
My gosh dude, the fight choreography in this film - especially between Paul and Feyd-Rautha - was just indescribably well done. Going to the theatre again just to experience this a second time.
I came in expecting just a one note, psychotic villain, but was pleasantly surprised at the odd layers of Austin's Fyed. That sliver of love he had for his fallen opponent in the arena, and slight respect in his mockery of Paul, was something to behold in his character.
I love the way Timothee phrased that. Paul as the bass line and Feyd-Rautha as the riff is a great analogy. Butler's performance was phenomenal. He stole every single scene he was in. The voice was incredible and the way he moved was unreal.
I’ve seen both versions of Feyd Rautha before this and hands down, the BEST version is right here in Austin Butler. He nailed it, and he gave a purpose to Feyd Rautha as more than just the mad dog his uncle lets loose.
Austin really pulled forward with his role to the point i had to remember he was him. Brilliant. Pt 2 was stunning all around from editing, directing, producing, makeup, costume, writing, and the talented actors/actresses. Couldnt ask for more tbh.
