Thats why i loved the Horizon 3 map and i usually love NFS' maps. They are smaller and have more detail. I think FH4's map is okay, FH5 has amazing places, but most of the map just feels like a filler apart from the great places
@@peytontreadway5096 this is just wrong. FH5’s map is way too big to have essentially nothing in it like it does. Just feels completely flat and lifeless if you ask me
The roads in FH4 are really under appreciated. The flow super well along with lots of elevation changes and scenery with dense bushes and trees along the side of the roads. Most the roads in FH5 are just a straight line then a corner then a straight line then a corner over and over again. Edit: also the V12 engine swap for the 850CSi sounds insane, just don’t put on race turbos cause they are annoying, sport turbos are good though
Idk if anyone is gonna see this but I’ve been hella dedicated to this game, from getting every backstage car to every rare car you can’t get anymore. Anyways, yesterday I come across a Forza Edition Ford Capri and it actually made my day, it’s just before my birthday and I’d like to think someone blessed me without the perfect birthday gift. Needless to say this game is now my favorite in the series and I can’t stop playing FH4 please never let this game die :(
I do agree with you on what you said for the first 3 minutes, FH4 has more stuff near each other instead of driving across the map for something on Mexico. The season changes the whole map. Mexico only has the top of the volcano.
i remember that i used to be so bad at drifting in FH4 because from the very beginning, i drove using sim steering. When i started wanting to drift, i couldn't understand how people were doing it until i changed to normal steering. Love your content DUBS! You're goated at the Horizon games!
@@Emper0rH0rde its easier for me. what normal steering does (if you dont already know), is it causes the wheels to steer slower and there is a slight delay in the steering response. when youre drifting, its easier (for most people) to catch it since the car steers much slower. the reason people use sim steering for point drifting is because there is less delay in the steering and you can snap the car from side to side faster which gives you more points because its more time that the car is staying sideways instead of straight.
The FH4 density allows you to reach one landmark or location and still be able to see other landmarks and locations. FH5's larger map but lower density means most locations you can just see that location, there's no sense of relative scale and being part of the world. IMO
Best car sounds were honestly in Forza horizon 2. They were so loud and honestly really realistic. Like the Audi R8 sounded proper and aggressive, but now it’s just wimpy. Hopefully they rework car sounds in the next game
Mexico map is full of natural landmarks besides being huge, thats why it feels empty, compared to fh4 which has a lot of architectural charm. But i get why people love fh4 map, its a big circle and feels more cohesive
I went back and played this after your first video. I got this game day one and when I went to 5, I didn't think it was vastly difference play wise. I was wrong. The physics and driving is vastly different. 5 is so much better as far as driving goes.
For me the best map will always be FH3, It had city, desert, jungle, swamp, long sweeping turns, fast stretches, fun technical races, good drift roads. Really just was the best of everything!
The map was considerably smaller than Horizon Mexico, or even Horizon UK, but the *density* of it made it feel like it was actually the size of Australia.
Hi Dubs, since Forza Horizon 2's online servers are being shut down this August you might want to try and get a last bit of play in (if your Xbox version still works) before the servers shut down for good!
Hey what do you know a game where the shifter/paddles actually work, the game feels so much nicer in my opinion because it feels more relaxed than horizon 5.
what the hell I thought they added at least something in forza 5 but it is like the same game why didnt they just update graphics and release huge mexico dlc with the map and cars and shit I bought forza 5 like 2 weeks ago and I really love it but forza 4 is the same game
@@DUBSmb make the same type of video like you did for the Mercedes’ sls only this time the car is the hoonipigasus made by Ken block and gymkhana if you don’t know the car I’m talking about I mean the hoonigan Porsche

Small map with tons of detail>>>larger map with significantly less detail
It’s going to have lots of large maps in the future
It also is how Mexico is

I love how fh4 has so many more fans now than it did during its actual lifespan
That might be why it still hasn't been de-listed yet.
tbh if that was why, then fh3 would still be listed lol its seemingly a fan-fav
@@Arceusmemesidk-zk7tm Its servers are still up
@Emper0rH0rde you can't buy it digitally tho :(
@@Arceusmemesidk-zk7tm No, but you can still do rivals events, and access community tunes/liveries. Even the auction house is still live.

Is normal steering the easier setting? Because if it is, that sure hasn't been doing *me* any good.

@@jbthemechanic I guess drift zones are just a bitch and a half in Forza Horizon 4. They're *way* easier in Horizon 5.
i have always played on sim steering on both fh4 and fh5
Same, went back to FH4 Yesterday and realised how hard it actually was😂 Back then I didn't notice that
Man I really want them to add that 850csi to Fh5 😢
as someone from england forza is so special to me due to how shit the weather is and it makes it feel so comfy and at home to me like no other game
Oh hell yeah, more please

FH4 is great to get back to ....it's so iconic
The roads are so nice
THE NOSTALGIA!!!!!!!!!
OVERLOAD AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
the problem with fh5 is the player count per server, the map is too big for 100 players
On top of that there are so many forzathon events going on at once its hard to get even 2 players in one

I’m giving fh5 a break for a little wile after seeing this. Such a beautiful and pleasant map.

@@DUBSmbYep that’s what I meant but I probably phrased it badly - just in case you wanted to try online in particular one last time!
FH4 Goliath race is my favorite in all of the games.
This game is and always be a fire good game
Scotland is beautiful 🏴
I am sad we lost Alfa Romeo in FH5.
It's back
This games map feels more alive
The Horizon 4 map feels like you're really driving around England and Scotland. The Horizon 5 map is mostly just wasteland.
I'd pay for a game that has FH4 map with FH5 cars
Some guy on a post came across and said Forza Horizon 5 was too small
Hey what do you know a game where the shifter/paddles actually work, the game feels so much nicer in my opinion because it feels more relaxed than horizon 5.
I forgot what it looked like
when i first playedf fh5 i was shocked 95% of it was just roads in an ugly desert.... detailed britain >>>> deserty mexico
Man... If FH4 could get the newer cars (like GT3, 765LT and upcoming ones) that FH5 got and is going to get, I wouldn't even look at the latter. 😒
Drift zones are *stupid* hard in Horizon 4.
I know. Great isn't it? You know, having to actually get good at something...
the only thing that is turning me away from redownloading fh4 is the car sounds, most of the sound stupidly bad comapred to fh5
FH5 seems to be more geared towards kids whereas FH4 is for more seasoned gamers
kinda feels illegal being this early

Well you are comparing a place that is extremely old and is part of an empire to a much younger place that is connected physically to an empire.

how is forza motorsport 2 better?
