The display is awesome, the performance is awesome, i'm happy with the cameras, battery life is nice, fast charging, it has a frickin IR blaster (super useful). P.S. I've dropped it a few times on the ground (concrete) - build quality is on point. Using the factory transparent case.
On mi9 with miui11 you can activate the pre -loading app in the special function to avoid the re-loading. Because the miui battery saver option closes the apps in background. This gives a qualitity extra turbo on your mi9.
Apple slowing down old iPhones because to battery health, and that's not wrong, as you can't expect high performance from older phones... But what do you prefer? An iPhone being slowing down over five years or an Android being abandoned after two years of release?
