    You are so enjoyable to watch! Thanks for the tip about Dimensions and audiobooks. For me, the voice is so important so I'll have to do some searching. I love that you are doing hand dyed fabric in lieu of the background in some of your full coverage. Of course, it depends on the design but I've always thought for some designs, it would be an efficient strategy and more people might actually finish things. I love your Red Riding Hood too. Thanks for sharing and take care.

    Hey sam!!! Thank you for the lovely shout out too! I LOVE the idea of making Victorian charm spooky! I think that’s fab idea. Another fabulous video and I’m loving all your wips. Thanks for the heads up about CutepatternsbyMaria! She has some beautiful designs! I think your 'rethink' about how you're going to sew on your projects sounds like a great idea! Saving the mindless, boring, one-color stitching for those quiet times at work really might help you get through those projects that you lost some interest in and give you some more joy!

Totally get what you mean with the full coverages too I have a huge piece and have no motivation to work on it anymore it the artwork is beautiful 😍 also was very tempted to start that Aimee Stewart fairytale pattern too when it was released but the size of it put me off, can’t wait to see your progress in it!

    Hi Sam! I'm so glad it worked for you and that you received the pdfs. That was super quick of them too! Even if you end up with it not on PK and just on a pdf viewer, it's a game changer right? Glad it worked.
    Thank you for mentioning the Stitchy Ferret too.. Another rabbit hole for me to go down 🤦🏼‍♀️

    I am so with you, stitching white on white!!! 🤨🤨🤨 When I finally finished the thousands of stitches of white on Lacemaker by Artecy it was Hallelujah time. I only have 270 white stitches left in the lower part of the pattern! I thought I would either go crazy or throw it in the trash 😁
    Where did you get that cat needleminder on your cat HAED?
    I love it, the cat says “What!” 😂
    I have used Sulky Threads and to me they cover best on 32 and 36 Ct. They will work on 28 but are a little sparse and they will work on 40 Ct as well as 25 over one but are a little squishy. Of course everything depends on your fabric and what you like, just been my experience.
    I have to ask again (even though you said it) Dimensions kits will send you a pdf that uploads to Pattern Keeper? Hallelujah again! I so dislike working off of Dimensions paper patterns that I scanned it into PK and spent the time putting it together. (It took forever!) So what a game changer that would be!
    Really enjoyed your video. Good luck on your goals! 💕💕💕

      Hi Colette, thanks so much for watching! Oooh so maybe the Sulkys might not be the best choice for this one 🤦‍♀️ I’ll see what the coverage is like. I’m doing 2 over 2 full cross so maybe I can do 1 over 1 for those sections. We’ll see. I can’t remember where I got the needle minder. It was from a UK seller in Etsy, I got it about a year ago. The pdf for Dimensions is going to mean I’m going to be doing a lot more kits I think. They were really good and emailed back so quick.

      @@LittleLoopsStitching So what is the procedure for getting the pdf from dimensions? Do you go to their website and email them? Do you have to show them a picture of the dimensions kit so they know you already bought it? Or do you pay another fee for a pdf? Sorry for all the questions 😂 Thanks!

    There, I’m all caught up with your videos. I also have the Dimensions Victorian Charm kit still in my stash as I’m a bit intimidated by it, but I did scoot over to Lauren’s channel to see it. Thanks for the tip, I now subscribed and will begin looking at her videos as well.
    Thanks again for a fun video, and cheers for now from Eastern 🍁 Canada 🇨🇦
    PS i just started using Sulky on some sampler projects. Sulky 12 weight is thicker than cotton DMC and therefore 1 strand of Sulky is almost equivalent to 2 strands of DMC. I’ve used it for 2 projects so far: a Quaker tile rainbow band type in which I used solid and blendable (variegated), and in Quinto Acuto - the Pointed Fifth by Long Dog Sampler in which I’m using one solid colour. I find the coverage very good, using just 1 strand. Hope you enjoy them as well, let us know what you think of them when you get to use them.

    Thank you so much ! With the Sulky threads, use just one strand as its equivalent to one and a half strands of DMC. They are amazing to work with and alot cheaper as you can buy straight from sulky and a king spool is under £4. Quick delivery too. Happy stitching x

    Thank you so much for the kind words!!!!! I LOVE stitching to audiobooks. The best. For me, the narrators voice is the most important thing. Some i know i love the subject matter but cant stand the voice. All your WIPs are looking incredible. The box of patterns you have, have you printed out the entire patterns? I cant decide if i should do that or not. I print out the cover and the dmc lists and how the pages go together, but not the entire pattern

    • @LittleLoopsStitching
      @LittleLoopsStitching  2 года назад

      Oooh you’ll have to let me know if there’s any audio books you would recommend. So it depends on the pattern. My full coverage wips just have the front cover, I like to have a reference image to hand. The smaller/medium projects I tend to print the whole thing, especially if it has backstitch. I do it just in case I want to take me project with me but can’t necessarily work from my tablet.

    Hello, Dizzy Stitcher recommended you on his channel and I'm sure glad he did. I'm now a subscriber. Loved your wips and I especially loved your elephant needle minder. I have the exact same one and I also have the giraffe. Love both them so I'm so happy to see others have them also. I understand what you mean about getting those full coverage pieces finished. You mentioned that you can do 1000 stitches a night, how many hours of stitching is that? I average about 700 a day but that is a good 8 hours of stitching. What's your secret to such speedy results?

    • @LittleLoopsStitching
      @LittleLoopsStitching  2 года назад

      Hi Sally! I wondered why I’d had a sudden uptake in subscribers. I’ve had had the opportunity to watch Darren’s Flosstube yet but I will be sending him my appreciation. So for my full coverage projects I average 250 stitches an hour. I usually stitch for around 4 hours a night. I stitch tent stitch and use the loop start method which I think makes a huge difference to my speed. Also I try not to have any distractions. I usually stitch with my headphones on or in a room on my own. If I’m watching tv it’s a lot slower. I guess I have just found a rhythm that seems to work. My full cross projects are a lot slower.

    • @pitownsally2795
      @pitownsally2795 2 года назад

      @@LittleLoopsStitching I also stitch tent on full cross but I usually am watching something on the computer so that may be my problem right there, LOL. I think I'm going to try stitching while listening to audiobooks and see that speeds things up. Thanks for the input. It's much appreciated.

      @@pitownsally2795 changing to audiobooks has increased my stitching speed. Although I tried to stitch while watch Bridgerton last night and barely got 50 stitches per episode. I was glued to it 😆 Getting in the ‘zone’ is definitely my way of stitching more.

    where is the best place to get your fabric from and threads? I want to start a Haed but I've never tackled anything that big before. I dont know how to figure out how big I need the fabric. how to figure out the dimensions. I want to do an aimiee Stewart designs one.

      what size fabric did you get for your Aimee Stewart design and what ct is it? I want to do mine in either 2 over 1 or 1 over 1 tent stitch

    • @LittleLoopsStitching
      @LittleLoopsStitching  2 года назад +1

      Hi Brittany. It can be quite daunting at first can’t it. I live in the UK and I’ve found the cheapest place to purchase fabric and DMC is Lakeside Needlecraft. I got the regular size Aimee Stewart. On the chart info it has the stitch count, so how many stitches for the width and height. I use a free app called XStitchCalc. I think it is available on IOS and Android. You simply put the stitch count into the app and what fabric count you want to use. It will then give you the size of the fabric you need including the recommended 2 inch border. I have stitched all my full coverage projects on 28 count stitching 2 over 1 tent stitch. I prefer gridded fabric so I can’t easily track where I am on the chart. If you haven’t got it already I highly recommend pattern keeper for marking your completed stitches. I think the app is about £10 but it is a one off payment however it only works on IOS. I really hope this helps. Happy stitching xx

      Oooh I forgot to say, I learnt everything by watching 4 videos by Teresa The Little Stitcher. They are focused on everything you need to know before you start a full coverage. It has everything from where to get your products, pattern keeper, fabric choice, floss storage and how to calculate your fabric size. Everything I learnt was from these videos.
