Mur-dawg looked a bit slow moving across the crease but all-in-all looked like an NHL backup, I am good with that play! Gives Hildy more starting reps in the A; there is a good chance they will rely on him to play meaningful minutes in a few years considering his cap hit.
totally agree with Kyper. Love the team sticking up for Matthews but that was Knies opportunity to rep his line. I think the Whitecloud hit has Knies second guessing physical play a little bit.
I can't be the only Leafs fan that is mesermized and completely shocked at what this 3rd line is doing. Can you imagine if they continue at this pace? They can't, its actually impossible for these 3 players to night in, night out, out-score the Matthews line and Tavares line. But they've been doing that for 3 straight games. And now the question is, do we move on from Robertson?? I feel like now, with McMann -- Domi -- Robertson, this 3rd line that is defensively capable (and to an extent responsible), paired with the offensive output we're seeing? It would be ridiculous to split these 3 up. I would be tremendously disappointed.. these 3 are cooking. Let em cook. This is what we've been praying for in Domi and Robertson, specfically. Edit: and yeah, agree completely. Matthews should be sitting. He should be recovering. I don't know why there aren't specific people within the organization that are capable of making these decisions for the long-term success of the athlete, and thereby the team. Regardless of you paying someone 13M a year, of course the athlete is entitled to some degree of autonomy. But isn't Berube, or his personal trainer capable of making the decision for him and saying "No, you're sitting for a few weeks?" -- or can the athlete veto a call like that and say "I'm playing. No arguments". I'm genuinely curioius as to the answer on that. If I'm at work, and my bosses tell me that they're insisting on giving me a leave of abscence because of my production in the office, and because they're worried about a healh condition, I can't argue and say "nope, not doing it"", I'll take my leave. Isn't it the same in professional sports? I know this message was too long; but I'm genuinely curious as to the answer to this..
Reilly is amongst the top 10 defensive point producers of the past 5 years. ahead of names like montour, mcavoy, hamilton. He'll quietly reach 50 points again this year. Any team interested in him would be looking at him as a top 4 D man if not top pair. You boys are a testament to the fact that the Toronto market is overly scrutinous. But I still like your show. S'go leafs.
@@ShawnUrich I made a table of defensive statistics for these 4 players that accounts for metrics like shot blocks, take aways, TOI, give aways, etc from 2020 onward because its dec 23rd, I had time and I'm petty. The numbers show that Mcavoy is the most committed defensively followed by Rielly. Like I said, Mo has more points than any of them in the past 5 years. All of this is to say that you, random person who replied to my youtube comment, are quantifiably wrong. And I want you to know that. Merry Christmas
I think what people are missing about Auston, is it can take 1 to 4 months for stem cells to help the problem area. Hopefully he heals sooner than later.
The Sabres issues start with Kevin Adams, get a real GM. Matthews needs to stand up for himself and his teammates, not the other way around. He's the captain, start acting and playing like one!
Boys, Matthews is becoming the odd top-skilled player out. He's so aloof & sure, talk about possible injury or whatever the heck is going on in his head, but he is NOT a team player. McKinnon, McDavid, Crosby, Reinhardt, Kucherov, go down the list of team's top players & they have positive impact on the team as a whole. In Matthews' 8+ seasons so far, he has not shown himself as the Captain for sure, but also that he is ready to elevate the team on his shoulders. Marner, Nylander, Tavares sure have, though.
But kiss is trash. He knows that shouldn't be goalie interference but he wanted to sound right against you Sam. Get off this "show" as fast as you can and stop lending relevance to this bumb 13:10 proves me wrong, i stand corrected
Minten & Cowan and a 2nd rd pick (could add a 4th rounder as well as a 7th if not enough) for Dahlin I had to repost this cuz autocorrect changed minten to Nintendo.. nice
Murr-Dawg looked pretty decent for a dude who's only played 10 AHL games in the last 2 years coming off potentially career ending surgery
Domi/McMann/Robertson line has 17 combined points in the last 3 gams. CRAZY. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
16 to be exact.
Thanks for the show fellas, Keep them coming.
Gentlemen,
Great show.
See ya tomorrow.
2:11 go do sabers talk guy 😂
Sammy, when you feel better you’ll be behind it
I caught an episode with Justin Bourne sitting in last week. Insightful , articulate, terrific . Knows his hockey .
Haha- the Leafs' "secondary scoring" has become their new "primary scoring" !!! 😄
I love the show but JD says “to me” so so so much😂😂😂
He says everything too much, dude never stops talking

2 goals called back for Murray god gave him a break

Knies shoulda stepped up when Matthews was getting repeatedly hit there, not Morgan Reilly!
Knies just coming off a concussion, also Mo a vet and has far more career fights. Would love Knies to stand up but wouldn’t expect it over Mo there
When are they going to eliminate the crosscheck? When someone gets a spine injury? C'mon people.

Reilly isn’t even close to McAvoy, Montour or Hamilton as a D man.

"feel good for the old guy" ... isn't Matt Murray the same age as JD ?
The Sabers are the Oakland A's of the NHL. Just wheeling out talent for everyone else to cash in on
Lol "Go do Sabres talk"... I don't like the rule either, but It kind of has to be this way.
Goalie vs. 4th liner talk
Yes, he holds the longest tenure in the room, but Reilly definitely needs to go fast! All due respect, but 7.5?! Duuuude lol C’mon Tre lol
Btw lol, Mo still lost the fight 😂
JD needs some better wifi man
Yeah Domi is filthy.
Reily takes too much to make him work for little upside he needs to just change his game to a more defensive style.
We should all try to be less happy for people who achieve success! What the hell is JD talking about
what"s the problem teacher?

Why is JD shitting over a Murray coming back from double hip surgery? Comparing to homeless people? Terrible take JD. Of course it’s inspiring.
Matthews doesn't look right. Agree with Sammy - rest him.
I love Buffalo teams but this hockey ream has zero leaders...
Omg, saying you’re happy for a guy who came back from the dead. Bad look guys, pick your cynical spots.
