I don't see how any money can be made except perhaps just cleaning the thing up and passing it on. A restoration would be prohibitively expensive, and as he said, would cost more than the car was worth in the end.
50K is good deal on both parties, LMC boys got a good deal there with that old Shelby, I'm actually surprised at the price reminds me of the Bullitt car leave the patina, and just clean it up some....
it alway's blows me away how people can stick something away in a barn, or old garage and not throw a couple blankets, or put a cover over the car...I just shake my head..
It requires some imagination to see the good in such an old car. Lots of time , effort and money needs to be spent before this car gets back on the road. Hopefully there will be profit in this deal. 😊😊😊
Appreciate your open disclosure-- about Prices being revealed...most of these so called car guru's like Dennis Collis...never reveals prices..no problem for me as I am retired classic car dealer with 50yrs experience..but most people have little knowledge about how much to pay for a barn find.
Lol! My grandfather bought a VW Beetle brand new in 63. Drove it until he bought a 72 chevy c-10 with 350 4 barrel. Drove that to work for 2 weeks and then went back to driving the VW. Lol!!!
Its hard to imagine what else could be hiding tucked away in barns , sheds and garages. Well done Gary and Peter. Thanks for sharing. Cheers from Edmonton
Amazing video, you work for 40yrs to have $1M in your retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K into trading from just few months ago and now they are multimillionaires
Hello, I am very interested. As you know, there are tons of investments out there and without solid knowledge, I can't decide what is best. Can you explain further how you invest and earn?
Same, I operate a wide- range of Investments with help from My Financial Adviser. My advice is to get a professional who will help you, plan and enhance your management skills. For the record, working with Ann Marie strunk, has been an amazing experience.
I'm favoured, $90K every week! I can now give back to the locals in my community and also support God's work and the church. God bless America,, all thanks to Ms Ann Marie strunk😊
I think Mike does not brief his clients on realistic prices when selling to people who themselves will resell them. Why pull them out of the garage to not be remotely realistic. Walking away was very wise.
Of course he wants every penny he can get, he’s a broker so he gets a percentage of the deal. I don’t do nearly the amount of business as Peter but I never deal with a middleman, ESPECIALLY a broker.
I'd leave it JUST as they found it and roll it up on the B.J. stage... In a few years. The classic car market is gonna get hammered for a while in the forthcoming crap economy, imho.
I love how they saw ohhh we dont know if its real it mite be a goose chase and they take entire camera crew with them on a maybe???? No i dont think so. Why does everything have to be drama?? Were gearheads were here and interested and watching. Stop lying about this crap.
dude, really?...Virginia most definitely gets snow and they use salt on the roads, or at least they used to back when that Shelby would've been on the road.
Great video. $50k though is insane for a car that needs basically everything. It’s not a GT 500 either, it’s a 350.
LESSON LEARNED IF THERE IS A MIDDLE MAN TRYING TO TALK THE CAR UP THAT NEEDS MAJOR WORK...WALK AWAY !!! ONLY EVER DEAL WITH THE OWNER.

“kept good care of it” might be a bit of a stretch.
Exactly. What happened to the paint?
The Mrs. War painted face has had all the attention 😂 yikes
@@craigyirush3492Sure wasn't kept inside
The lady couldn't sell it fast enough.
Owner says the motor has been rebuilt, buyer says motor has never been out of the car 🤣🤣🤣
"rebuilt" = new crank bearings put in through the bottom and carb rebuilt
it alway's blows me away how people can stick something away in a barn, or old garage and not throw a couple blankets, or put a cover over the car...I just shake my head..
Blanket or tarp in those conditions makes it worse. It will hold in the moisture. It's why Dennis Collins constantly says, "Don't cover them!"
@@mindeloman yet he has a temperature controlled facility not everyone has that.
@michaelcraig4710 no, when he talks about that, he's talking others who don't have a garage and storing outside. It's better to just leave open.
It’s definitely a great car. But $50k is too much.
It requires some imagination to see the good in such an old car. Lots of time , effort and money needs to be spent before this car gets back on the road. Hopefully there will be profit in this deal. 😊😊😊
It depends on the type of restoration in one month i could go through that car mechanically top to bottom . Clean it and drive it !

meant Dennis Collins from Texas ..mr know it all..but i doubt it!!
@@bobbaker9545 Dennis knows how to sell you food, vitamins, coffee, shoes, etc….
I live in Va. We dont get snow? LOL
Lol. Yeah i know.
Awesome car you can't beat the Shelby they are always worth a mountain of cash
20k would have been too much. That car needs total restoration. At 50k in to begin that car will loose money now
Terrifying condition!
Mike is a Stand Up Guy for doing the car owner right.
Great segment guys.
Why didn’t Car Mike’s Restoration buy it himself and make all the money, instead of a commission or finders fee?
You will have 100k+ into that car when its done
Lol! My grandfather bought a VW Beetle brand new in 63. Drove it until he bought a 72 chevy c-10 with 350 4 barrel. Drove that to work for 2 weeks and then went back to driving the VW. Lol!!!
Well Bought. Great Color combination. Meeting the original owner, priceless!
Mike is crazy, there was a gold 67 Shelby in my hometown way nicer that original owner sold for 45k. But someone tried to double their money
Nobody says you have to restore it to concours level.
Someone should. I wish we could see the RUST underneath.
Great video!
That negotiation scene just looked like really bad acting !…..
The motor was out of the car, he said he had it rebuilt. Great find though!@
Great find for sure, but a very Hi price,
Did Mike say the owner took good care of it?
I think $50k was a fair price. It is an automatic car, and to bring it to concourse condition is gonna be twice that. Nice car.
They definitely get snow in Virginia . Not like canada but they get snow.
12:00 didn't the owner say the motor was rebuilt?
...and he didn't say when, it's been sitting for 27 years.
Nice ride 🙂🇺🇲
It has some parts missing. Will be interesting to see what they really find.
Believe Mike acts like a goober head 👍
Reality TV
Right up there with Orange County Choppers without the family fued

yay! thats what a deal is! everybody wins.
thanks for sharing. love this channel. look forward to watching when it pops up.
cheers from Maine
Barn could keep a lot of secrets like this GT350. Well done guys!
When I first saw the car I was thinking $50k. Restoration is going to be between $75-100k to bring it up to Legendry Motorcar standards.
Too much money for the car, but the Legendary folks will make $15,000 from this RUclips video.
Amazing video, you work for 40yrs to have $1M in your retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K into trading from just few months ago and now they are multimillionaires
Waking up every 14th of each month to $210,000 it's a blessing to I and my family... Big gratitude to Ann Marie strunk🙌🏼

Hello how do you make such monthly?? I'm a born Christian and sometimes I feel so down of myself because of low finance but I still believe in God

Dealing with a broker (middle man). How much is his cut. 🤔
Well, admittedly, all the “ Car Salespersonships” drama…. Some good , money to an owner…………
I can’t roll by eyes back farther
I own a 68 AMC AMX 343 automatic transmission M11 borg Warner
so, it'll cost over 100K to restore it?
Easily
that car needs to be in a show room for 6 months taking sealed bids sold to high bidder how many are left like that not many
Was this on Rt50 west of town?
50K, minus sellers fee of 10% is the going amount.
Not at GT500. Very rough. Rust on the roof like that. I would like to see the roof on that supposed barn.
It’s a GT350.
Nowhere is it said that it’s a GT500.
I know nobody said it was a GT500. I meant for value
@@BrentFrancis-h8oyeah I agree. Too much $$ for that car. But hey we didn’t buy it. 😂👍
Funny as shit. I really hate wolves. These freaking salesman..
$100k to restore and you have a $160K car...
I think Mike does not brief his clients on realistic prices when selling to people who themselves will resell them. Why pull them out of the garage to not be remotely realistic. Walking away was very wise.
That was stupid, you should have walked away.
Of course he wants every penny he can get, he’s a broker so he gets a percentage of the deal. I don’t do nearly the amount of business as Peter but I never deal with a middleman, ESPECIALLY a broker.
Rebuilt engine, ran when parked, original paint.... The CL ad writes itself 😂😂😂
You left out the "I know what I have, no low ballers". LOL
Good till the reality TV bidding crap started. Please stop insulting our intelligence.
Walk away, scumb brokers are not worth it.
I'd leave it JUST as they found it and roll it up on the B.J. stage... In a few years. The classic car market is gonna get hammered for a while in the forthcoming crap economy, imho.
Restore nothing, clean her up, make her safe and road worthy and drive...
50 was way too much .......if 50 was a good deal ... mike would have bought it .
Kept good care of it hmm sorry good care nope not a hope.
Too bad Richard Rollins just rips off old ppl . I lost a lot of respect for him after I saw that recently . Good on you for this and best of luck
$50,000 US Dollars. Really.
1947 Ford Truck American Truck Made In Canada Not A Canadian truck
rust bucket not a 500
Maybe hafe that
These guys are sharks and full of BS 50K ?
Im sick of these "resellers".
This was some weak drama and acting.
